Days of our Lives recap for Wednesday, December 28, 2022.
In today’s Days episode, Eric and Brady put their plan into action to kidnap Rachel, and Nancy presses Chloe about her love life.
In the last Days recap, Paulina’s spirits are raised when Eli shows up with the twins, and Sarah dumps Xander when she realizes he’s the clown kidnapper, while Sonny shocks Will by choosing Leo’s friendship over him.
In bed, Gabi and Li finish having sex at the Salem Inn when Stefan rushes in. Johnny and Wendy told him everything about how Li had Rolf brainwash him to make him forget his love for you.
Gabi yells, “How could you, you bastard?” She slaps him and he wakes up, startled. Kristen arrives to wish him good luck today.
He puts on a robe and Kristen can see guilt all over his face. He said he had a bad dream. Kristen thinks it’s about Stefan and vows she won’t tell him what he did.
He reveals that Johnny and Wendy know everything. Kristen huffs out a sigh.
She starts yelling and he assures her his sister is loyal and won’t say a word and Johnny will keep quiet. She relaxes.
Gabi finds Rafe in the kitchen at his house cooking. He tells her he’s treating her like a queen today.
She tests his cooking and calls it rich, cheesy and fattening.
How will she get into her wedding dress after this meal?
He takes it away and she takes it back, telling him the man of her dreams will like her the way she is.
Rafe hopes Li Shin is the man she loves.
Gabi barks about how Stefan never really loved her and they eat and drink coffee and she hopes he’s over the warnings. He says being her big brother isn’t as easy as it looks.
She says he’s good at it most of the time. Talk turns to his bachelorhood. She detected something between him and Jada at Christmas.
He reminds her she’s a co-worker and his subordinate. She asks him to invite her to her wedding. Rafe snarks that she never heard a thing he just said.
She tries to call Jada but he grabs her phone and refuses to let her. She gets a notification with photos of her and Li and she seems happy until one of her and Stefan pops up.
Wendy shows up and Gabs pops a bottle of champagne and they drink.
In New York City, Chloe and Stefan snuggle at Nancy’s condo.
They’re enjoying themselves but she feels guilty for going to Miami when she could be depriving him of the chance to throw Gabi’s face in her wedding.
They talk about how good the show was and that her family loved it.
Chloe plans on showing him how much she appreciates it in Miami.
They make out and he dashes out to get some breakfast bagels from Zabar’s. Nancy appears and they talk about how happy Nancy and Mike are.
Chloe says so are she and Stefan. Nancy calls him generous but she worries Chloe’s not over Brady.
Chloe claims she is but Nancy calls this rebound with Stefan fast. They argue and Chloe reminds her mama that Brady moved Kristen in right away.
Nancy isn’t excusing that. Chloe gets emotional. She doesn’t think they’re supposed to be together anymore. She does admit she learned Kristen isn’t sleeping in the same room as Brady, but she’s having fun with Stefan.
They’re taking it slow. She thinks fate gave them another chance. They talk about When Harry Met Sally and how much Nancy loves that movie.
She thinks it could be Chloe’s life. Chloe says her life isn’t a movie. Nancy thinks it’d be romantic if she showed up before the clock strikes midnight.
Stefan returns and they rush to pack before they have to take a flight. They say goodbye and I love yous and head out with Nancy looking worried.

Johnny and Wendy talk in the DiMera mansion while she tells him she wants to wear the scarf at her brother’s wedding.
She feels bad that she has to be in the wedding knowing her brother broke his vows before the wedding.
She wishes she could skip it. They lightly flirt. It looks like he’s going to kiss her and then he pulls back.
At the pub, Brady talks to Rachel on a call. Eric arrives and Brady says he had such a good Christmas.
He’s not thrilled to have to kidnap his own daughter. Eric says it has to be tonight. They have to make her believe they’re going on a vacation.
They just need to ensure Kristen doesn’t go home early. Eric has an idea that Eric won’t like.
Eric wants his bro to take Kristen to the wedding as his date. “It can’t fail,” he says. Jada walks up.
She assumes he’s avoiding her but he’s not. She wanders to another table and the men cinch their plan.
Brady goes and Eric sits with Jada and admits he hasn’t been staying in his room since the —. She interrupts and says she heard about his arrest and that his lawyer is a “full-service attorney.”
He’s surprised she knows. He asks her to be friends.
He says his issue was getting involved with her when he had unresolved feelings for Nicole.
Jada is grateful when he apologizes but she needs time before they become friends.
Later, Eric hops on a call to Marlena to tell her to go to the wedding with John and he’ll look after Rachel.
At SPD, Jada and Rafe talk about Gabi’s New Year’s wedding.
Rafe asks her to come.
She seems surprised but reluctantly agrees.
Li visits Johny at the DiMera house. He’s there to ensure Johnny keeps his mouth shut.
Johnny says Wendy’s in knots over this and calls Li a crappy brother.
Li gets in his face and asks how he dares to say that when he believes he’s a good brother.
Johnny throws his lies in his face and says it’d be easier to level with Gabi and take his chances but Li can’t.
Johnny shows him the door.
Brady watches Kristen at the Horton square.
He tells her that since they’re both going to the wedding, it’s silly to go separately. She’s shocked.
Why would he ask her? He wanted to beat her to the punch, knowing she’d try to force him to go with her.
He wanted to do it on his own terms. She laughs and agrees to it. She wants to bring Rachel.
Brady talks her out of it since the reception is at night.
It’ll be too late.
