Tuesday, August 7, Y&R day ahead recap: Jack agrees to attempt peace with Ashley, Summer has an epiphany about her mother being unable to change her ways, and Victoria talks about her feelings for Nate with Nikki.
Monday’s Y&R day ahead: Tucker blows up at Audra, Heather tells Christine she’s getting the judge to kick her off the case & Summer demands the truth from Phyllis.

In her room at GCAC, Phyllis vows to Summer, no more lies. Phyllis denies that her plan is risky but that her freedom hinges on Tucker McCall.
He found Carson and she needs him to help her gain her freedom. Summer asks if Tucker’s paying Carson to stick around.
Phyllis says in turn, Tucker wants her to help get Diane out of Ashley’s hair. Summer says this is a bad idea. Phyllis claims Carson saw everything through the hotel window.
And Adam’s helping her get him back from Tucker.
Summer’s head spins just like all of the twists and turns in the story. What is she thinking? How can she trust anything Phyllis says since she returned from the dead?
It seems like after everything that has happened, “You haven’t changed.”
This kills Phyllis who says she’s doing everything she can to make amends.
Summer reminds her mom that she thought she lost her and refuses to pity her since she’s the one who set that in motion.
Phyllis feels attacked. Summer isn’t attacking. She cries. This is what honesty looks like.
Phyllis tears up and vows to find a way out of this. Summer says it’s not by colluding with Tucker or Adam.
“You like the chaos and destruction,” she says. She doesn’t think her mom knows how to exist without it.
She has no ethics or shame and Summer finally sees it. She’ll never change. Summer walks out on her and Phyllis calls someone to meet. “Everything is about to change,” she says.
In the lounge, Tucker tells Daniel that he has no issue with Phyllis.
No games or secret plans. They share a distrust for Diane and he thinks Daniel’s mom is getting rid of her bitterness.
He’s impressed with her strength. “Why aren’t you?” Daniel asks if he’s trying to make a plan to make her life worse.
Is that why he was in her suite? Tucker shrugs, thinking there’s nothing he can say to appease him. Daniel calls him out for talking in circles and tells him to stay away from his mama.
In his office at Jabot, Jack’s on a call with Zelda. He’s excited about this new deal with her and Traci. He disconnects when Abby visits.
She’s glad to hear he’s helping Aunt Traci with her writing projects but she’s heartbroken about his fighting with her mom. How can she help?
He groans and she tells him she wants this done before next week when they marry at the Chancellor house. Jacks’s surprised they’re going through with “this farce” and that she and Devon are hosting.
She reminds him they’re family and she thinks Tucker has changed. Jack doesn’t believe that for a moment.
He’s afraid for his sister. They disagree. He complains that this relationship is going too fast. His sister is being manipulated. Abby thinks it’s her mother that’s the problem.
She’s leading the attack — her hatred for Diane is behind it. Tucker’s along for the ride. He loves her and would do anything for her. Jack can only imagine what her grandfather would feel about this.
Abby thinks he’d want them to make amends. If he’s thinking of bringing Diane to the wedding, he probably shouldn’t come.
There’ll be some verbal attack which will turn into a war. Jack feels placed between a rock and a hard place. She’s just trying to be Switzerland. Jack says there won’t be peace unless Ashley wants it.
She begs him to get in a room just with Ashley and talk it out. Jack worries it won’t work but is eventually convinced. She texts her mom to meet.
Nate visits Audra in her room at GCAC. She asks him to keep her confidence before she reveals anything. She beats around the bush until he’s annoyed.
He asks if Adam dug up something that compromises her executive role. She fills him in on the story about the statutory rape.
Nate’s disgusted. She admits Adam found some emails covering it up and forcing him to convince Vicor to merge McCall with Newman Media.
If she doesn’t, he’ll go to the press and her career will be over. Nate says they’ll come up with something but she may be unemployed for a bit. That bothers her.
She considers she can convince Victor to merge but Nate says he’s not interested. She panics and asks him to convince Victoria. Nate thinks she needs a plan B. She’s working on it.
In her office, Victoria listens to Nikki tell her that she met with Nate and asks him his intentions about her.
Victoria rolls her eyes and glares at her mother but Nikki says she has known him for a while and this would have happened sooner or later.
She reveals she’s impressed with his drive and accomplishments and his directness.
He admitted he wanted her job. Victoria grins widely.
She doesn’t believe Nate’s anything but an asset to the company.
Nikki admits he said he didn’t love her and she hopes her daughter is not falling for him.
Victoria’s content with her relationship status.
She’s not falling in love. She’s too busy and has a bad track record.
Nikki thinks life is too short to give up on love in general.
Victoria takes a look back at her relationships and says she’s been betrayed and has betrayed people she’s loved.
Love isn’t an issue because she won’t let it be. She talks about the kids being in a wonderful place and she loves working with Nikki — and Nate.
She asks her to back off about Nate though. Nikki’s defensive and when Nate appears in the door, miffed, Nikki walks, out. Victoria asks if he spoke with Audra.
Summer meets Daniel in Neil’s lounge. She tells him all about her talk with Phyllis and that their mother is obsessed. Daniel thinks she should serve time in prison.
Summer feels horrible in saying it but, “I think you’re right.”
Audra finds Tucker at the bar and asks if he can toast a deal well done. He’s sorry for earlier. This isn’t her fault, it’s his. He took his frustrations out on her. She narrows her eyes and says nothing.
He asks if thingsare over and she says far from it.
Phyllis meets Christine and Heather at Crimson Lights. She’s ready to make a deal.
She’s taking Christine’s deal to plead guilty to avoid a trial and protect her daughter.
