Fri Jan 12, 2024: Today on Young and Restless, Victor blames Seth for not being there for Nikki, Sharon goes to Victor to see how he’s doing, Jordan lies and tries to manipulate Claire, and Nikki’s got some regrets.
Thursday’s recap: Furious with Her Family, Nikki Gets Drunk and Tries to Rope Lauren Into Covering for Her

The Newman Ranch
Sharon arrives at the ranch to see if Victor and Nikki’s invitation to her party got lost in the mail.
He’s sorry but they won’t be able to come. She understands.
After hearing a little of what they went through with “that crazy woman from Oregon” and what she did.
Victor wishes her a successful launch and says whatever problems she has she should meet them head on.
“Because I’m about to,” he intimates.
GCAC, Nikki’s suite
Seth gets Nikki some water in her suite at GCAC.
She’s out of it and can barely remember his name let alone last night. Lauren helped her get this room.
Seth says, “You gave Miss Fenmore my bumper.”
He took over the care of her. She recalls staggering through the lobby.
Seth calls Lauren a good friend and Nikki groans at her humiliation.
He asks how that hangover is treating her. He gets her some tea.
Her favorite blend, she says and thanks him for dropping everything to be with her.
Seth says that’s what he does and he’s been in the worst places when he was in recovery.
That makes her feel worse but he isn’t going to kick her when she’s down. Someone’s been calling and he calls her in demand.
She groans, and can’t check her voicemail now. He thinks it can wait.
He asks, “How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time.”
A knock comes to the door and Seth thinks it’s the room service he ordered for her but it’s Victor.
Seth takes off and Victor calls Nikki his baby and hugs her as she weeps.
He blames Jordan, reminding her she’s done so much hard work and Jordan ruined it all.
Oregon prison
In the jail in Oregon, Cole tries to talk Victoria down from her worrying and Claire appears, with butterflies in her stomach.
Victoria says she can call this off. They can go home.
Claire feels sick and angry. Victoria wonders if it’s a chance to heal.
They leave and Jordan shows up. She wishes she could hold Claire but they’re not allowed to touch.
She says she’s treated like a criminal around there but she’s not.
“You’re misunderstood,” Claire says, unsmiling. Jordan claims she feels shame and regret.
She couldn’t bear to watch Nikki hurting Claire anymore. Claire reminds her she didn’t hurt her.
Claire did. Drugged her and took her from the hospital. Jordan says she risked her life for Claire’s and is paying the price.
She doesn’t regret the sacrifices she’s made for Claire.
She claims she loves Claire. She isn’t perfect.
She’s done and said things, she’s been unkind and Claire has suffered.
It makes her feel terrible. They were happy at one time.
Claire doesn’t want to discuss it. Jordan says she’s innocent and doesn’t know how she’ll survive in there.
This may be the last they see of each other unless they can help each other.
Claire says the Newmans have been supportive and Nikki saved her life.
“You were gonna kill us.” Jordan calls that a lie.
They’re liars trying to turn her against them.
Claire says she’s a user and twists everything around.
She takes people’s confidence and love and leaves them with nothing.
Jordan denies it and Claire snipes that she lived it and she will never let Jordan do that to her again.
Jordan can see they turned her against her and says the Newmans eat their young.
Claire says she’s walking away but they think she belongs with them but Claire can’t stand the loss in their eyes, that they know she’s too broken for them.
“I made you what you are.” Claire says yes, she turned her into someone who doesn’t believe she should have anything good in her life.
She calls Jordan the monster who haunts her nightmares.
Jordan says she loves Claire. Claire tells her aunt this is the last they’ll see of one another.
“You want this place to kill me?” Jordan asks, grasping at straws.
Claire hopes her own hopes are dashed because this is her life now, and forever.
She calls for the guard and Jordan says they’re finished when she says so. She has plans. “Just wait.”
The guard comes and takes her away as she yells that Claire chose the wrong side.
Once Aunt Jordan is gone, Victoria and Cole talk to Claire who explains what happened.
She thanks her parents for everything.
They’re there for her whatever she needs. They go home.
GCAC, Tucker’s suite
At GCAC in his suite, Tucker talks to a reporter and refuses to acknowledge the redacted person on the email.
He gives a statement about learning from the painful episode and hopes they can all heal before he disconnects.

Society
At Society, Ashley asks Audra if she knows why Tucker’s gaslighting her about Paris.
Audra says he was a disaster when he returned.
Ashley considers Audra knows the man better than anyone.
Audra calls the man infuriating and he believes the world revolves around him.
Loves a good scheme but he’s never been accused of gaslighting.
Audra says he told her Ashley was exaggerating.
Ashley denies it. She was there and knows Tucker was lying. Audra notes that she wouldn’t be this upset if she didn’t have feelings for him.
Did she really let her family go in for the kill with Tucker in Glassade even though she loves him? Ash asks why she cares and Audra says she cares about people who impact her life.
When asked, she tries to explain their relationship is love/hate and he has gotten her out of tough situations but he’s also been an ass. “Sound familiar?”
Ashley asks why she agreed to see her. Audra thinks Tucker wants a shot with her but Ashley calls that impossible.
“You’re positive that things in Paris happened the way you say?” Ashley doesn’t respond and runs off.
GCAC dining area
Ashley goes to Tucker at GCAC and asks why he’s gaslighting her. He says he’s not.
She asks him to tell her what happened and he repeats what he’s already said.
She reminds him she told him she loved him and cared about what they had.
She wanted to talk about it in the morning. She flashes back differently and denies throwing a chair or breaking a glass.
He doesn’t get how she sees it that way. There was a full wait staff.
Doesn’t she think someone would have said something?
Called the police? Is that who she thinks he is? A tyrant? If that’s so, he thinks something else is at play.
She calls it despicable that he’s analyzing her and trying to make her look imbalanced.
He says she’s the one with the agenda. He thinks she’s having doubts about what she remembers. He goes, leaving her to think.
The ranch
At the ranch, Nikki texts Seth and Lauren and Victor blames Seth. “Where was he when you were drinking?”
Nikki says this is her responsibility. Not Seth’s.
Victor thinks she needs a new sponsor but she doesn’t.
Victor admits “that Claire woman” got approval from Michael to meet with her aunt.
He didn’t want to say but Victoria and Cole went there to protect Claire. Nikki shakes her head.

Mariah hides some package from Tessa at GCAC.
Tessa says, “You can trust me. I’m family. You know I can keep a secret.” She tries to take the package.
Mariah holds on tight. “No, no, no!” She turns to a waiter.
“Excuse me can you put this in the lounge, somewhere discreet where no one can see it? Thank you”
The waiter takes it away, leaving Mariah smirking and Tessa with her mouth dropped open.
In her bathroom, Phyllis looks at herself, holding a sexy bra to her chest and says, “You’ve given me no choice, Danny.
But I don’t mind one bit.” She looks down at some panties in her hand.
At Crimson Lights, Lauren is frantic as she tells Jack, “Nikki’s in trouble and I’m in over my head.”
