Fri April 5, 2024: Today on Young and Restless, Nick reconnects with Lily, Billy makes a promise to Chelsea, Sally points Adam in the right direction.
Thursday’s recap: Audra Rejects Tucker’s Proposal, Nikki Drinks and Billy’s Future at the Company is Questioned

At Chancellor-Winters, Billy is confused when Lily asks what he wants of the company.
He wants to earn trust of his team and be a good example for his kids.
He wants to protect his mom’s position and legacy but he’s no placeholder. Lily asks what’s in it for him.
He wants to take CW to new heights at her side. The way it was meant to be. Just the two of them.
She laughs at him since he’s not calling the shots here and asks what happens to the rest of them.
Billy won’t clear the deck. Everyone at the company will still have jobs. Lily says Devon won’t go for that. Billy’s sure Jill will want to groom him for her job.
At Crimson Lights, Nick and Sally run into each other.
Neither knows much about what Chelsa and Adam are doing in Baltimore but Nick feels bad for them and Connor.
She’s so happy to see Nick and Adam acting like brothers and Victor’s been great about lending the jet.
Nick’s sorry Sally didn’t get to bring her company into the Newman fold.
Sally says Adam’s convinced that he’ll bring it in now but she’s focusing on other things right now like supporting Adam about Connor.
Nick asks if she’s doing okay and she admits she wonders if becoming an interior designer was a mistake.
Maybe she should have stuck to fashion. Nick finds she has a lot of talent. She asks after him.
He’s cool. Christian is doing okay and work is “awesome.”
In the car in Genoa City, Chelsea asks Adam to thank his dad for the use of the Newman jet.
Adam stares out the window and says he wouldn’t have it any other way.
She checks her phone and Adam says not to bother checking to see if Connor called.
She’s worried if there’s a problem.
Adam stares out the window, thumb in his mouth and petulantly says, “If there’s a problem? If there’s a problem?”
He reminds her there is a problem. Their son is in Baltimore, Maryland alone.
Chelesa yells at him that she hates this too and not to make her the enemy. He apologizes.
He’ll set up Connor’s petty cash fund once they’re home.
Chelsea thanks him and agrees to send his lucky #7 jersey in case he wants to play soccer.
She’s let off at her place and Adam feels tortured. He tells the driver he’s not heading home after alal.
Chelsea arrives at CW to see Billy since his phone is turned off and she couldn’t call.
Lily gives them the room and they take off for Crimson Lights.

In her room at the Athletic Club, Sally sketches before Adam comes knocking on her door.
They embrace when he walks in. She’s stunned he’s home already.
He says they made them leave.
He describes the facility and Sally pressures him to tell her more.
He talks about the diplomas on the therapist’s wall which were probably forgeries he says.
“According to them, we did this to our son.” Adam says, angrily.
He doesn’t believe anything that comes out of their mouths.
Adam says Connor sees himself as a bad son and blames himself for their issues.
Sally shocked and wonders if it came from Connor. Adam isn’t buying it. She can see he’s hurting.
He hates being banned from seeing his kid and it was all that he could do not to ask if they had kids and to find out how they felt.
He wanted to pull Connor out of there and sue them into bankruptcy.
Sally says not to do that and since he didn’t, she thinks he should be proud he controlled his impulses.
He doesn’t know what to do and she tells him to give him a chance to settle down and clear his mind before he does anything.
He asks what if they’re right and he failed his son? Maybe he’s better off.
He refuses to cause more pain than what he’s already going through. “Maybe I was never meant to be a father.” He cries. Sally tells him he was too meant to be one. Adam says he’d die for him.
Lily runs into Nick downstairs at the bar.
They talk about her visit with her kid and since they’re both hungry, they decide to have lunch together. On her, Nick says.
She laughs and later, they talk about the business world and how unpredictable it is and Nick tells her he and Adam are working together.
She laughs that there are no black eyes or scratches on his face and Nick jokes back that she hasn’t seen Adam lately.
Nick asks about her love life and she reveals she and Daniel broke up and that he’s with Heather again and he brings up his relationship with Sally ending and thinks since he has gotten over it, she can be resilient like him.
He knows that she’s been through it before.
She says it’s a good reminder and won’t let this hold her back. She’ll focus on work.
It’s what he’s been doing and is glad she didn’t fold.
Billy takes Chelsea to Crimson Lights and she tells him about bringing Connor to the facility and to his room.
She made his bed the way he likes it but things are complicated. The facility is impressive and like a campus.
She found it all encouraging and then learned she and Adam were the two triggers for Adam’s OCD.
Connor told them. Her psychotic breakdown caused trauma and guilt “and his OCD convinced him my suicide attempt was his fault.” Billy can’t imagine but remembers this is temporary this moment.
The kid is going on ERP (exposure and response prevention) therapy.
They’ll slowly expose him to his fears and teach him how to deal. They talk about how Adam was ready to blow and how painful it was to told they couldn’t see their son.
The compulsions will be lessened. Billy thinks it sounds intense. She cries and nods. It’s overwhelming.
It’ll start to get better. He wants to trust the reputation and her instinct.
It’s good to separate Connor from a possible trigger.
Maybe it’ll prove she’s not a trigger. Chelsea agrees and thanks him.
She’ll hold on to that. It breaks her heart to think she could be one.
She weeps and Billy comforts her. Connor will get through this, come home and be better equipped.
He’ll help her get through the waiting period.
In Baltimore, Connor sits on a bench on campus and slathers his hands in hand sanitizer while he looks around, forlorn.

At Chancellor Winters, Lily tells Daniel, “Lucy forgave you. Heather’s back in your bed again, so Princess Louisa served its purpose. And now it’s just another game and I own it.”
At the Abbott’s, Jack and Diane are side by side. Jack says, “So we’re waiting for Ashley, right? I mean, she is the topic, isn’t she?” Traci tells her brother she’s scared to death for Ashley.”
At the Newman ranch, Nikki and Victor are all dolled up in formal wear. She tells him it’s been forty wonderful, complicated years since we were first married. No one can spoil this night for them. They kiss.
