Tuesday, August 22 recap of B&B: Steffy asks Liam if he will take Hope back, Brooke pushes Hope to save her marriage, and Ridge tries asking Thomas about Hope.
Monday’s B&B recap: After talking with Brooke and Liam, Hope decided she’s lost and may have to turn away from Thomas.
At Eric’s, Steffy asks Liam if Hope really heard his concerns.
He thinks he got through to her about who Thomas is, but the real issue is Hope and her choices.
Steffy is confused about what all this means. His marriage was about to end. Does he want Hope back again? Is he hearing himself? Will he forgive Hope and repair his marriage?
His mouth hangs open. She keeps repeating the question and he explains that he cares about Hope’s well-being and safety so she can find her way back to herself and away from Thomas.
In the cabin, Brooke tells Hope that she agrees with what Liam has said about her losing her way.
She urges her to save her marriage.
Her daughter insists that while people may think that Thomas has been leading her astray, this is not the case.
Thomas loves her and only her.
She doesn’t want to live a life like her mother has with Ridge and his divided loyalties.
Brooke can respect that but wonders if there is something else at play.
Criticizing Liam seems like a justification for being unfaithful.
She’s sure that she’s feeling guilty and still loves her sweet little family.
Thrilled when she hears the divorce papers haven’t been filed, Brooke prods her daughter to open up.
Weeping, Hope says she has feelings for Thomas and he loves her with his whole heart…but maybe she’s making excuses too.
Liam reminded her of all they went through with Beth and Thomas’ involvement in that.
She does believe that he has changed but she’s changed too and hardly recognizes herself anymore.
She’s been looking for distractions and she got caught up in Thomas.
Her mom reminds her that only she and Ridge know “the full extent” of her involvement with Thomas.
She hates to see her suffer but can see she’s becoming herself again.
“I guess we’ll have to see if it’s too late,” says Hope, picking up a rag doll.
Her mom says the Logans never give up.
She says that things with Thomas are over so she can get back to focusing on her family.
Giggling, she pinches Hope’s cheek and tells her it’s never too late.
Hope declares she’s right and runs out.

Daily B&B spoilers into August
At Forrester Creations, when Thomas tried to deflect, Ridge reminds his son that he knows what Brooke walked in on and he wants him to be honest with him.
Thomas insists the whole thing is complicated.
RJ bumbles in, startled to hear they are talking about Hope.
He worries about his sister and her family, especially after just seeing her so happy with Beth and Liam.
He really thinks they should get back together.
Thomas respects where they are both coming from and it’s nice to have family looking out for him.
He assures them he only wants Hope’s happiness and he won’t be the one who hurts her.
After he takes off, RJ gives his dad a cupcake and tells him they need to work out tomorrow.
He still can’t understand Hope kissing Thomas and thinks her marriage is worth fighting for.
Brooke arrives to second that sentiment. After teasing Ridge about his cupcake, she says it may not be the end for Hope and Liam.
Thomas goes to his place and lights some scented candles before Hope arrives.
Dogs bark as he lets her in and says he wishes he could have been at the party but Liam was there.
He missed her and gives her a kiss, realizing something is wrong.
She flashes back to Beth’s party and turns away. Thomas asks what’s wrong and she recalls Liam reminding her of all the things he did to her.
Crossing the room, she flails around, saying she doesn’t know what they are doing.
She admits the birthday only reminded her of all the hurtful things they’ve been through.
He says that he’s way past that and promises that he truly loves her and wants a life with her.
Sobbing, she tells him it was hard to be with her little family and have Liam remind her of all the pain they’d had and his role in it.
“That was a different me,” he says. He wishes he could re-write the past but can’t.
She’s told him he’s a different person over and over. Did Liam get in her head or something?
She says all he said was true.
“I guess there’s only one thing I can do,” he says.
