General Hospital recap for Wednesday, June 14, 2023. In today’s GH episode, Sasha starts the process of ending her guardianship, Curtis has a birthday party, and Jordan gives Taggert some support.
We also have Friday’s GH recap where Ned remained unconscious, and Chase cleared Drew of Tracy’s accusation but discovered a clue.
Curtis gets out of the pool at the Metro Court. Zeke wishes him happy birthday and promises to be back for cake.
Portia keeps checking her phone, hoping her daughter will be in touch. Trina arrives with a gift.
He’s really glad she came. Everyone gets hugs from her. Curtis explains TJ has to work.
Marshall tells them all how blessed he felt when Curtis was born. He wanted to teach him to be open to new experiences but things turned out differently.
Knocking wood, he tells them how blessed he feels and chokes up before toasting.
Stella adds a welcome to the family to Trina. She grabs a camera to take a picture.
Trina runs off. Stella wonders if it’s something she did. Marshall suggests she ease up.
They need to give Trina time to want to be with them.
It kills her that Trina will never get a chance to know her sister Irene.
He assures her there will be plenty of time for that. She will get to know the family she didn’t get to be part of.
Stella says she can be patient.
Meanwhile, Curtis tells Portia they need to chill on the insta-family. Portia points out she already lives with Carly, how much more room does she need?
Her husband says it will just take time to get used to the situation. She wants to talk about them and where they stand.
He admits that he would have loved to see Trina grow up but he has every moment from now to connect with her if she’ll let him.
At some point, you just have to forgive and move on. She asks if there is still hope for them to become a real family.
“There is,” he says.
Trina returns. They ask after Taggert. She claims he’s fine. When Portia steps away, Trina asks Curtis to open the gift she brought.
It’s something she made as a child. They take a selfie together.
Jordan goes to the Metro Court and sends Zeke a text. He soon joins her but needs to meet a client. They agree to lunch.
Drew calls Michael and thanks him for holding down the fort at Aurora. He needs to take care of some business. He’s taking the future into his own hands.
He gets a table and Zeke joins him. He’s on his way to talk to the SEC and advises him against the deal he’s proposed.
Drew tells him to hold off on finalizing it because he has one last shot.
As Jordan heads out, she bumps into Taggert, who is clearly drunk. She wonders if he’s okay and recalls Portia telling her he might need a friend.
Jordan takes Taggert up to his room and tells him alcohol won’t help. He says she doesn’t know what it feels like to lose a daughter.
She reminds him that Trina is still his daughter. He’s been trying to convince himself of that but the test results left him feeling crushed.
Taggert is trying to keep a brave front up and doesn’t want to get in the way of her getting to know her real family. She says he’s part of her real family too.
He explains that the last time he saw her, he noticed all the features that he thought came from his side of the family. He realized everything he thought made up his daughter came from someone else.
Through all of his mistakes, he always told himself he did one thing perfect: his daughter. But he was wrong. She says no one can take this away from him but he says they already have.
Zeke bumps into Portia in the Metro Court. He explains he saw Taggert and he didn’t look well.

Gladys joins Sasha at General Hospital and urges her not to jump into terminating the guardianship. Sasha doesn’t want to go over this again.
Sam and Dante show up. Sam talks about how Cody saved the day when Sasha was being manipulated on the shopping show.
Gladys reminds them he’s a thief. Sam points out that hasn’t been proven.
The cop walks off to take a call and Sasha explains she’s there to start the process of ending the guardianship. Sam wonders how Gladys feels about that.
Gladys gets defensive. Dante returns and Sam wishes Sasha luck before they take off.
Sasha tells Gladys it’s time she took her life back. They sit and Gladys insists she’s just concerned about her.
Sasha is starting to think she can’t see how far she’s come. It’s like she doesn’t believe in her.
Gladys says that’s not it. She just wants to do right by her and her son.
Dr. Montague comes out and brings Sasha into his office, explaining that Gladys is not joining them today.
Alone in his office, the doctor tells Sasha he’s been through her file and knows how hard things have been. She tells him how much Gladys has stepped up for her. She knows Gladys will always have her best interests at heart.
The doctor asks about them butting heads.
After the session, Gladys corners Montague and asks if he needs to recuse himself since they know each other from the poker game.
BLQ finds Olivia praying with her rosary. When she was growing up, Olivia never wanted to be an old lady who would pray like this but now she’s old.
She’s been praying all night but doesn’t feel like God is listening. Carly arrives with coffee. She wanted to be there for her.
TJ comes out and explains they have news. Olivia asks Carly to stay.
The doctor explains they put Ned under sedation to deal with his brain swelling. They aren’t seeing as much improvement as they’d like. If the swelling persists, he’ll have to have surgery.
He walks off and Olivia realizes she has to tell Tracy and Leo this. She’s grateful Drew was there.
“There isn’t anyone Drew wouldn’t help,” Carly says. That sets Liv off. She only wants people there who are rooting for Ned.
Dante and Sam arrive and Carly leaves, telling Olivia she’ll be praying for Ned.
Dante hugs his weeping mother and she explains the latest news from the doctors. Sam walks off to take a call as Dante tries to keep his mom calm.
She starts beating herself up and he reminds her she told Ned she knew he wasn’t guilty. She thinks of all the time they lost and might never get back.
TJ returns and explains the latest test results show Ned won’t need surgery. Olivia is thrilled and throws her arms around him. There ae still a lot of unknowns but they are cautiously optimistic.
Olivia is happy the family finally got some good news.
Carly joins Drew at the Metro Court and worries she made everything worse with Olivia. He’s sure they will work that out.
She panics about the SEC charges. He explains that he’s got some dirt on Tracy. He tells her about Tracy trying to get him blamed for what happened to Ned.
Diane calls her to tell her the latest from the SEC. Carly makes it clear she’s not turning on anyone.
Drew tells her that’s brave, but now what? They both don’t have to go down for this.
