Thurs March 7, 2024: Today on Young and Restless, Jack worries about Ashley’s state of mind, Devon makes a promise to Abby, Jordan targets Victoria.
Wednesday’s recap: Jordan Sets Victoria’s House on Fire, Nikki Blames Herself for Seth’s Death — & Danny Invites Christine On Tour

Victoria and Victor sit in her car, watching her house burn down to the ground.
A fireman comes by and tells them they can’t be this close to the blaze.
It’s not safe. Victoria cries that it’s her house. The fireman tells her that they are doing all they can to “subdue the fire,” but that it went up fast. Victoria says her whole life sin that house. He says that they can just stop it from spreading to the woods. Victoria sobs.
At the ranch, Nikki knows Jordan burned Victoria’s house down.
Claire worries that they haven’t heard anything.
Nikki paces and Claire agrees, Jordan did this.
Nikki calls her evil and Claire grapples with believing the woman who raised her would do this to them.
Nikki’s relieved the kids are at boarding school.
She gets a call from Victor who tells her the news.
She sobs.
Victor says they’re on the way home and that their daughter is devastated.
They disconnect and Nikki has a meltdown.
She can’t handle this. Claire asks how to help her.
Nikki says to distract her with talk about.
Claire talks about Nadia in the psych ward and how smart she is and that she likes Greek Mythology.
This calms Nikki down and she talks about recovery and thinks Claire might like to work with children, eventually.
Claire likes that idea but has never had ambition.
Nikki encourages her.
Besides, she has the best references she could have. Her family.
Claire cries happy tears and thanks her grandmother.
Claire is sad her mom lost everything but Nikki says those are only things.
She has her family. Claire feels stronger because of them, shocked at their forgiveness.
Tucker answers the door at his suite to an angry looking Abby who asks what game he’s playing with her mom.
Tucker says things are over between them.
Abby talks about how much her mom loved and defended him.
He pushed her until she lost part of herself.
She left and then he started playing games to punish her.
He doesn’t know what she means.
She yells that he’s not clueless so stop pretending to be.
He tells her Ashley’s been acting strange since her Paris return.
He thought she was playing games but now sees otherwise.
He doesn’t really care though because he’s moved on.
He continues packing and tells her he’s going to Paris for a few days.
She wants him gone for good. She starts in on how he treats Devon.
He asks what prompted her outrage and Abby says she tried to convince Devon to forgive him.
She asks him to stay away from all of them.
He asks, “Do you represent all of them? Do you speak for all of them? This is your call?”
She says it is and if he doesn’t listen, “There will be hell to pay.”
If her mom is planning revenge, she hopes it works. But if he tries to retaliate, “Mark my words. You will regret it,” she sneers.

Jack finds Ashley in the living room drinking.
He asks why she’s up and she’s not sure.
She was exhausted and fell into bed fully dressed.
She dreamed that he and Traci were arguing with her at the Athletic Club, and then Tucker was at her side, trying to tell her what Jack was saying.
It all made sense to her.
Jack seems concerned.
Ashley says in her dream she wasn’t herself.
She was somebody she didn’t know.
Tucker’s in her head.
Jack knows it’s hard to move on. He wishes Tucker would leave town.
Ashley says it won’t happen so Jack thinks they need to find a way to break the connection.
He asks if she wants that. She’s not sure.
Sometimes she thinks she is and feels she’s moved on but then a weird shift comes over her and she sees him differently.
Maybe she should forgive him and give him another chance.
Jack doesn’t think he deserves one but asks how he can help her break the cycle.
She smiles, happy he wants to help but she has to do it alone.
Jack’s sure she’ll get through this and suggests she call her psychologist friend in Paris.
Ashley likes that idea. It’s morning there.
Jack tells her he has another plan and goes upstairs.
She sits to make the call and touches her head as if she has a headache.
She closes her eyes and her inner voices ask if this is the right thing.
“I’m scared. What? Dammit! What’s she done now?”
Ashley says to get out of her head. “Can’t let this happen. Not again,” the voices say.
Once they’re gone, Ashley opens her eyes. Her demeanor seems to change.
Jack appears. He found them a late-night snack. Lemon meringue pie.
Ashley says she called her friend in Paris and got his voicemail.
She thanks him for his suggestion and tells him she’s going for a walk and will eat the pie later.
Once she’s gone, Diane gets up and talks to Jack about Ashley.
She hopes her husband will let her deal with her things on her own.
Jack tries but complains about Ashley’s decisions.
First, she seems confused and torn, then in full control of herself.
What do they do with that? Diane thinks she’s just working through things.
He knows and will try to let it go this time.
He appreciates her support, after everything Ashley put her through.
She rose above. Diane says it’s because she adores him.
Back at the ranch, Victoria hugs her mother and they cry together that everything is gone in the fire.
Nikki’s sorry but thankful everyone is safe.
Claire hugs her mom and Victor says Jordan’s responsible.
Nikki calls her despicable and wants to “tear her limb from limb.”
Claire says Jordan feels alone and desperate. Means she could get sloppy.
Victor will ask her to meet, convinced she won’t get the upper hand on him.
Later, everyone has gone to bed when Nikki paces the living room and stops at the bar cart.
She calls Jack with an apology.
She’s having a rough time.
He’ll be there in half an hour. Diane will wait up for him. He loves her. They kiss and he goes to change.
Abby meets Devon at the Athletic Club dining room.
She tells him about her visit with Tucker.
Devon wonders why she’d waste time talking to him.
He’s too self-centered to care what she says.
Abby knows but it felt good to let him have it.
Devon appreciates it but he doesn’t need her protection.
She knows but hopes he never gives his father another chance.
Devon has no interest in getting burned again. Abby relaxes a little.
Devon tells her to stay away from Tucker now. Abby wants to but wonders why her mom is drawn to the man again.
Back in Tucker’s room, he flashes back to his last meeting with Ashley, how he told her to stop playing games. He drinks and sighs.
“Oh Ashley, Ashley, Ashley. What is going on with you?”
Ashley runs into Abby and Devon on their way out of the Athletic Club.
Since it’s late, they ask what she’s doing there.
She lies that she was at the lab and got so involved, she didn’t realize the time.
She’s starving so came to get a bite.
She invites them to join her but they need to get home to Dominic.
Abby invites her home but she refuses. Abby worries she’s there to see Tucker but she claims she isn’t.
As soon as they’re gone, she messages Tucker, asking him to meet. It’s urgent.
She grins up the stairs toward his room.
