Weds Feb 7, 2024: Today on General Hospital, Spencer’s family and friends say goodbye, a surprise mourner appears for Esme, Dante is conflicted and Finn makes a realization about Gregory
Tuesday’s GH recap: Martin Catches Lucy with Scott, Anna Takes the Police Commissioner’s Job, and Brick is Confident Dex is the Traitor
It’s the day of Spencer’s memorial and Laura and Kevin lay down two white roses on Spencer’s ‘grave’.
Cyrus comes in next with his own rose.
Alexis’s voice is heard as she gives a eulogy about how she had the difficult task of summing up Spencer to aptly describe who he was.
Sonny lays down his own rose and shares a look with Cyrus.
Ava leaves another rose and Trina and Portia are next.
Trina blinks back tears as Alexis’ voice calls Spencer magnetic, larger than life and that he captivated with his soulfulness and that he’d make you laugh so hard you’d cry.
Joss hugs Trina as everyone else starts to appear, placing roses on the grave. Cameron (William Lipton) arrives and sets down a rose as Alexis says if they can’t hold on to Spencer in the flesh, they can hold him in their heard.
Cam hugs Trina. Alexis leaves a rose as her voice is heard saying that it’s what Spencer would want.
Trina can’t believe this is happening. Cam’s so sorry.
She is too, for him. The three of them have been friends since childhood.
Cam and Joss say hello and she asks for a hug.
They embrace and she’s happy he came.
Trina’s not sure she can handle Wyndemere so Cam tells her to take care of herself. He offers anything if she needs it.
Sonny tells Alexis she did great. Laura calls it a beautiful eulogy.
Laura thanks Ava for opening the house and says the launch is ready. Wyndemere was special to Spencer.
Ava goes to hug Trina, who says she’s numb. Ava calls grief a roller coaster. Trina calls her supportive.
Ava’s sorry he’s gone but she’ll always be there for her.
They hug again and Portia tells her they’re taking Trina home.
Ava cries and hugs Trina again. She’s a phone call away.
Marshall wheels Curtis as they take off.
Cam goes to Liz and they discuss their legendary competition.
Gregory and Finn are sorry for his loss. Aiden’s been baking all morning so Liz says to “get ready.”
They all part ways.
Dante and Sonny and Sam head to Wyndemere as Laura holds Cam’s hands, telling him it’s good to see him.
They grieve together. Finn and Gregory are left at the graveyard.
Gregory thinks he wants a funeral. He originally didn’t.
Finn doesn’t think he needs to consider that right now but it’s all he can think about.
He has issues breathing and Finn panics. Gregory asks him to talk to him so Finn tells his dad he made brownies for Violet’s school and how it was a disaster.
He had to get Aiden to make them.
Gregory starts to calm down and says this has happened before.
Finn freaks out that he can’t save his dad. Nobody can.
Liz goes to Esme’s ‘grave’ and Kevin appears, white rose in hand. He sets it on Esme’s grave.
She feels bad about helping Nikolas hold her captive.
Kevin arranged for the marker and says he’s never known anyone as alone as Esme.
He felt for her after the amnesia. Heather arrives with a guard and cries out.
“Where’s my baby? Where’s Esme?”
She sees the marker and grave and starts to howl and sob uncontrollably.
The guard lets her go and she crawls over the grave, devastated.
She tried to warn her to forget about Spencer until she could help her hold her little boy again.
She grips the marker and says nobody was worthy of her. Why did she go to France?
They said she was washed out to sea.
She dries tears and thinks Esme must be so cold. Liz tells her she’s sorry for her loss, knowing it doesn’t mean much coming from her. Heather is confused.
Liz thinks she’s angry for helping Nik hold her hostage. Heather says no. She came forward. “I admire you, Elizabeth.”
She knows why her Franco loved her. She blames Kevin.
Liz defends Kevin but he lets Heather rant as she yells and blames him for bringing Ryan back into the world after she shielded her kid from him.
She thinks Kevin’s a criminal. Liz again defends him. Heather calls her a good person.
The guard tells Heather that visitation time is up and Heather blows up and asks what’ll happen to Ace.
Kevin vows to care for him. She can trust that he’s in good hands since Laura loves him.
Heather begs Liz to keep an eye on them. She says there’ll be hell to pay if he doesn’t, then kisses the marker before she goes.
Liz goes back to Finn after Gregory’s gone and they talk of his struggles and that they’re getting worse.
He won’t be able to care for himself much longer.
At home, Michael wipes off food from his shirt as Willow comes in from aa shift at General Hospital.
Michael says Wiley’s off to school, but without his work book, and Amelia’s food got all over him when he fed her.
She wipes his face. He admits he said no to Drew who asked to help him get back at Nina.
He wants to focus on family. She thinks he and his dad need to heal, too, not just them.
Michael doesn’t respond so she pressures him.

At home, Trina gets a letter from the Sorbonne.
They’re saving a place for her but there’s no way she’ll ever return to Paris, she says, glumly.
Her parents tell her she doesn’t have to.
Trina tells them school is meaningless now. Everything is. Portia says she’s hurting but…
Trina says having an education doesn’t help Spencer, who died saving her life.
Curtis says you don’t make life changes while mourning.
Trina wonders about his purpose. 
ABC
It’s gone and she can’t bring him back. Her mom hugs her.
Trina decides to take a walk and goes alone, holding her turtledove as she thinks of Spencer.
At Wyndemere, Laura, Dante and Ava and Sam talk about Nikolas’ arrest.
Dante didn’t find joy in it. Ava says it’s fine. She understands. Laura calls it a nightmare as Ava goes to get the door.
Sonny and Alexis talk about the circle of life as Ava gets the door to Cyrus.
Joss and Cam hug as they look at old photos and Joss says Spencer looked up to him.
Nearby, Dante fills Liz in on Sonny’s issues and Jagger’s return.
When Sonny appears, Dante can’t tell him much about the ongoing case. Sonny says goodbye to Ava. He’ll see her at home.
Back at the door, Ava doesn’t want Cyrus there but allows him to come in for Laura.
Ava closes herself in the other room while Cyrus claims he didn’t expect hostility. Laura is surprised he expected anything but that. People see him as a monster. Cyrus wants a new beginning with her and thinks Spencer would want that. “Would he?” She asks, eyes wide. He goes.
Later, Ava says bye to Joss and Cam. He asks how she and Dex are.
She says they’re fine and he makes her happy. It’s all he wants.
At the office, Sonny calls Brick for intel on who the traitor is so he can be dealt with, permanently.
