Fri Jan 5, 2024: Today on General Hospital, Sonny tells Lois he won’t forget what Nina did, Maxie tells Cody about Bobbie, and Drew and Sam argue about Scout.
Thursday’s GH recap: Carly was furious with Nina, Sonny slammed the door in her face after putting Cyrus in the hospital, and Laura told Esme to turn herself in.
Felicia visits the dedication wall at General Hospital, talking to Maxie over the phone.
Neither of them can believe that Bobbie is gone.
She gets off the lien as Anna joins her. They weep.
Anna knows that Bobbie was Felicia’s bestfriend and she wouldn’t want her to do this alone.
They go down to Bobbie’s office and look over all the pictures she’s collected over the years. They recall how loved she was and how she was the anchor for her family and the hospital.
Anna thinks the photos tell the story of a life well-lived.
They start packing things up and find her old ID tag and hat.
They laugh about how big their hair used to be.
Felicia realizes she will never laugh with her again and breaks into tears.
Anna muses that it is a lot to look back on someone’s life. There’s beauty to that.
Her friend remembers that Bobbie once said grief is more bearable if you can help someone living.
She gets a call saying the results are ready. Anna asks what that was about. “The living,” explains Felicia.
Dante finds Laura sleeping in Cyrus’ room. Her brother hasn’t regain consciousness yet so she asks him if the PCPD knows who attacked him.
They step out of the room and speculate. She admits that she may not like the way her family members behave, but she needs to give them the chance to do better.
She notices he’s waking up so they rush back in. Cyrus opens his eyes and says she’s an angel with the face of his sister.
She assures him he’s alive and runs off to get a doctor while the detective asks him what happened.
Cyrus says he’s been blessed to survive again. The cop asks him to help him lock up who brutally assaulted him.
Renault lets out a little laugh.
Dante steps out to let a doctor check him over and informs Laura that her brother is staying silent and uncooperative.
He also refused to blame his attacker. They have no name or evidence and this won’t go anywhere.
The cop suggests he might say more to his sister.
Laura goes in to see her brother and prompts him to tell her what happened. He warns she may be sorry she asked.
“I was beaten by your friend Sonny Corinthos,” he says. She’s shocked and doesn’t believe he’s that easily provoked.
Cyrus reminds her of his temper and that he does more than break things. He’s a deeply unhappy man and took his feelings of betrayal out on him.
He tells her that he was in the wrong place after Sonny was betrayed by his spouse.
She goes out to the waiting room and tells him about the conversation she just had and that Sonny assaulted her brother.
Laura returns to her brother and tells him she filled the cop in. She asks what he’s holding back.
He’s sure she will always stand up for Sonny and he’s no better than the man he used to be.
Laura tells her brother that he needs to prove himself to her through his actions if he wants to be part of her family.
Lois stops by Sonny’s penthouse. He wants to be alone. She’s amazed that there is no sign of him going on a rampage after his wife’s betrayal.
He says people change. She notices there’s luggage. He explains it’s Nina’s.
She apologizes for blowing up his life but thought he deserved the truth. He wishes everyone else in his family felt the same.
Sonny says that Nina can stay in the hotel…for now. She notices that his hand is beaten up.
Lois also notices that he’s still wearing his wedding ring. That’s not normal for him after a break-up.
He says he gave up a lot to be with Nina. He thought he fell for someone who could own her mistakes but now he’s learned she’s a traitor.
“I will not forget that,” he says.
Lois asks what else she could be capable of and if he can ever trust her again. She knows this is none of her business and she won’t judge what he chooses to do.
She sends him to get some alcohol so she can clean up his knuckles.
Dante arrives. Lois is sure his dad will be relieved to see him.
“Not today he won’t,” he says. She tells him it will have to wait. The cop needs to do his job.
He tells his father he’s sorry about Nina and then calls in a cop to help arrest him.
Lois is appalled but Sonny points out this isn’t the first time. Sonny is arrested for assaulting Cyrus.

Cody bursts into Maxie’s office where she is staring at a photo of Bobbie on her phone. He senses something is wrong.
She tells him Bobbie is dead and how close she always was to her family. She recounts how BJ died and she got her heart.
Maxie could always go to Bobbie for everything, especially during all those years when her mom wasn’t around. Bobbie lived to help people but never minced her words.
She can’t imagine Port Charles without Bobbie.
They talk about his modeling fees. She’s surprised to hear he wants to invest in real estate. He’s buying the estate he grew up on.
It was terrible there but he wants to bring it full circle.
She thinks fulfilling his dream of revenge sounds hollow and suggests he find a sense of purpose. He’s not sure he has one.
“Nonsense! We all do!” Felicia declares as she pops up.
Cody asks her if she can help him find a purpose. She tells him to be honest about himself and then be honest with others.
She brings up the DNA test and explains she ran a new one behind his back.
Drew stops by Sam’s penthouse. She asks after Carly and tells him she always admired Bobbie.
He suggests she give Carly a call to catch up on some things.
Sam wishes he’d called before coming and informs him that Scout won’t be going to the academy. She explains their daughter has been having nightmares about it.
He guesses she’s unilaterally decided not to send their daughter to the school. She knows she should have spoken to him before that, but he should have come to her before pitching the idea to their daughter to begin with.
He accuses her of doing this out of revenge and she says that’s not it. Drew admits he blindsided her. She says they can both do better.
She thought Scout would have come around to the idea but she didn’t.
It sounds to him like she thinks she gets the final word about what’s best for their daughter.
Sam just wants them to be on the same page about things. He calms down, unsure of why he picked a fight.
This all seems out of character for him. Drew just worries that his daughter didn’t confide in him about his feelings.
Sam didn’t want to bring this up to him because she knows how much he hated missing out on their daughter’s life.
“Now I’ve lost even more time because of Nina,” he growls.
After he fills her in, Sam says she’s always had Nina’s number. He apologizes for making decisions without consulting her.
She still thinks the school could be great but they need to give their daughter some time to adjust to it.
He can see her point. She says this has been their first major point of disagreement. Where do they go from there?
They can revisit the school issue next year. He hates that Scout was so worried and will remind her he’s her biggest fan.
Sam knows he’s had a tough year and if he ever needs to talk, she will be there.
At Sasha’s, Nina leaves a rambling message for Willow, begging for the chance to explain.
Getting off the line, she feels pathetic and tells Sasha there’s no reason for her daughter to call her back.
She thanks Sasha for putting her up last night and worries she’s putting her in an awkward position.
Once again, she’s managed to make herself public enemy number one. Sasha tells her not to care what people think.
She notes it is unlike Nina to do anything that would hurt Scout. Nina feels like she can’t be forgiven but Sasha reminds her of how forgiving she is.
She urges Nina to let it be and she might get what she wants. Nina says that what she wants and what she deserves are two different things.
Holding a pillow, Nina goes on about how no one believes she can be a mother and wife. She’s sure that even Kristina will now raise hellfire on her over what happened.
The kids may have loved her but Michael and Carly will make sure that comes to an end. Sasha urges her not to count out Willow.
Sasha points out she’s owned what she did and urges her to find out how to fix this.
She is sure that Willow has a great capacity for forgiving. Nina hopes so since her husband never will.
