Friday, Jan 5, 2024: Today on Bold and the Beautiful, Finn tells Hope she deserves better, Ridge tells Brooke they should leave the kids alone, and Steffy is concerned that Finn has been talking to Hope.
Thursday’s Early B&B recap: Bill and Poppy fondly recalled their past and kissed while Finn told Hope about Xander’s accusation.
In the design office at Forrester, Thomas is startled when his sister tells him about Xander’s accusations.
He says they are untrue.
Steffy told her husband to forget what Xander said and never mention it again.
It means the world to Thomas that she always has his back.
She says he’s done an incredible job remaking himself.
They’ve all made mistakes in the past but he’s a good man and what happened to Emma was not his fault.
They speculate on why Xander actually came back and if he went to Finn because he was looking for a way to pin Emma’s death on him.
She’s tried explaining all of this to her husband and thinks Xander could be out for payback.
She’s still sure her brother is innocent.
Thomas assumes that Finn doesn’t have the same positive attitude to him that she does.
He knows that she’s worried that his relationship with Hope could send him into a tailspin, but Finn thinks that he could actually hurt Hope.
Thomas won’t let anyone come between them.
Brooke, Ridge, and Carter arrive in the big office after visiting Eric.
Brooke thinks that he’s looking good.
Ridge doesn’t want them to get ahead of themselves.
They still don’t know what the procedure did and what kind of life he has sentenced his father to.
They assure him he did the right thing but he’s still not sure how his dad is after he crossed to the other side and maybe saw Stephanie or Phoebe.
Carter talks about how important Eric has been to his life, not just for the sake of his career, but for making him feel like family.
Ridge says he is family and Brooke says they were happy to claim him.
Ridge says they need to be on the same page about Eric, Hope, and Thomas.
That sets Brooke off and she and Ridge get back to arguing about their reservations.
He says their kids are grown-ups and if they want a relationship, they should let them have it.
Brooke can’t ignore her reservations.
Carter excuses himself from this conversation.
Brooke tells Ridge she’s concerned and this isn’t simple.
He points out that Thomas hasn’t hurt her daughter lately and Hope seems happy.
How good does Thomas have to be?
She admits he’s been on his best behavior lately.
Ridge suggests they give him a break. He’s good enough for her daughter.
Ridge tells her how much he counts on her love and support.
That’s not a chore for her because he’s her favorite subject.
She agrees to think about this and they kiss.

In Finn’s office, Hope is shocked that Xander is still making accusations against Thomas.
She can’t understand why he’s back and bringing all this up again.
The doctor suggests it could all be true and Thomas could be responsible for Emma’s death.
Pacing, she explains that she cared about Emma a lot and they all struggled with her loss… Xander especially.
He took his concerns to the police and they did a full investigation, exonerating Thomas.
The doctor knows that but he’s concerned that Xander is still convinced Thomas is guilty.
He cares about Hope so he’s worried about her.
Finn says she’s a remarkable woman, like his mom.
“Li, Li,” he clarifies, before commending Hope on all her charity work.
After he goes on about how inspiring she is, he says this “detour” to Thomas is just not her.
Thomas arrives at the door and eavesdrops as Hope tells Finn she’s not this paragon of virtue he’s made her out to be.
She’s a woman and he reminds her of that.
The doctor thinks she’s just rebelling against her image and Liam and Thomas is telling her all she wants to hear.
He thinks she deserves better than that and Thomas is dangerous.
“You need to walk away,” he says. She takes a breath.
Hope stops by the design office looking for Thomas.
Only Steffy is there and she tells her that Xander is back in town.
Hope knows. Finn already told her.
He seems to be worried about her relationship with her brother.
Running her hand through her hair, Steffy digests her husband’s concern with Hope.
She asks what exactly he said and apologizes for him bringing her into this.
They talk about how awful what happened to Emma was but it was an accident.
Hope is convinced of that too.
Steffy is glad that she’s sure Thomas is not a murderer.
Her brother is going to need someone to have his back if these accusations come out.
Her brother will need someone who truly loves him.
Hope nods and remembers Thomas proposing to her.
Back at Finn’s office, Thomas enters after Hope is gone.
He admits that he overheard their conversation.
The doctor doesn’t appreciate him lurking.
Thomas tells him that he’s a lucky person. Somehow, Hope forgave him and he will treat her like the jewel she is.
He and Finn are family and he wants them to get along. He assures him that Hope’s heart is safe with him.
The Forrester knows he hurt people in the past but he was a hurt person in the past.
He’s healed since then and doesn’t want trouble.
“Don’t make trouble between is. Don’t put yourself between me and Hope. Understand?” he asks.
This sounds like a threat to the doctor who refuses to believe he’s new and improved.
Thomas thinks they should just support each other.
Finn doesn’t think his brother-in-law’s mistakes are blunders.
He’s as unstable as ever and he needs to stay away from Hope.
Just because the case against him was closed, doesn’t mean he’s not guilty.
Thomas urges him not to mess with him and his family.
Finn says he may have them all fooled, but not him.
He sees right through that. He’s a bad person and Hope is too good for him.
“As long as I live and breathe, you will never be with Hope,” the doctor vows. Thomas’ eyes narrow.
