General Hospital recap for Wednesday, August 10, 2022. In today’s GH episode, Victor asks Alexis to help keep Spencer out of jail, Maxie grills Spinelli about his interest in Britt, and Anna questions Martin about Valentin.
We also have Tuesday’s GH recap where Sonny and Nina committed to each other, Ava backed out of the divorce, and Cody punched Scott.
Maxie tries to get Spinelli to calm down as he quakes and gasps during his pedicure at the salon. Once his treatment is done, he thanks Maxie for pampering his cuticles.
She asks him when he was going to tell her about his feelings for Britt. He’s appalled that Maximista has played him like this. She grills him and he flashes back to Cody blackmailing him.
Spinelli claims he’s feelings for Britt are a recent development. She loves Britt but they are hardly a match made in heaven. How could his algorithm pair them?
He claims that he just one day knew she was the one. She squints and asks what will happen if Britt changes her mind about him.
Austin calls her.
On the patio, Nikolas tells Ava they might as well be divorced if she refuses to live with him. This doesn’t woo her and she exits as Alexis arrives.
She asks Nikolas what he did this time. He claims he can sort it out; his wife won’t let a stupid mistake ruin their marriage. Knowing Ava, she doubts that.
Victor shows up. He arranged for them to meet there so they could discuss family issues.
They recap what’s happened to Spencer. Alexis isn’t sure how she can help. Victor thinks they can use the press to keep him out of Pentonville.
She can’t do that but she can help Trina. It’s not too late to build a case against Esme.
Nikolas informs her that she’s disappeared. Victor leaves to start the search for her.
Nikolas tells her that this was Victor’s idea, not his, but he’s sure she would go along with it if it was to help her daughters.
Nina and Sonny kiss at Charlie’s. She almost forgot what that felt like. Kissing is something he could put on a resume.
He tells her about his other skills, like dancing, fashion and marinara sauce. They make a date and he walks her out.
Martin gets a table and calls Lucy, eager to see her. He’s about to run out when Anna corners him. The lawyer wants to escape and worries she’s flirting with him.
She orders him to sit down and claims she needs his services. Anna asks him what Valentin is hiding. He can’t discuss his client and will tell him she is betraying him,
She brings up his three ex-wives and the assets he kept from them. She threatens to send a spreadsheet to their attorneys. He claims he’s used that money to help his mother.
Martin vents about how predatory his ex-wives are. This only convinces her that crossing his wives is a greater risk than crossing Valentin.
If he comes through for her, she will protect him from his ex-wives.

In the Metro Court, Drew bars Valentin’s exit. Grabbing his shoulder, he tells him he wants them to get things straight. He suggests this could benefit them both.
Drew offers to simplify his life by taking ELQ off his hands. Valentin isn’t interested.
“What would it be worth to you if there was one less Cassadine mixing things up?” Drew offers. He wonders if he is offering to eliminate someone.
Drew is sure that he would be happy to have Victor out of his life. He reminds him of what Victor did to him and how he kept him away from his child.
Valentin doesn’t seem enthusiastic but asks what it will cost him. Drew says it will only cost him ELQ. “How?” asks the Cassadine.
Drew isn’t giving up the details immediately. He urges him to think this over. Valentin warns him not to drift back into Victor’s sights and that applies to his family too.
Ava arrives at the bar and gets a drink. Nina sits down beside her and starts talking about fluffy clouds. The Jerome wonders why she’s so sunny.
Ava is happy to hear that the flame with Sonny hasn’t died. Nina knows that Carly will always be a gnat in the relationship but she can live with it.
The topic turns to Nikolas but Ava isn’t explaining much. Nina is happy so it’s just as well.
At the PCPD, Dante brings Spencer in to discuss him slipping out of Spring Ridge. He uncuffs him and gives him food courtesy of Cam.
The cop informs him that Martin has been speaking to Robert and his situation may be improving. Spencer says he will live with the consequences of what he did.
Dante points out he took long enough to come forward with an alibi for Trina. Mopey Spencer hopes it helped.
Sonny arrives outside and Dante meets him. Sonny heard about what happened and wonders if Spencer needs help.
Sonny visits Spencer, who asks him how Pentonville is. The mobster tells him it’s a certainty that he’ll be serving his original sentence. He wants to help him get ready.
His guys on the inside have already put the word out that he’s untouchable. He needs to keep his head down and his mouth shut.
Sonny tells him he’s proud of him for putting his freedom on the line for Trina.
Spencer worries he may have confessed for nothing. He adds that Jordan has offered him a deal. He wonders what Sonny thinks of him considering turning rat.
Sonny tells him to use whatever tools he has to help himself. Will his family gain more if his accomplice goes free or he does?
By the pool, Liesl and Britt are shocked when Cody punches Scott in the face.
He tells the lawyer he had it coming for a long time. Liesl wipes her “schnitzel’s” bloody nose.
When Cody wants to go a round with Baldwin, Obrecht punches him in the stomach and orders him to back off. This is all perplexing to Scott.
“In another life, I could have called you ‘dad,’” Cody says. Everyone is confused. Scott offers to take a DNA test.
Cody clarifies he’s not Scott’s son. His mother was Dominique Stanton and she gave Scott a daughter. Scott dismisses this and tells him he has a lot of nerve.
Cody explains he was raised by the Bell family when his mother couldn’t or wouldn’t. The Bells were the family who looked after the grounds of Dominique’s estate.
Scott assumes he’s looking for Dominique’s money. Cody knows that Serena has already spent it all on environmental causes. He just wants his fair share.
Scott won’t help. Dante arrives after being tipped off that there was a fight. Britt says it wasn’t a fight.
Dante has to arrest his friend and leads him out. Britt squints at Scott.
