Friday, June 30, 2023, Y&R day ahead episode recap: Nikki gives Adam her condolences, and then confronts Victoria, while Victor tells Adam he’s worried about him, and Sharon feels empowered to change her life.
Friday’s Y&R day ahead recap: Sharon and Nick were disturbed that Cameron left her his company and Audra taunted Summer

Victoria and Nate discuss the upcoming meetings this afternoon that she wants him in on.
The board is giving her pushback. She says being with him is like talking to herself but it’s much more fun.
They chuckle and she gives him two high-profile meetings to step in on since Nick’s out.
Nate agrees she’s making a hell of a statement with this move.
Nate talks about finding insider information about Babcock that he’ll use in the meeting. This makes her hot. He finds the power intoxicating, almost as intoxicating as the way she’s looking at him. They make out.
Audra and Kyle get coffee and talk about sexual innuendos and how he likes to “mix it up.”
They discuss Nate filling in for Nick at Newman. Kyle wonders how Nick feels about that.
Audra appreciates Victoria looking out for Nick and giving him time to regroup. “Yeah, by replacing him,” Kyle says with a sneer.
He’s familiar with how the Newmans take care of their own and it doesn’t always have to do with love.
Audra thinks that kind of fire can be productive or burn you. She admits she’s been burned a few times and used to let it get to her.
She’d obsess over what should have been but working with Tucker made her change.
She horns in on what she wants and the universe awards her and she didn’t say anything about playing nice.
At Chancellor Park, Nikki tells Adam she’s sorry for his loss.
He blathers about how he’s not Nicholas and that there’s no God because of what happened. Nikki asks him not to let this consume him.
He tries to get away but she reminds him he has a son who needs him and people who care about him.
She asks him to hold on to that.

At Sharon’s, she tells Nick that the box of Cameron’s is freaking her out.
They talk about Sally. He’ll go check on her as soon as he sees Sharon’s settled.
She’s not sure how to be settled with him coming after her even from beyond the grave.
What if these gifts keep coming? She hates that this guy is in her mind.
Nick calls him a twisted SOB and she hopes he is burning in hell. She says she dreams of the man and flinches at every noise.
Nick’s with her and begs her to let him in. She says she killed him and watched him die.
She sees him everywhere and wonders how does she move on and find peace. She gets an idea. He’d have to get his hands dirty. “Whatever it takes,” he tells her.
They burn Cameron’s stuff in a little champagne holder.
Sharon says she feels guilty about bringing this man into their lives.
Nicholas says not to blame herself but Sharon knows this will mark Faith in ways they don’t even know.
Nick says they’re all there for her. The fire burns out and Sharon gets an idea.
She figures she can take the tech company belonging to Cameron and sell it or turn a profit from it and donate proceeds to charity.
Nick likes that idea. Sharon says she’s been through it all and has found the strength she thought she lost. He calls her the strongest woman he knows. She says it’s time for a new direction, a new future.
She can’t wait to share this with Mariah and Tessa. She wants to teach them there’s always a way to come back from dark moments and flourish.
At Society, Victor asks Adam to get off the phone. Nikki called him and she’s worried about him. “So am I.”
Adam scoffs, reminding his dad the only time he said Sally’s name was as though it was a curse.
And Nikki told him to focus on those who love him. He calls it a laugh. Victor wants him to throw his energies into building McCall.
Adam wants to clean house. Anyone loyal to Tucker gets a severance package.
He has a plan and details it, which includes the media divisions being upended.
Victor’s surprised he’s going after Newman Media. Adam built that company and wants it back!
Victor thinks it’s all a mistake. Adam doesn’t care. His dad thinks he’s letting his emotion cloud his judgment and warns that he can take away everything he gave. “So you threatening me now?” Adam says.
Victor invites him to take it how he wants. He’s not his enemy. He calls himself the biggest supporter he has.
Nikki arrives at Newman and gets a text that makes her eyebrow frow. “What on earth?”
Back in Victoria’s office, she and Nate continue to talk business. They need to take a business trip.
They kiss and canoodle and she knows it’ll be better than their last one.
“Food and nightlife and you? My bag is already packed.”
Nikki interrupts with an apology. She needs to talk to Victoria. He goes to prep for his meeting.
He goes and Nikki confronts her daughter, asking if it’s her intention to keep Nicholas out of Newman permanently. She found out she dissolved his support team. Victoria says her mama doesn’t understand.
She reassigned his team to other departments so they’re not waiting for him to return.
Nikki thinks they could work with Nate while Nicholas is gone but Victoria says he doesn’t need his hand held.
Nicholas has a lot of outside distractions and they expect more. Nikki is pissed and thinks it feels personal, a way to strike out at her brother.
Victoria says his team doesn’t see Adam or McCall as a threat and Nate’s not afraid to go up against them.
Nikki goes on record in warning that she finds this aggressive and unnecessary.
Victoria calls it good business. Her mom thinks this has to do with Ashland and Nicholas warning her about him and her refusing to listen. She thinks Victoria’s worried he’s right this time as well.
Victoria gets pissed that she’s rubbing this mistake in her face but Nikki is just trying to get through to her. She seems also to be preparing for a war with Adam.
At the park, Audra talks to Kyle about using AI as a distribution tool. She hopes she’s not boring him.
She’s not, he insists. She tells him she likes making decisions that can change everything.
He’s excited for her. She plans on lighting Newman up every minute she’s there. He’s inspired.
Back in Victoria’s office, Nikki says that she’s doing all of this to her family and Nate’s cheering her on. Victoria thinks he’s the only one supporting her.
Nate appears and says the meeting with Babcock is set and he wants to brief them.
Nikki takes off and Nate comments on how upset she is. She shrugs and Audra arrives for a quick meeting.
Afterward, Nate and Victoria scream her praises. The three of them will focus on putting McCall under them.
Outside Society, Kyle looks at a photo of him and Summer and calls his flower guy, Gerrard, to send flowers to Audra, “From one overachiever to another, thanks for showing me your moves.
No name. She’ll know,” he says. He tacks on some diamond earrings, too and says to charge it to his account.
Inside, Nikki meets Victor and Adam leaves. Victor tells his wife that Adam’s stuffing down his feelings and how he’s worried about what he wants to do with McCall.
Nikki shares all that Victoria’s doing with Nate’s backing.
He’s feeding her a sense of power and she won’t listen to anything else. “Oh boy,” Mumbles says. Victoria and Adam are aiming for a head-on collision.
