The nominations for the 51st Annual Daytime Emmys have been announced!
The list of Daytime Emmy nominees has been announced.
When are the Daytime Emmys?
The awards ceremony is scheduled for Friday, June 7, 2024, and will be once again held at the Westin Bonaventure Hotel in Los Angeles. The broadcast runs from 8-10 PM EST/delayed PT.
How to watch the Daytime Emmys?
Fans will still likely be able to watch the Daytime Emmys once again on CBS or Paramount+ to watch the ceremony. The Daytime Emmys have recognized outstanding achievements in TV since 1974 and just last year, General Hospital won the award for Outstanding Daytime Drama.
Here they are, the 51st Annual Daytime Emmy nominations.
A few reminders of how the nomination process works: These nominations are based solely on the work the actors did from January 1 to December 31, 2023. Not 2024.
Each actor puts themselves up to receive a nomination, and the newcomers can submit even one scene and still receive a nomination.
Changes to this year’s rule that the Daytime Emmys won’t include a category devoted to younger performers in a daytime drama.
Instead, they are required to enter themselves into lead, supporting, or guest categories.
Additional information, such as the Lifetime Achievement honoree, nominations and the host, will be announced at a later date.
The 51st Annual Daytime Emmy Awards is produced by NATAS and Associated Television International (ATI).
Adam Sharp and Lisa Armstrong are executive producers from NATAS and David McKenzie is the executive producer from ATI.
“We eagerly anticipate our return in June as we once again partner with CBS to recognize the exceptional and talented individuals who make daytime television great,” Adam Sharp said in a statement, adding, “We’re thrilled to kick off our second half-century of the Daytime Emmys.”

How did Neighbours make it to eligibility for the first time on these shores? When Amazon Freevee revived the show in 2023 after it had been cancelled in 2022, Amazon MGM Studios became the primary financier and distributor, making the show eligible for a U.S.A Daytime Emmy for the first time. The series now premieres simultaneously in the US and UK on Amazon Freevee, while continuing to air on Network 10 in Australia.

The Daytime Emmys has eliminated the younger performer category. Adam Sharp, President of NATAS says, “Programming is always changing, and NATAS continues to adapt its competition rules to reflect these shifts in the television landscape. We’re looking forward to gathering again at the 51st Daytime Emmys to celebrate all the nominees and the entertaining and enlightening programs they create.”
In 2023, Eden McCoy won the award for Outstanding Younger Performer. That’s the last time we’ll see this category. It was a highlight for us. If you miss this category, tell us in the comments who you would award a Daytime Emmy to if you were able within that younger group of actors.
