Thursday, Jan 4, 2024: Today on Bold and the Beautiful, Steffy tells Finn to drop it, Luna wonders if Bill will be “the one” for her mom, and Steffy warns Thomas that Xander is back.
wednesday’s Early B&B recap: On his date with Poppy, Bill reminded her of the night they spent together, and Steffy worried her brother could be triggered.
Pacing in Finn’s office, Steffy wonders if Xander came back to stir up trouble for her brother.
Steffy orders him to support her brother and reminds him Xander was part of the baby Beth lie. What happened to Emma was awful, but she believes
what her brother and the police said about it.
Thomas did not do what Xander claims and he needs to understand that.
They go back to worrying about Thomas and Hope and the doctor is concerned about Hope’s safety.
They go over all the pain in the baby Beth story and then Xander’s accusations. Steffy repeats it was a tragic accident and can’t believe they are talking about this again.
She insists her brother is not to blame. Throwing her arms around him, she says, “Please baby, just drop it.”
In the design office, Thomas joking asks if Hope wants to reconsider and then assures her he just wants to be with her and can wait.
He’s just happy she’s wearing his engagement ring by her heart and will keep reminding her of how happy he can make her.
Thomas knows she’s not ready yet and won’t push. She looks at the ring and thinks.
He repeats that he will wait and she is the only woman for him. They kiss and then she ponders.
After Hope leaves, Steffy shows up and he shows her the latest designs.
His sister abruptly brings up Xander. Thomas squints.
She fills him in about Xander being back in town and running into Finn. He doesn’t see the big deal.
His sister tells him Xander still thinks that he’s responsible for Emma’s death and told Finn that.
Hope drops by Finn’s office after he sends her a text. She assumes this is about Thomas.
The doctor is more worried about him than ever. She thinks his concern is misplaced, as she keeps telling everyone.
He keeps worrying and she keeps saying Thomas has changed.
Finn says he learned something shocking from a patient: Xander. She’s startled to hear that name.
Although he wishes he didn’t have to bring up something this painful, he tells her that Xander accused Thomas of murder.

In the big office, Luna is distracted as she thinks about her mom’s date with Bill.
She knows that RJ doesn’t think much of Spencer, but she wonders if he could be “the one” for her mom.
“The one?” RJ asks if disbelief. She thinks stranger things have happened.
“Yeah, especially when Bill Spencer is involved,” he says, noting Bill’s “history with the ladies.”
Luna wonders if she should be worried but RJ assumes she can look out for herself.
She thinks Bill seems successful and larger than life. She doesn’t know her mom’s type but maybe that’s him.
They discuss her growing up without a father. That’s all she’s ever known. When she was young, she thought about who he was.
Poppy has never said anything about him.
Luna goes back to wondering if her mom could have a future with Bill. RJ reminds her it’s their first date.
She’s a romantic and wants her mom to have a happy ending.
At Il Giardino, Poppy admits to Bill that she remembers him from the night they spent together at the Gold Gate Music Festival.
It was a night she will never forget.
He has a million questions. She takes an “all natural” stimulant to take the edge off, admitting she’s nervous.
She points out he never called her after that night.
Bill meant to but he got swamped by work and had no room for anything else.
Poppy doesn’t think that’s lame.
They both had lives to lead.
He’s more sorry than she knows.
As they eat, he recaps what happened with Sheila, surprised her sister never bothered to tell her.
She gets bashful as he goes on about her “free-spirited beauty” and wishes he’d picked up the phone back then.
Who knows how different their lives could have been?
They talk about Luna and how well she’s been doing at Forrester.
Poppy is thrilled that she’s happy after her difficult childhood.
Bill is sorry to hear she didn’t have a father growing up. “Guy has got to be a total jerk,” he says.
She says he wasn’t. He never even knew she was pregnant.
He asks if she knows who the father is and she tells him he’s getting personal.
Bill apologizes for prying and adds that any man would be proud to call Luna his daughter. She smiles.
He remembers how beautiful it was when she danced.
She says her life was more carefree before she became a mother.
Staring in her eyes, Bill says he would really like to see her again.
They kiss over the table.
