Weds Feb 14, 2024: Today on Young and Restless, Victor shares shocking news with Nikki, Adam goes out on a limb for Sally, Claire receives a surprise visitor.
Tuesday’s recap: Ashley Threatens Tucker and Then Breaks Down to Traci while Nick and Phyllis Catch Up Over Drinks

Memorial Hospital, Psych Ward
At Memorial, Claire reads to Nadia (Coco Nation) about Greek goddesses when Victoria pokes her head in.
They discuss Athena and how brave she was and how it’s hard to face challenges and that it’s fine to ask for help.
She starts to talk about Poisiden when she realizes her mother is there.
Claire introduces the kid as her mother and a nurse appears at the door as Claire says Nadia had pneumonia and she’s feeling better.
The staff agreed to let her come to her room to read about Greek Mythology.
The nurse says it’s time for the kid to get back to the children’s ward.
Once they leave, they both agree they’re surprised Claire’s so good with kids. It makes her feel stronger to see them.
They need help and she can give it. Victoria’s proud of her daughter.
Claire smiles and says they’re a good distraction and good therapy.
Her real therapy is about brainwashing and she knows she has to do it.
The harder she works, the harder she wants to, so she can get better.
Victoria says the whole family is pulling for her. She asks if there’s news about Jordan.
Victoria doesn’t want her to be anything but a distant memory.
They talk about the book and how Victor is like Zeus and the convoluted family tree and intrigue.
Victoria thinks the parallels are clear.
Claire thinks her mom is Athena. She loves her mom’s visits and looks forward to them. So does Victoria.
Newman Enterprises
Adam and Nick arrive for a meeting with their father.
He’s not in his office so they ponder what it’s all about.
They get texts that he’s been unavoidably detained, which makes them worry.
The Ranch
At the ranch, Victor gets off a call after telling someone to keep him informed.
He asks how she slept and she gets tea as she snipes that he ended his call when she walked into the room.
She assumes it was about her but he says it was about Jordan.
He says he learned the fire was due to arson and the bodies are identified. Six are unaccounted for. Nikki knows she’s one.
He agrees but assures she’ll be found when she slips up. Nikki wants to lure her into a trap but he won’t let her use herself as bait.
When she tries to speak, he ends the discussion. He tells her she’ll work from home.
Nikki won’t let her turn her home into a prison. “Sweetheart, you can and you will,” Victor says.
He somehow thinks it’ll help her not want a drink so she tells him that’s not how it works.
If an alcoholic wants a drink, they’ll find a way to get one. He reminds her there’s no booze in the house.
He thinks there’s no way she can drink. She agrees to go along with his rules before he gives “his baby” a hug and takes off for the office.
Crimson Lights
At Crimson Lights, Sally tells Chloe there’s no good news yet.
She remains positive and thinks their last project will photograph beautifully.
Chloe says that’s their last job and they’ve nothing on deck.
Sally admits they’re in serious trouble. They could lose everything.
They think of reaching out to people in LA or NYC but can’t think of who.
They’ll market the heck out of the photography but it may be too late.
Chloe knows it happens to start-ups and thinks they need to ask Nick for more money.
Sally refuses. Chloe takes a chance to bash her for reuniting with Adam and Sally doesn’t want to discuss that.
Chloe doesn’t want to go there so agrees to drop it.
She suggests they take on another partner.
Someone established with deep pockets. Sally worries they’ll lose control.
Neither wants to give up on this so Sally makes suggestions.
Newman Enterprises
Victor arrives at his office and tells his boys about the arson and “that Jordan woman” is missing.
Nick’s sickened by her committing mass murder for the sake of this revenge.
Adam’s disgusted, too. Nick worries about Nikki and thinks it’s time to act.
Victor agrees and Adam asks to set a trap for her.
Victor has a plan but can’t talk about it until it’s in place.
He’ll do “everything in my power” to get rid of that woman.
Adam says if he can help, count him in.
Nick doesn’t support his dad using him as bait but he’s in, too.
Vic says he has to fight this on his own, leaving his sons to share a concerned glance.
Victor leaves and the guys talk about how to keep their dad safe. Adam has a question about Sally for Nick.
He says if he’s about to ask her to marry him, it doesn’t concern him.
This is about Sally’s business.
She has too much pride to tell him it’s not going well.
The projects have wrapped up and things are slow.
She’ll need a lot of capital. Nick says she can come and ask him.
Adam’s thought is not to give more money but explains that their father offered to create a design division for Sally to run, and then pulled the rug out from under her.
Nick looks disgusted.
Adam wants to give her that division.

Mishael Morgan (Amanda) returns
The Ranch
Lauren strolls into the ranch to see Nikki, who offers coffee and her thanks for helping her run Newman Media.
Lauren’s happy for a new challenge and to be part of her support team.
Lauren asks her friend to bring her up to speed on what Audra was working on.
Nikki says she is a bit hazy on it and will have to get back to her. Lauren can see she’s having a rough morning. How can she help?
Nikki appreciates her but doesn’t want to fall apart. She says she found out Jordan escaped and is on the loose.
Lauren’s shocked at that and learns that Jordan survived the fire she set and is gone.
Lauren hopes the “psychopath” will disappear forever.
Nikki says she’s been taunting her with phone calls and Lauren asks her friend not to let Jordan get to her.
She’s been through this with Sheila. It’s how they break you down and win. Nikki agrees, she can’t let Jordan intimidate her.
Nikki looks for the number Jordan called from. It’s private and Victor’s security couldn’t trace it.
She fills Lauren in on the stripper music that plays and calls the number.
Jordan picks up and Nikki says she can’t beat her family so she can keep playing her little games, the song that doesn’t embarrass her in the least.
“I think of it as a fight song, and anthem, shall we say.”
She’ll play it to celebrate her final downfall, claiming Jordan has no allies.
Claire has seen the truth about her sick demented aunt. Nikki’s not surprised Jordan’s not replying and calls her a weak coward.
She urges her to come to her at the ranch.
“Give me a chance to cross a line,” she spits.
After she disconnects, Lauren calls her ferocious.
Nikki’s grateful.
They finish their business and Nikki gets a call from Jordan.
Lauren suggests she ignore the call.
Memorial Hospital, Psych Ward
Claire and Victoria’s chat at Memorial is interrupted by Victor who wants to ask questions about Jordan.Victoria’s not sure it’s a good idea but Claire is fine with it. She assumes Jordan has escaped.
Victor wants clues about Jordan’s behavior so they can catch her again.
Victoria’s pissed but Claire can handle this conversation. She has no interest in protecting her.
Victor tells Claire that there was a fire at the prison and it was arson.
Claire knows Jordan set it. She tells them Jordan called her there a few days ago and lied to the nurse, saying she was her mother.
Victor asks why she kept it from them. She put it out of her mind and says she wasn’t trying to withhold information.
Claire was furious about being tricked and told her she wanted to see her dead.
Claire tells “Mr. Newman” she worries about Nikki all the time.
Victor tells her she’s a part of the family and asks her to call him Victor.
He thinks Jordan will call her again. If she does, he asks her to give the woman a message.
Though Victoria’s against it, Victor says to tell her that he’s willing to make amends for the hurt he caused her sister, Eve.
Claire will try. Victor leaves and Victoria follows and asks him not to use Claire like this.
Victor says her mother is on a binge, and drinking herself into oblivion because of “that Jordan woman” and he cares about her, not Claire.
He leaves and Claire can see Victor’s setting himself up as bait.
She’s happy to work with him to put an end to this horror show.
