General Hospital recap for Monday, October 3, 2022. In today’s GH episode, Drew and Carly talk strategy, Gregory tells Finn Liz has been asking about Reiko, and Sasha turns to Maxie for help.
We also have Friday’s GH recap where Spencer was attacked in prison, Ava refused to go home with Nikolas, and Nina is the key to get to Charlotte.
Carly wakes up in her hotel room in Jacksonville. Drew comes in after jogging. He wonders if she’d have missed him if he left.
She didn’t sleep much because she was tossing and turning. Sleeping alone is taking some getting used to. He offers to teach her some sleeping techniques.
She appreciates all his help but thinks she should just call Diane for legal advice. When she learns she’s been attacked, she panics and wants to go back.
Drew tells her she’s safer staying there and so are her kids. Plus, she has unfinished business there.
After he confirms the kids are okay, she agrees to stay put.
Once he has a shower, she calls him as breakfast arrives and he comes out glistening in a towel.
As he gets dressed, he explains that he’s contacted a local journalist to cover her story.
He warns it is equally likely to bring pushback. She needs to play the sympathy card.
Plus, they will scrutinize her past.
Carly assures her that she can handle all of that. She can’t understand why Payton doesn’t have more empathy. She’s not afraid of how anyone spins this.
Carly thanks him for being there. She’s glad she doesn’t have to do this alone.
Sasha stops by the Deception office to see Maxie, who throws her arms around her.
Sasha knows she’s supposed to step back from the company but doesn’t know where to go.
Maxie gets her tea but assures her she’s not obliged to drink it.
Sasha asks for helping picking out something to wear to Brando’s funeral. Her credit cards still don’t work.
After Maxie gets her an outfit, Sasha admits she has no idea what to do with her life now.
Her friend tells her to follow her routines. If her bubble breaks, there will be people who love her there to help.
“I survived it, you can too,” Maxie tells her.
At Pentonville, an inmate, Book, clobbers Spencer and accuses him of stealing his library job.
When he hits Spencer again, he starts threatening to do worse until Cyrus interrupts and begins quoting scripture.
The Book backs off, warning Spencer that the next time he’ll make sure they’re not interrupted.
Spencer assumes Cyrus wants something in exchange for helping him. Renault talks around it, and Spencer asks again.
Cyrus reminds him they are family. Besides, he would have done the same for anyone. Spencer doesn’t buy it and accuses him of orchestrating the attack.
Renault insists he’s changed and he has nothing to fear from him.
He warns that he may have protection, but that doesn’t extend to everyone. Cyrus has his own ways to handle those people.
“I am here for you. All you have to do is call,” Cyrus tells him before walking out.
Sonny finds Dante waiting for him at Pozzulo’s. He asks his father where Dex is.
Sonny claims it’s his day off.
Kristina blows in and asks her father to re-assign Dex as her bodyguard.
The other one is scaring her customers away.
She thinks it’s ridiculous when they tell her that he’s a suspect in the attacks.
Her father orders her to trust who he assigns to her. She refuses.
As she vents about her mom, Dante joins in to complain about his.
Eventually, she agrees to take the bodyguard to work with her.
Dante tells his father that they haven’t been able to find Dex and wonders if he has any ideas.
He gets a call and Sonny flashes back to assigning Caver to torture Dex.
The cop announces Diane is out of surgery, so they rush out.

Kelly Thiebaud exits and the latest GH comings and goings
At General Hospital, Liz asks Gregory about Finn’s late wife.
He can’t tell her much because he and his son were not in contact back then.
He hates that he wasn’t there to support him when she died.
He assures her that Finn has moved on from all that and is happy with her.
Finn informs Alexis and Robert that Diane made it out of surgery, and it looks like she’ll be alright.
The doctor and Alexis find his father and Liz. They tell them about Diane.
Finn and Liz check Diane’s vitals and he tells her about his argument with Nikolas.
She’s sorry he got on his case. In his own way, he was looking out for her. She guesses their connection really hasn’t gone away.
Alexis thanks Gregory for keeping her company and listening to her.
He tells her how important it is for him to be there to support a friend.
She’s happy to hear they are friends.
Dante and Sonny arrive. The mobster and Robert sneer at each other, but they both want the attacker stopped.
Sonny finds Alexis and Gregory instantly takes off.
Gregory finds his son and tells him Liz just needs some reassurance.
She was asking about Reiko earlier. Finn is confused but his father thinks she’s likely just insecure.
The doctor still doesn’t know why she’d be asking about her in particular.
Dante and Robert discuss their evidence. They are starting to think Dex is an unlikely suspect. Whoever it is, has a nasty modus operandi.
Trina and Joss go to Charlie’s. Joss is annoyed to discover Dex isn’t on social media. She worries he’s in legal trouble or some other kind.
Her friend doesn’t know why she’s so concerned.
Joss changes the topic. Her friend explains that Ava has closed the gallery to keep her safe. She’s annoyed that this was Curtis’ idea and he pulled strings to get her a fellowship.
Joss is perplexed when she explains she is turning down the fellowship. Trina doesn’t want Curtis hovering over her. Rory sends her a text, asking her to a comic convention out of town.
They turn to worrying about Esme going missing and Spencer being in jail.
No one has gone to visit yet.
Joss reminds her she missed the chance to say goodbye to him before he was shipped off and asks what she would have said.
Before she gets an answer, Kristina shows up and chats with Joss about the attacks and Dex.
When she mentions Sonny seems to think Dex is guilty, Joss panics and rushes out.
When Joss gets to Pozzulo’s, she finds Carver standing around with a knife.
