Fri Oct 20 GH recap: Kevin reminds Spencer he has no parental rights, Diane tells Robert he has to start at square one, and Cody complains to Dante about messing up with Sasha.
Thursday’s GH recap: Valentin and Laura realized Victor has weaponized Charlotte, and Trina asked Spencer about their future.
Charlotte runs into Laura’s arms when she arrives at home.
They chat about Nikolas and then the mayor asks to hear all about her life.
Valentin leaves them alone to catch up. Laura asks her if she’s worried about her father.
Charlotte thinks her pap is worried about her.
Her grandma asks why and tells her she wanted them to have some time alone before she has to get back to work.
Hugging her, Charlotte tells her she doesn’t feel so alone now that she’s back.
They sit and Laura tells her about how alone she was as a kid.
She assures Charlotte that she has her and her dad.
Charlotte claims she has no friends at school. Her old friends are keeping their distance.
Laura asks about Jake and she says he’s nice but he’s a boy.
She doesn’t have someone to hang out with and her papa is always busy.
The mayor asks her about Anna.
Charlotte changes the subject to the house and flashes back to eavesdropping on Valentin telling Anna he bought it for them.
Charlotte says she’s always wanted a home she could share with her father alone. Her grandma tells her how hard it is to be a teenage girl.
It was a very hard and confusing time for her.
She asks her granddaughter to keep a secret. When she was her age, she made some really big mistakes and Lesley saved her from them.
She just wants to be there for Charlotte the way Lesley was for her.
If there’s something she needs to share, she wants her to know she’s there to listen.
Charlotte just tells her she missed her and they hug again.
At the Metro Court, Anna makes small talk with her bodyguard and asks if he’s seen anything suspicious. He hasn’t.
Valentin arrives, concerned that Anna hasn’t returned to her room.
She admits she feels like a sitting duck in her room.
He reminds her she doesn’t have to stay there alone. She claims she’s fine.
He points out she has plenty of friends who wouldn’t mind spending time with her.
Anna doesn’t think holing up with her friends is the solution.
She needs to go after whoever is after her and deal with the fallout for what she did.
He says that she’s the victim of a twisted sense of vengeance. She wonders why he thinks that.
Valentin says he thinks Victor’s death triggered all this.
She’s being targeted on his behalf.
At General Hospital, Spencer asks Esme why she didn’t tell him Ace had a doctor’s appointment today.
She assumed he would be with Trina and didn’t want to interrupt.
He wants to be at all of his brother’s appointments.
She reminds him that she’s Ace’s mother and can handle it.
When she’s called in to see the pediatrician, she insists on going alone.
Spencer asks Kevin what that was about and the doctor reminds him she was just exerting her parental rights…which he doesn’t share.
Spencer starts venting about Nikolas and Kevin urges him to give him the benefit of the doubt.
Spencer remains determined to step up to take care of his brother.
Kevin says that’s commendable but he needs to understand he has no rights.
Spencer understands all that and isn’t expecting his understanding with Esme to change.
The doctor reminds him that Ace is the only thing he shares with Esme and as their lives diverge, his role may be reduced.
Spencer refuses to accept that. When Esme and Ace return, Spencer says they should go to Kelly’s to celebrate his positive check-up.
Liz drops by Drew’s room to check on him.
As she checks him over, they chat about her kids.
She goes through them one by one.
She tells him about Jake dating Charlotte and how her confidence seems to be rubbing off on him and boosting his self-esteem. Liz tells him how much he means to the whole family.
The guard comes in and announces it’s time to go back to Pentonville.
The nurse wonders if it can be delayed but he says that will only make it more torturous.
He asks her not to notify Carly. It will be better if she doesn’t have to watch him getting carted out.
Moments later, he’s taken away.

Robert runs into Diane at the yoga studio and starts teasing her.
She teases him for taking a three hour lunch break to pump iron when he’s a public servant.
She notes they always seem to spar. He suggests they change that.
“Then what would we do for fun?” she asks.
Diane doesn’t like being treated as a default friend.
Scorpio would like them to be more than friends and suggests they pick up where they left off.
“Absolutely not,” she says.
That would just remind her of how she was treated when Holly was around.
She’s been back and forth about him.
Whenever she thinks he’s great, he blindsides her with something.
Diane tells him they can’t pick up where they left off, they have to wipe the slate clean. She’s putting back to square one.
He says he’s an excellent chess player so he accepts the challenge. She warns this is only a game between them. If anyone else gets involved, she walks and takes her chessboard with her.
In Alexis’ office, she and Gregory confront Judge Kim about his relationship with a billionaire.
She has evidence he flew to an island with him and it’s a major conflict of interest.
The judge didn’t agree to answer these questions.
This ambush is no surprise given Alexis’ history of bad legal practices that resulted in her being disbarred.
Gregory points out he’s not denying anything.
They threaten to publish all of their allegations unless he reverses the sentence he gave Drew.
The judge points out this is blackmail and she belongs in a jail cell.
After he exits, Gregory commends her but she thinks she failed.
She rants about the “scum” and how she has achieved nothing.
She takes apart how she messed the whole thing up by grandstanding.
That’s because she’s a lawyer and now she’s lost this for Drew.
Gregory tries to spin this positively until she gets a call.
She says that a contact informed her that Judge Kim has pulled Drew’s file and may be reconsidering it.
Cody joins Dante at the coffee shop and the cop complains about being on administrative leave.
Cody complains about how complicated things are.
Doing the right thing seems to lead to the wrong outcome.
He mopes about Sasha leaving town.
The cop asks why he didn’t tell her he wanted her to stay.
His friend says he made it about himself by confessing that Mac is his dad.
They talk about Dante’s situation. The cop waves it off as procedure.
Cody thanks him for all he’s done for him and Sasha.
The cop is sorry that all this Sasha stuff has happened to him.
His friend can understand why Sasha left.
Dante asks if he’s going to tell Mac the truth.
Cody couldn’t look in his face if he found out he lied. His friend reminds him this isn’t a minor thing and it complicates everyone’s lives.
