Thurs Oct 12, Y&R day ahead recap: Nick drinks as he mourns the loss of his relationship with Sally, Adam is floored by Victoria and Chloe tries to be a friend to Sally.

Chloe wanders into Crimson Lights complaining on a call about fabric not getting to her fast enough.
She ends the call when she sees Sally and joins her at her table.
She can see something is wrong.
Sally needs convincing to open up and when she finally does, she admits she feels she’s lost her best friend.
She’s not sure which one and doesn’t think it’s fair to unload her drama.
Chloe calls it sharing. She’s there no matter what.
Sally finally admits Adam kissed her. “Oh.” Chloe says.
Sally explains what happened and Chloe says, “That’s Adam.”
Sally isn’t sure if she kissed Adam back and she can’t think straight now.
Chloe gets it. Sally says she blew it with Nick.
She took so long to tell him she was in love with him and now he doesn’t believe her.
Chloe asks her to stop being so hard on herself.
She’s been through a lot. Chloe thinks Nick’s amazing and will come around, though Sally says he thinks she has unresolved feelings for Adam and dumped her.
She’s not sure what she feels and isn’t sure she trusts herself.
Chloe suggests she talk to Nick but Sally doesn’t know anything anymore.
Chloe reminds her she just said she loved Nick and that Adam’s in her rearview mirror. Prove it to Nick.
Sally is reminded of school when she loved these two cute boys at the same time.
She wasn’t confused. She loved both. Chloe thinks she’ll realize she loves Nick.
Nick sits guzzling beer at Society, where Adam finds him. Adam’s worried about their father who called him Nicholas at the office.
“He had no idea he even said it.” Nick shrugs. “Maybe it was wishful thinking.”
Adam thinks it could be “mental issues, memory loss.”
Nick doesn’t want to hear one more word he has to say on anything.
Adam asks what’s happening, and Nick accuses him of screwing up every aspect of his life.
“I’m done,” he says.
That he’s not punching his lights out shows his restraint.
Adam guesses he should thank him.
Nick wants nothing to do with his brother anymore and stomps off, with Adam on his heels.

At the ranch, Victor tells Nikki that he called Adam Nicholas as a joke.
The kids think they can outmaneuver him. That can’t happen. Nikki’s confused.
He explains that Victoria acts like nothing has happened, but she’s seething that he stepped back in. Nikki finds it understandable.
Victor says Adam smiles after picking up Nate’s dry cleaning.
Victor’s not sure who he can trust.
Nikki thinks he can trust her, Nicholas and Victoria.
Victor admits he thinks he can trust Nate. “He’s loyal.”
Nikki doubts that. He stepped his own family in the back! Victor says it remains to be seen.
One of them will betray him from the inside.
Nikki suggests he fire both men and invite Nicholas back.
She’s so surprised by all of this that she asks if she’s on his watchlist too.
Victor trusts her implicitly.
But he’s always watched his back. She asks why he doesn’t just fire the men.
He’s watching them and hopes Victoria isn’t going to be the one to plunge the knife into his back.
Nikki denies their daughter will do that. What’s happening to him?
She doesn’t understand him. Victor says not to worry.
He has reason to believe someone’s out to stab him in the back and in the past, his suspicions have been on the mark.
As long as he lives, nobody will take over. He wants his wife to trust him.
Adam follows Nick to Chancellor Park and asks if this is about Sally because if so, he is sorry and knows it was wrong.
Nick tries to walk away but Adam vows to keep his distance from Sally.
Nick calls him a disgrace to the Newman family and walks off as Victoria appears.
She assumes Nick’s not buying this new Adam. Adam says it’s a personal issue.
Victoria apologizes for jumping to conclusions and Adam almost falls over.
She admits their father and Nate asked her to give him a chance.
Adam asks if she’s noticed Victor’s memory issues.
He shares what happened yesterday and she tells him he’s not wrong in his thinking.
Adam’s shocked she acknowledged that. “See ya sis,” he says as he leaves.
Nick heads to the Athletic Club and drinks some more as he flashes back to talking to Sally about where their relationship was headed, and her confession that Adam kissed her.
Victoria calls Nick to meet.
He reluctantly tells her where he is.
Sally’s tired of having these feelings for Adam and admits Nick is right.
She has unresolved feelings for Adam. Chloe blames Adam and tries to talk Sally out of acting on her feelings.
She goes on about how amazing Nick is and how he’d never hurt her.

Sally girl knows. Chloe believes Adam gives her pain while Nick gives her happiness.
She urges her friend to tell Adam she’s done with him. Adam walks in and approaches their table.
He tells them that Nick almost punched him a few minutes ago. What’s going on?
Chloe asks for a minute and Adam leaves them. Chloe pressures her to deal with this.
Sally’s supposed to be focusing on her company. If she still has one.
She goes and Adam stops her, wanting to go somewhere and talk. She refuses and takes off for a meeting.
Adam glares at Chloe. She calls him the worst and he invites her to try shooting him again. With better aim this time.
“Maybe,” she says but she’s too busy. She leaves. Sharon pokes her head in.
“Oh for God’s sake. What have you done now?” She hopes it wasn’t about Sally. Adam reveals it was.
He wants a future with her. Sharon tells him to leave it alone but he hasn’t done anything.
Something has broken down between Nick and Sally. He lets his ex know that Nick almost hit him, earlier. Sharon tells him this isn’t an opening for her to come between them. It’s time to walk away. Adam can’t and thinks Sally and Nick are finished. He and Sally belong together.
Back at the Athletic Club, Victoria meets Nick who she says looks like hell. She asks what happened with Adam at the park but he’s not saying.
She brings up their father and Nick tells her to deal with it or walk away.
She argues that Victor is aging. She believes he’s in a crisis but Nick denies it.
Nikki arrives at Newman where Claire scares the heck out of her by accident.
Claire did this to her aunt a lot which doesn’t make Nikki happy.
Claire gets her some tea and cookies and asks if she’s okay.
Nikki’s dealing with family issues.
She’s vague and Claire talks about how impressive Victoria’s accomplishments are.
It proves they’re good parents since both their children are successful.
Nikki frowns.
Claire quotes her great aunt about not worrying and smiles.
From the park, Sally leaves a message for Nick, hoping this isn’t the end for them.
Victor finds Nick boxing and asks him to talk to him.
Victoria strolls into her father’s office at Newman and looks at his photos. She smashes one in a rage.

In bed, Kyle asks Audra what she wants him to do. She wants him to form an alliance with Tucker and her.
Daniel tells Danny that there is a spare bedroom with his name on it for wherever he is in town.
Lily and Phyllis smile. “Does that include extended stays?”
He was thinking of sticking around Genoa City for longer.
Nick tells Victoria, “Dad is fading.”
He thinks it’s happening faster than he ever imagined.
Victoria and Nikki look stricken.
