In this episode of Young and the Restless, Sally continues to blame Adam for choosing her over their baby, though the baby’s lungs were not fully formed, Nick learns the baby was stillborn and Faith and Sharon comfort each other in the aftermath of Cameron’s death.
In the previous episode, Sally blamed Adam for losing her baby.

Sharon and Nick return from Faith’s room.
They hope she can get the swear smell off of her and then get some sleep. Nick offers to stick around until Sharon showers but with the cops and Victor’s security team, they will be fine.
He should go check on Sally and get some sleep. She’s sure that they’ll only get good news from here.
Once Nick’s gone, Faith appears and frightens Sharon momentarily.
Faith was freaked out being upstairs alone. Sharon understands.
Faith sees Cameron’s duffle bag and when she learns it’s his, she asks her mom to put it on the porch until the police come to pick it up.
In Sally’s hospital room, Sally asks how Adam could do this. He doesn’t understand.
She says she was pregnant and now she’s not. He had to make a decision and Elena gave him no time to make it.
Sally was unconscious and this wasn’t a scenario they’d discussed. The baby’s lungs wouldn’t have been ready so he had to choose Sally.
“How could I not?” Sally can’t believe he chose her over Sally. He says it wasn’t like that.
But he couldn’t lose her. Sally reminds him that she’s not his anymore and accuses him of not fighting for her. Adam calls it the hardest decision of his life.
He thought he was making the right choice.
She thinks it’s a choice of destroying her life. She wants what was taken away from her.
He reminds her, “It was taken from us, Sally.” He’s worried about her.
She says that he forced her to let her down and she promised she wouldn’t let them down the way her parents did to her.
She wails and clutches her chest and he worries she needs a doctor but she just needs her daughter.
She sobs some more and Adam shifts uncomfortably, looking as though he’s in considerable emotional pain.
Sally thinks he should have fought for her and asks, “Who are you?”
He’s the man who is there for her. He fought for her. Sally doesn’t want to be there without her. “I just want my baby,” she blubbers.
She didn’t even want this because she didn’t want to fail her daughter the way her mom failed her.
“You made me love her and you told me everything was going to be okay.”
Sally starts blaming herself. She realizes Adam loved her and would have cared for her.
He would have spoiled her rotten.
They would have given her the moon as a toy, he says, tears now falling down his cheeks. Sally kicks him out.
Nick appears and Adam says he wanted to talk to him face-to-face.
He explains she was worried about him and frustrated about being cooped up.
He explains he took her out and her headache wouldn’t subside.
Nothing worked on it. He asks why his brother didn’t call and learns they were in a life-and-death situation.
Adam says they lost the baby. Nick doesn’t know what to say.
Elena reappears and says Sally was asking for Nick.
Nick goes to see Sally and kisses her. He should have been there.
She tells him it should have been her.
Adam had a choice between her and the baby and he chose her.
Nick thinks he chose right. She cries in his arms and tells him to let her go.
He leaves and Elena gives Adam a bag. A memento.
Nick says that Sally could use something to help her sleep.
Elena leaves and Nick could use a drink. He invites Adam to talk but Adam needs to do something first so they agree to meet at Society.
Elena returns to Sally to tell her how sorry she is. She offers to sit with her but Sally wants to sleep so she says the nurse will be in with a sleep aid.
“She asks if she wants to see the baby and if so, she can tell the nurses.”
Sally doesn’t think she will do that. Elena gives her a gift from the nurses and leaves.
Sally opens it and it’s little booties and a card that says her name is Ava Spectra. There’s a little card inside with the baby’s footprints.

Sally cries, reading that Ava was the daughter of Sally Spectra and Adam Newman.
She’s too afraid to hold her because she’s afraid her daughter will be too disappointed in her.
She wishes she had a lifetime with her. She was never going to be alone again. She vows never to forget Ava.
She needs to say goodbye and will do it while she holds her. She presses the call button. “I would like to see my baby now, if that’s okay.”
Adam finds Nick at Society and a drink waiting for him.
He’s grateful and Adam tells his brother that they had to induce labor and a risk and no time.
There was a complication and Elena forced him to choose.
Nick can identify with that and he’s sorry that he had to choose but he’s grateful his brother was there.
Adam says he’s the last person she wanted to see.
Nick tells him that he did the right thing. He knows he’ll never be able to convince him that it wasn’t his fault. Adam says it doesn’t matter.
He’d have given her his life and now they’re supposed to go on.
The world keeps spinning without her in it. How do they go on?
Nick’s not sure but they endure. The men embrace before Nick goes.
Nick goes back to Sharon’s and tells her and Faith about the baby being stillborn.
The women are upset and learn Adam’s alone. “God only knows how he will deal with it,” Nick says.
Faith hugs her dad and when she goes to bed, Nick checks on how Sharon’s doing after killing a man. She insists she’s okay but he’s been there. After Ashland’s death, you want to be careful that he doesn’t haunt you.
He urges Sharon to talk so she repeats what happened.
She feels alive, activated and awake for the first time since Rey’s death.
Back at Society, Adam opens the same little package Sally had with a little pink hat and booties.
Victor comes upon him and apologizes for his loss. Adam blames himself. “I did this to her.”
Victor tries to tell him it’s not true but Adam thinks there’s something in his genetic makeup that ruins things.
Victor asks her name. Adam says it was Ava. Victor says it’s beautiful and he wishes he knew her.
Adam wishes too. Victor admits he’s come through something like this if it helps. “What did you do?”
Victor says he turned away from everyone and it was a mistake.
You turn to those who love you when this sort of thing happens.
Adam says there’s nobody and he has to get through this alone. Victor denies that. He has people in his life. Adam thinks people will be happy to hold the baby’s death over his head.
Victor will be there for him, Sally and Connor. All he has to do is ask. Adam just wants forgiveness from Sally.
Victor says he can’t expect it from her now. In time… Adam appreciates it but nothing matters anymore. He takes off.
