Monday, July 17, recap of B&B: Wyatt reels after Liam says he kissed Steffy, Hope details why she doesn’t like what Brooke has done with her life, and Ridge is glad Steffy and Liam can still be friends.
Friday’s B&B recap: As Brooke orders Hope and Thomas to end their affair, Taylor and Ridge lock eyes as they talk kissing
At Thomas’ place, Brooke insists to Hope that she and Thomas cannot happen.
She wonders if Hope has forgotten everything he has done to her and her family as Hope claims to have never felt a connection like this with anyone else.
Brooke won’t have it and declares she won’t allow her to destroy her life like this.
Per her mother, this affair ends tonight.
Brooke pleads with Hope to go to Liam and beg for forgiveness that he will surely give her.
Hope informs her that Liam won’t forgive her and that he wants a divorce.
Brooke defends Liam and suggests Hope try putting herself in his shoes for a moment.
Hope says Liam means it and that she can see it in his eyes.
Thomas walks over and interjects himself into the conversation with Brooke saying that’s no reason to allow Thomas to take advantage of the situation.
He insists he did not set out to break up Hope’s marriage with Liam. Brooke finds that hard to believe after walking in and finding the two of them in bed as she did.
Send her home where’s she happy and can fix her marriage, is what Brooke tells Thomas he should do if he really wants what’s best for her daughter.
After Brooke rants more about how much Liam loves her, Hope reminds her mother that he loves someone else, too…Steffy.
Hope is over it all by the time Brooke claims she is not going to allow her daughter to make the same mistakes she did.
Thomas has a seat on the bed and allows the mother/daughter pair to go another round.
Hope agrees about her statement and claims she doesn’t want to make the same mistakes. Hope says she doesn’t want to be married to a man who is in love with another woman.
Hope wholeheartedly disagrees with Brooke when her mother suggests that things have been over between Liam and Steffy for a long time.
No, they have not, Hope claims and says she would think her mother would understand how she feels in this scenario. Hope says their relationship still hangs over them and everywhere she looks, it’s there.
Brooke insists her relationship with Ridge is very different from hers with Liam. She reminds her that she should go save her marriage and save herself from the pain and heartache.
Hope says she is doing exactly that…saving herself from pain and heartache.
How could Liam walk out with the snap of a finger and not give her the same forgiveness she has given him time and time again, she wants Brooke to explain. It shouldn’t be that easy for a man to do that and wouldn’t be if only loved his wife.
Brookes tries to reassure her that Liam is committed to her. Hope apologizes when she quips back about it being the same way Ridge is committed to her.
She knows it was harsh but she does not want to live her life spending decades chasing after a man and wondering if he is loving someone else.
Hope wants to be with a man who wants her and only her, she says as she lovingly turns to Thomas, indicating he is the one for her.
Brooke just doesn’t want Hope to regret this, but she thinks she will.
She says she is going to wake up one day and wish none of this happened and that she could take it all back.
Brooke wants her daughter to fight, and Hope claims she is fighting for herself.
She wants to know if Brooke was happy all those times she had to help scrape her up off the floor when she was miserable in her love life.
Of course, Brooke wasn’t and hates those times ever happened.
Hope recognizes Thomas has flaws just as we all do. He also has strengths, though.
Hope claims there is nothing like the feeling of knowing she has a man who has only her rattling around in his mind. She says she wants to be with a man who is not in love with another woman.
She sits beside and untied with Thomas.
She hopes her mother can keep what she’s seen there tonight a secret for now until Hope can get all of her thoughts together.
At Spencer Publications, Wyatt agrees with Liam about his right to feel hurt like he does.
Wyatt wonders, though, if that hurt is enough reason for him to allow his marriage with Hope to end.
Liam just wants to know how Hope could possibly have feelings for Thomas.
He know what he saw between them in Rome with that kiss, and it was very real.
Liam is tired of Wyatt asking him to deny reality.
Wyatt is taken aback when he says of all people, Liam is forgiving and can find a way, and Liam replies that Steffy said the same thing.
Wyatt wonders how often Liam has been talking to Steffy lately.
Watt starts doing the math, 2+2=4, and wants to know exactly how Steffy factors into this whole situation and if she’s possibly the reason he’s not fighting for his marriage the way he should.

Wyatt recognizes Steffy and Liam are close, but thinks they are likely spending too much time together.
Liam claims they share a daughter and he tries to see her as often as possible.
Wyatt still claims that’s no reason for Steffy to know all the details about his marriage to Hope and this fiasco that’s taking place. He thinks old feelings might be trying to come to the surface between the two of them.
Liam tries not to but finally admits to Wyatt that he did something stupid and kissed Steffy.
Wyatt explodes to his brother that he can’t go down this road, after hearing they have kissed twice.
Liam promises that he will never disrespect or interfere in her life or marriage ever again.
At Cliff Side House, Ridge and Steffy visit in the living room. She informs her father that Finn had to go in to work for an Emergency Room situation with one of his patients.
That allows time for the father and daughter to spend alone time, catching up.
Steffy informs Ridge of the gratefulness both she and Finn share, regarding all they have together.
She insists that the situation with Hope and Liam helps put it into perspective.
Ridge feels for both of them, but he is concerned about Thomas possibly backsliding a bit after working so hard on his life.
He says he is going to keep an eye on Thomas and make sure he keeps his head down and stays focused. Ridge says Taylor is worried, too.
Ridge thinks it’s nice Steffy and Liam can still be friends with each other after everything.
The two are interrupted when Kelly comes out of her room after having a bad dream about her daddy not being able to get to her.
Steffy gets her calmed down and she returns to bed. She reminisces about her childhood with Ridge and how she’d sometimes have bad dreams, too.
Ridge wonders to Steffy. if it’s possible that Hope turned to Thomas because of the connection that she still has with Liam.
If Hope thinks Liam still loves Steffy, that could do great damage to their relationship, Ridge says.
Steffy remembers the kisses with Liam but quickly insists that Liam’s future is with Hope and they will fix this.
