In the Monday, June 1, 2020, full episode recap of Days of our Lives, Lucas and Jake agree that Jake shouldn’t tell Kate that he’s with Gabi now, Sami and Nicole argue about cheating on their men, and Nicole learns that Ava and Rafe have had sex. In case you missed out, in Friday’s episode, Dr. Snyder told Kate there was nothing wrong with her eyesight.
At Nicole’s place, Nicole and Sami argue about whether Nic cheated on Eric with Xander as Nicole flashes to doing him. “Xander saw me struggling, so he helped me out.” Sami laughs. Nicole reminds Sami she’s not one to talk. “You cheated on your husband.” Sami says that was a long time ago that she cheated on Rafe with EJ. And besides, she thought her son was dead. Nicole gives Sami the boot.
Jack isn’t sure Xander staying at Alice’s is a good idea. Xander says it’s temporary. He’s about to get a job at Basic Black. Jack’s surprised they’d hire him. “Let’s just say I’m charming.” Jack shrugs and agrees to let him stay. “Over my dead body,” Julie tells the men. She asks Jack, “Are you determined to turn my home into a refuge for wayward strays?” Xander says, “Hey!” She calls him a “two-bit hustler. I’m putting my foot down. Sorry. Not sorry, as the kids say.” Xander understands. He displayed a lack of decorum last time he was there, not to mention how he behaved at her restaurant. Xander agrees but reminds her that he was hurting from being dumped by Sarah. Julie accuses him of stealing expensive whiskey. She saw it on the security tape. Xander doesn’t recall. He apologizes and offers to give full restitution. “Great. That’ll be two hundred dollars.” Xander admits he’s down on his luck at the moment. He convinces Jack to pay. He’ll pay Jack back. Julie demands to know why he’s enabling Xander. Xander calls Jack his friend. Julie puts the money in her bra and Xander thinks that this could be the beginning of a beautiful friendship. He wants to hug her but she makes no move toward him.

Ava and Rafe make love in her bed at his house. Afterward, they grin and Rafe asks if she’s alright. She’s great. He is as well. She hopes so, “Because you just slept with an ex-mobster.” They banter and Ava admits Gabi came to visit and isn’t on board with them being together. Rafe will talk to her. Ava resists. They make out and she wants to go get something to eat. They head to the kitchen and Rafe makes eggs. Rafe goes to get the newspaper and finds Nicole on his doorstep. It’s awkward. He lets her in and goes to get ready for work. Nicole apologizes. Ava thinks it’s good she didn’t show up a half-hour ago. Nicole realizes they had sex. She doesn’t want to dish on that and almost leaves, but Ava urges her to stay. Nicole admits Sami suspects she cheated on Eric. “Because I did.” Ava asks if it was Xander. Nicole’s surprised she’d ask. Ava says Rafe saw her in Xander’s room, which clued Ava in. Nic asks her to promise not to tell Rafe just as he comes in. They cover, Nicole goes and Rafe doesn’t seem happy to learn that Ava confessed that they had sex.

At the hospital, Gabi’s upset, thinking that Jake doesn’t want to tell Kate that they’re a couple. Jake wants to wait. Lucas appears and tells Jake not to dump his mom right now while she’s vulnerable. Gabi disagrees with Lucas’ idea. In Kate’s room, Dr. Snyder suggests Kate has Hysterical Blindness. Kate tells Snyder she was bound, gagged and thrown into a dungeon. Not to mention she jumped from a moving car and then later found her lover in bed “with that bitch Gabi.” The more she talks, the more Snyder thinks she’s faking blindness. She looks right at him. She wishes she was blind when she found Gabi in bed with Jake. Snyder asks why she’s perpetrating the charade. Kate explains that she woke up with him and Gabi talking about how he’d break it to her that they were together. Kate tells the doctor he’ll keep this to himself or he’ll lose his job. She admits she’s on the board at the hospital and can make it happen. She knows he disrespects doctor/patient confidentiality. There have been accusations against him but none of them stuck. “That’s not because you’re not guilty.” Kate will ensure he’s fired if he tells anyone she’s not blind. “Oh, I see. Straight up extortion.” Jake walks in. Snyder lies that there’s damage to the optic nerve but he has no definitive diagnosis. The same goes for her memory loss. He’s hopeful that there will be a positive outcome. Snyder says what Kate needs most is the love and support from those who mean most to her. He goes and Kate works up some tears. She doesn’t feel tough, though Jake calls her the toughest person he knows. He hugs her.
Back outside, Gabi argues with Lucas about Jake lying to Kate. He tells Gabi he’ll deal with emotional fallout once she gets better. Gabi reminds him he lives in a house he owns. “What are you threatening me?” Gabi says, “If you’re going to be an enemy of my relationship with Jake, you don’t get to live in my house.” She kicks him out and then goes to Kate’s room where she sees Jake holding Kate.
Sami arrives at her mom’s and EJ calls. She asks why he canceled the transfer of the money into Xander’s account. He doesn’t give a definitive answer. Lucas arrives and Sami says her mother walked in and they need to discuss something important. She disconnects and Lucas does an impression of Marlena. They discuss Kate. Sami’s sad to hear about her going blind. She understands why Gabi wouldn’t want her boyfriend to stick with his ex. Lucas admits she was so upset that she kicked him out. Lucas asks to stay there but Sami says no. Talk turns to Nicole and Sami vows to prove she cheated on Eric.
