Tues Dec 5, 2023: Today on General Hospital, Ava confronts Cyrus, Laura offers Esme reassurance, Curtis has questions for Sonny, Blaze opens up to Kristina and Dante talks to Sam about his discovery.
Monday’s GH recap: BLQ Accepts Chase’s Proposal, TJ Agrees to Let Kristina be a Surrogate & Kristina and Blaze Kiss.
Esme and Laura pack up Esme and Ace’s things.
Esme’s grateful for all Laura has done for them.
They embrace after Laura admits she’ll miss them.
Esme worries she’ll blow it all, moving out on her own. Laura thinks it means she’ll be careful but if it comes down to it, she can move back in. Esme’s comforted by that thought.
Ava strolls into Metro Court bar. Cyrus is mopping up and tells her they’re closed.
She tells him Austin Gatlin-Holt is dead and asks why he killed him.
He seems surprised and calls it a tragedy and Ava a callous woman.
He says even if he was responsible, why would he tell her?
She knows he ordered Mason to kidnap her and how he got out of jail, with Austin’s help.
She figures he repaid the man by taking his life.
Cyrus didn’t kill the man and calls it tragic. He thinks she killed the doctor and tells her his alibi is that he was at work.
She leaves when he suggests she doesn’t have an alibi. Later, Laura turns up and he blathers about how Ava needs absolution for her guilty conscience and he should know.
She came to see how he was but he’s confused since last he saw her, she threw him out of her house.
He thinks she should just stay away, thinking of him being an ex-con who embarrasses her.
She reminds him she works in a public place.
She thinks he was right that they’re family and they should look for middle ground. It’s all he’s tried to do he claims. “It’s a little late,” he tells her.
He starts bellowing about how family will never take a cent from him and they won’t ask for his help.
He brings up Spencer and becomes emotional that her, his mother and Martin can continue to treat him like dirt but God knew he’s more than that and it’s enough for him.
Laura says he’s right. She hopes her doubts about him are wrong. She thanks him for keeping Spencer safe. She asks for time to wait and see.
He’s fine with that. He tells her he’s visiting his mom soon so not to worry about him.
She asks him to give his mom her best. Cyrus missed her while in prison even though she didn’t miss him. She goes.
At Kristina’s place, Blaze and Kristina finish their kiss and Kristina says she had no idea she was gay.
Blaze is jealous of those out and proud but she says for her, it’s not an option.
She quickly restates that. It went well for her.
She came out to her family after being involved with an older woman.
Their concerns were valid. Her dad’s old school and traditional but they’re very close.
Kristina understands. Everyone’s on their own journey.
That touches Blaze who hasn’t been in a long-term relationship and how people get hurt.
Kristina’s surprised Linc didn’t know.
She’s kept it from her family who is Catholic.
She has an uncle who hasn’t been seen in years and assumes it’s because he’s gay. If he came out to his family, he lost them because of it. She cries that she’s not brave enough to risk a loss like that.
Kristina knows it’s the scariest decision you can make to come out to family but calls it necessary.
Kristina respects her choice which makes Blaze feel good. Kristina will support whatever she decides. They kiss.
Anna visits Felicia at her house. She talks about Robert surprising her with Emma’s visitation.
She’s back at school and Anna could use a friend. Felicia assures her she’s come to the right place.
Felicia also suggests she visit Robin in Berkley. Anna cries, thinking about shooting a kid. They embrace again.
Anna cries some more and talks about thinking it was the enemy from her days in the WSB.
She fills her friend in on the fact that Valentin knew that Victor got into Charlotte’s head and convinced her that Anna was a threat. He didn’t tell her. Felicia’s shocked.
Why not? Anna doesn’t think he trusts anyone, let alone her since he’s untrustworthy.
“It’s over. I mean, that is it for us,” she says.
This shattered any illusions she had with him but she knew it was a risk.
She didn’t know it’d end this badly. Felicia asks who was targeting her from WSB.
She explains who Jameson Forsyth is and that she had a report about it in an old trunk in England in storage.
A few years ago she brought it over and never got around to opening it. She knew Forsyth would kill before letting that out. She thought he was at her new house, there to kill her.
She yelled Freeze and they turned with what she thought was a weapon. “I fired, thinking it was him.” Someone took out everything in her trunk that had anything to do with Forsyth and he was found dead after.
The women assume he was murdered. He died because of what’s in that report.

At home, Dante shows Sam the key that’ll help them find out who is after Anna.
It was found on Forsyth after his hit and run and opens a locker at the train station.
Sam learns who Forsyth is and the whole story.
He has to check the locker to see what’s in it and confesses Anna doesn’t know yet.
He’s concerned about leading someone there.
Later, they get into bed and discuss how both believe it’s a trap, that the locker’s under surveillance.
Dante asks him to turn the key over to PCPD. He thinks it’ll put Anna in more danger.
Whoever wants to bury that report is going to want to bury Anna.
In his room at Metro Court, Mr. Brennan (Pikeman) and Hume open the briefcase filled with money that Sonny refused.
Pikeman thinks it’d have been easier to just pay him off.
He talks about being in Port Charles for as long as it takes to set up operations so that Pikeman can ship merchandise to Canada for further international distribution.
He’ll handle it in person, wanting it done right.
He learned that the hard way with Forsyth and needs to clean up that mess, too, since he failed to handle Anna Devane.
Hume wonders if an extended absence will be a problem for the director of the WSB.
Pikeman shrugs. It’s the good thing about being the director. Not many need to know where he is. Hume thinks he can run it as he sees fit.
Once he ousted Frisco Jones, the rest was easy and many transferred out.
He’ll have to go to London now and then to keep them on their toes but otherwise, he can do things his way.
When Hume asks who their priority is, Pikeman says Sonny and Anna.
Hume asks why not eliminate Corinthos. It’s still on the table, Pikeman says as a last resort.
There would be a power vacuum if he was gone. State and federal would be nosing around.
He needs to secure Sonny’s cooperation. Money doesn’t work which means they need a different kind of leverage. Hume asks why Anna’s so important but that’s classified.
He can see how the intel could be useful to Hume and says back in the 80s, Anna worked at WSB with Forsyth who screwed up.
WSB buried it and Anna kept a copy of the original mission report naming those responsible.
Hume thinks it’d be embarrassing if it got out.
Forsyth was supposed to get the report and eliminate Anna but he failed at both.
Now that Forsyth’s dead, that report is still out there like a ticking time bomb.
At Pozzulo’s, Curtis asks Sonny who could want a shot at Sonny at Metro Court.
Sonny’s not sure but the case is open. Anna’s list is as long as his but difficult to track down.
Curtis wants to find them himself.
Sonny talks about his arrest that Cyrus was behind.
Curtis thinks he could have arranged he hit but Sonny’s not sure.
He brings up Pikeman Security and how they’re in bed with the WSB. Former WSB agents work for Pikeman and Pikeman agents work for the bureau.
He didn’t accept their overtures which didn’t go down with them.
Curtis assumes he’s going to come gunning for him. Sonny clarifies that he’s not sure Pikeman tried to kill him or wants Anna taken out. Curtis is on it.
