(Canadian Y&R day ahead recap for Sept 20, 2023 episode airs in the USA on Sept 21. Live by 4:15 PM EST daily.)
At Society, Diane urges Jack to step back but he wants to have a word with his brother after he spots him talking to Devon.
He strides over and asks for a moment with his brother.
Devon was about to leave anyway.
Billy repeats his warning about Tucker to him.
Once Devon is gone, Jack demands to know why his brother went behind his back.
Billy insists that he never agreed not to speak to Devon and he’s sure he made the right decision.
All he did was tell him about Ashley and Tucker’s falling out.
He was planting a seed to remind Devon of who his father is. Jack doubts anything will grow and Devon could have just gone off to warn his dad.
Billy thinks that would be good. His brother regrets all this but Billy sees no downside.
“You never do,” Jack groans.
They bicker until Diane comes over and stops them. Billy walks off.
Jack doesn’t know if he can trust his brother anymore. He may need to cut the cord and let him go.
Billy goes to the jazz lounge and drinks.
He flashes back to bickering with his brother over and over.
He takes out his phone and sends Tucker a text asking to meet.
Kyle joins Audra in the GCAC dining room and tells her he’s missed her outside of work.
Has she changed her mind about their fling?
He flashes back to Nikki telling him that he and Audra needed to end their affair.
Audra tells him she’s just been swamped with work.
If he’s patient, they can figure this out.
As she leans over to him, Nikki pops up and comments on how close they look.
Were they talking business or something more intimate?
Audra insists they were only talking business.
Her boss wants details so they make some up.
Nikki asks him to step away so they can speak in private.
She tells Audra that it is problematic for them to have any interaction at all.
Audra admits the attraction is still there but she respects her too much to break any rules.
Nikki doubts that Kyle has that much restraint and Jack’s old wild streak is showing up in his behavior.
She thinks it would be for the best if they removed Kyle from Newman.
Audra suggests she’s overreacting.
Nikki is sure they are carrying on in secret and warns the young lady she’s on thin ice.
She was going to fire her too but decides to give her one last chance.
As she goes, she tells her to notify Kyle of his termination.
As Kyle sits in a corner and drinks coffee, he thinks about sex with Audra and arranging to continue their affair in secret.
It dawns on him that she’s been acting suspiciously.

New! Y&R spoilers into September
Veronica Redd is back to Y&R as Mamie
In his office, Victor tells Lily that all will be revealed in due time.
She just has to trust him.
The only thing he will admit about how bought his share of Chancellor-Winters is that they approached him.
Victoria interrupts and Victor announces Lily is on her way out.
Once she’s gone, Victoria asks her father what that was about. He won’t explain.
She’s surprised when he admits he owned part of Chancellor-Winters and just sold it.
She looks over at where her portrait used to be and recalls how much her father admired it.
Victoria brings up his replacing it with his own portrait.
“Your office has walls, doesn’t it?” he asks.
She’s taking all of this personally and feels like she’s being punished.
She can’t understand what she did to deserve this. He claims she did a wonderful job.
This all sounds like a press release to her. Her father informs her this is not about her.
The company is disjoined and she contributed to that.
She suggests he set her up to fail and blames herself for not seeing this coming.
“I’m sad to say you don’t see a lot of things,” he says.
He thought she and her brothers would create a united front but he had to step in to fix things.
She blames him for driving Nick out of the company.
They start arguing about the company.
He says that Newman is bigger than her and her feelings.
Her opinions are irrelevant and if she disagrees with him, she can leave.
He’s outraged when she claims that everything will fall apart if she leaves.
Nikki rushes in after hearing them argue from down the hall.
She suggests they all take a breath and calm down.
She reminds them that they don’t need to sort all this out now because it will be weeks until the changes take effect.
Until then, she and Victor will go on vacation.
Pounding the desk, Victor declares they have to take effect immediately.
It’s his decision and there is no more to discuss.
After he storms out, Nikki accuses her daughter of agitating him.
Victoria vents that he keeps changing the rules and making things worse.
How long can she ignore what is happening to him?
Lily meets with Devon at the penthouse and fills him in on Victor not telling her anything. It’s like he’s playing a game.
All she could learn is that someone wants a piece of their company and she suspects it’s Tucker.
It could be a way of getting his foot in the door.
It could be part of his revenge plan. Devon doubts it.
He adds that he just had an odd conversation with Billy.
He and Jack think Tucker is more dangerous than ever.
They mull this over. He thinks Billy was just shooting his mouth off.
His sister continues to worry but he points out they have no proof his father is a mystery investor.
She thinks they need to figure this out.
Devon suggests she’s jumping to a lot of unwarranted conclusions.
She gets that this is complicated for him but urges him not to underestimate what Tucker is capable of.
After the siblings assure each other they love each other, he repeats that Tucker is not “the guy.”
Even if he was, his share wouldn’t give him a stay at the company.
She still thinks it’s Tucker.
Audra meets Kyle in the park and informs him that Nikki is sure they are still seeing each other.
They can’t keep doing this.
He offers to be more careful but she says it’s too late.
Nikki ordered her to fire him.
She fought for him but her mind was made up.
“It’s over on all counts,” she says, walking away.
Kyle goes to the GCAC bar to drink to being unemployed again.
Victor joins him and Kyle complains about Nikki forcing Audra to fire him.
Victor hates to tell him, but he belongs with his own family in his family business.
