In the Wednesday, May 31, 2023, full episode recap of CBS’ Bold and the Beautiful, Brooke and Taylor fight, Eric wants Ridge to reunite with Brooke already, and Taylor goes to Deacon.
We also have Monday’s B&B recap where Ridge almost kissed Taylor who asked if Brooke had broken their pact, while Hope complained about Steffy to her mother and Brooke took it upon herself to confront Taylor about what her kid said.
In Taylor’s office, Brooke asks the psychiatrist as her friend to go to Steffy to ask her not to do anything that’ll come between Hope and Liam.
Taylor hopes what Steffy did would prompt a conversation between Hope and Liam. She says, “If Hope’s having feelings for Thomas —”
Brooke interrupts and defends her kid and lies that it’s untrue.
Taylor doesn’t like that Brooke didn’t listen to her when she was saying the same things as Thomas. Brooke insists, “It’s not like I could forget about his past.”
Taylor says, “Then I guess I can’t forget that Hope has Logan blood in her.”
Brooke’s jaw drops to the floor. She elects to leave before she says something she’ll regret. She goes, leaving Taylor to yell, “It’s too late for that!” She takes off after her.
Hope walks into a busy Il Giardino and since Deacon has no tables, he seats her at the bar, telling her it’s the best seat in the house.
“Put up with your old man,” he says.
He notices she’s down and quickly deduces that it has to do with Thomas.
She tells him it’s not what he thinks and urges him not to worry.
She has the situation under control.
Her dad urges her to talk to him and she says she didn’t come for delicious food or a pep talk.
She admits her big preview is happening in Rome. He’s excited that she’s going to kill it. He’s so proud of her.
He can’t believe she came from him and wishes he’d been around her during her upbringing.
“You’re here now,” he says. He’s not going anywhere and swears he isn’t screwing up anymore. They share a hug.

In the CEO office, Eric, Ridge and Carter talk ad nauseum of how it’s great that Thomas and Hope are working together and that Thomas isn’t the problem.
Charlie appears and tells Ridge he has his Italian phrase book almost memorized.
Ridge gets rid of him and Eric says he isn’t throwing Ridge out but says he’s surprised that his situation hasn’t been resolved by now.
That he doesn’t need to move out.
Ridge says Brooke made her decision but Eric feels they belong together.
Brooke interrupts to clarify details for the preview so Eric gives them the room, telling them he’s sure they’re capable of working things out on their own.
Brooke thinks that’s an odd thing to say.
Ridge reminds her of how he feels about them. She smiles and understands. He thinks they should work things out and understands why his dad wants this.
He tells her she’s so beautiful, kind, caring, and fun at a party, “Even more fun after the party.” Brooke laughs and seems embarrassed.
He misses her. She tells him she misses him, too.
Taylor arrives at Il Giardino. Deacon asks if she forgot something.
She has. “I forgot that Brooke Logan is Brooke Logan.” She knows he’s loved Brooke for a long time. They have a kid together and his feelings have not changed. He says she doesn’t feel the same. Taylor encourages him to give it a chance. How great would it be if Hope had her family together?
Deacon scoffs. What is going on with her? She doesn’t trust Brooke or their pact or anything right now. “We had some words.”
Deacon thinks he should take cover if the gloves are coming off. Taylor insists she’s not trying to manipulate Brooke or stab her in the back.
She just believes Deacon’s a catch. He’s handsome and successful and charming. He tells her to stop inflating his ego.
She thinks he might be the key to ending “this toxic, destructive cycle that’s been going on for so long. You need to call Brooke,” she says. Now.
