In the Wednesday, December 28, 2022, full episode recap of CBS’ Bold and the Beautiful, Katie tells Carter he would be a great dad, Taylor learns Brooke spent Christmas with Ridge, and Bill baffles Steffy and Finn.
We also have Tuesday’s B&B recap where Bill came to Sheila’s aid, Taylor learned Thomas was fired, and Katie and Carter took their clothes off.
As Finn tries tying up Sheila at the cliff house, Steffy is startled when suddenly Bill walks in.
She assumes he will help them, but he has other plans.
He says that no one is calling the police and Sheila deserves a second chance.
Steffy and Finn are baffled.
Bill says everyone makes mistakes and needs some understanding.
He explains that Sheila has become part of his life. They won’t be calling the police and they won’t be pressing charges.
Sheila repeats that shooting them was an accident.
Steffy and Finn are appalled that Bill is defending her.
Bill and Sheila know what it’s like to have people turn their backs on them.
As much as Bill has tried to prove he can be a better man, the Logan sisters turned on him. The same is true of Steffy. No one gives a damn about him.
Sheila knows how that feels.
Finn reminds him that he helped Li rescue him from Sheila. How did this turnaround happen?
Bill is determined to make sure Sheila remains free.
Steffy assumes Sheila must have something on him.
Bill says he was alone for so long and no one cared. He tried so hard and no one wanted anything to do with him.
He can’t blame anyone for that given how much hurt he has caused.
Sheila cuddles up to him and says she wouldn’t blink an eye at his worst choices.
Bill explains he’s moving on with someone he can’t hurt.
Steffy says he can move on but there will be bars between them.
Bill says that’s not allowed. Steffy loses it and goes on about how Sheila needs to suffer.
Steffy can see that he is in a dark place, but no amount of loneliness can justify this. She reminds Sheila she shot her own son.
Sheila gets Bill to turn around and reveals his gunshot scar.
“You wouldn’t?” Steffy gasps.
Sheila says he would. She knows.
Bill tells Finn that Taylor shot him and he kept it quiet all these years. If she goes to the police, so does he.

B&B opinion: alternative storytelling
At Forrester Creations, Brooke and Taylor tell themselves that Sheila would not be stupid enough to go after anyone they care about.
Taylor assumes she would have appeared on Christmas if she was going to pop up.
They chat about what a great Christmas the doctor had with Steffy and the family.
Brooke had a festive time at Eric’s. She admits that Ridge showed up. That startles Taylor.
“I wasn’t with him with him,” Brooke insists, claiming she is staying true to their pact and hasn’t caved.
At this point in her life, she doesn’t feel like she needs a relationship.
Taylor is proud of them.
They think of all the times they were let down by Ridge and how they got used to it.
Brooke likes the new version of her. So does Taylor.
They laugh about how proud Stephanie would be of them. They have realized that they need to love themselves first and move forward.
Brooke is happy to be able to call her a friend.
Taylor gives her a hug.
“I never thought it would feel so good to be in your arms,” Brooke says.
Katie is with Carter in his office. They wear robes and drink wine. He reminds her that Sheila broke into her home once.
She’s glad she’s not going back there. Carter says she has him to help.
He makes her feel safe.
They call Will to check on him. She’s still jumpy with all the thunder.
Katie admires how good he is with Will and thinks he would be a great dad.
He pours her more wine and asks about Bill. She can’t deal with him while he’s wearing his sword necklace.
Going on about him is too much. She’s sure Carter doesn’t want to hear about her ex.
Carter hands her a belated Christmas gift. It’s a heart necklace.
He tells her that she has the strongest heart of anyone he’s ever known.
She puts it on and he says it’s beautiful.
They slow dance.
