Thursday, July 20, Y&R day ahead recap: Billy gives Chelsea a good luck charm, Summer vents about Kyle to Chelsea, and Billy warns Kyle about Audra.
Wedneday’s Y&R day ahead: Ashley admitted she’s falling in love with Tucker, Christine and Phyllis argued about her onnocence, and Billy and Diane prepared to fight Ashley.

At the GCAC, Summer flashes back to Kyle admitting he slept with Audra.
She spots her in the dining room and walks over, asking if Kyle was just another random hook-up for her or if she had her sights set on him and his money.
Audra finds this a little tacky and tells her not to torture herself.
Technically, she may be married to Kyle but he’s a grown man. Or is that something new?
She wonders if he’s never been allowed to have free will. “If he wanted to be with you girl, he would be. Yet, here you are, on your own,” Audra says.
Summer blames him but thinks she’s disgusting. Audra tells her that if she’s a victim, she should walk away with class.
Summer brings up what this is doing to Harrison and how she needs to protect him for his father’s mistakes.
Audra has no interest in interfering with her “little family unit” and accuses her of using her son to justify her jealousy.
As Audra continues to taunt her, Kyle shows up.
Summer suggests that Audra change her cheap perfume. Maybe Kyle can get her a discount at Jabot.
Once Summer exits, Audra says she’s having a hard time accepting the marriage is over. He says they both have to face they can’t save it.
Audra asks if he’s sure about that. She’s thrilled to be working with him and having fun, but if he’s having second thoughts, he should let her know.
She putters off to work.
Billy joins Chelsea at Crimson Lights and teases her about doodling. She’s nervosa about her new job and her assures her she will blow everyone away.
He hands her a good luck charm for her first day. It’s a bee bracelet to symbolize good luck. He thought she’d be more excited than worried to return to the fashion world where she was a star.
She’d convinced herself that there was no looking back to it and worries this is a step backward. This is a lot different from what she used to do. Billy tells her to give herself a break.
Chelsea talks about tweaking and revamping things at Marchetti.
He’s convinced she will “crush it.” He assures her she is strong and it’s a thing of beauty.
He congratulates her again and takes off, leaving her beaming.
She flashes back to previous pep talks from Billy.
Summer arrives, forcing a smile and tells her she thought it would be nice for them to chat before her day kicks off.
Chelsea tells her about how supportive Billy has been and Summer recalls when they used to work together in the past. They have to figure out the best path for the two of them.
Chelsea is sure the situation with Kyle is difficult and offers to listen to her vent. Summer explains how hard she and Kyle worked to be together. They were happy and in love…and then Diane came back from the dead and ruined everything, driving her mom crazy.
She had no choice but to put her mom first. Chelsea can understand.
Summer says that Kyle didn’t even take a moment to grieve. He’s already sleeping with Audra and working a new job.
He won’t even try to understand why she did what she did and it makes her feel like all they went through was a lie.
Chelsea knows what it’s like to be full of questions when a relationship ends. But those questions rarely get answered. You can’t force someone to forgive you, you can only forgive yourself.
Summer doesn’t know how to move on without answers. She doesn’t get how Kyle can’t see what he’s doing to Harrison.
“Sometimes when things are over, they’re just over,” Chelsea says. Clinging to the past gets you nowhere so she should stop torturing herself and live in the present.
Billy arrives at the GCAC and joins Kyle at the bar. He tells him Jack is disappointed that he jumped to Newman Media.
Kyle says that it feels like a good fit and insists he’s not trying to get back at his father.
Billy says Audra can be a bit of a handful. Kyle says they understand each other.
His uncle tells him that Jabot is headed for a civil war. Kyle thinks he should just cut Ashley loose.
Billy asks if he’s still too hurt to give Summer another chance. Kyle says it’s over and it’s liberating.
They can go back to being friends but there is no marriage to save.
Billy hopes he can forgive her and move forward. He hopes he gets what he’s looking for.
He walks out as Audra returns. He tells her that his meeting cancelled and suggests they speak in private. They head upstairs.

At the ranch, Victor thinks over the demands he made on Adam regarding Adustus. He sends Adam a text, prodding him for an answer.
Sharon joins Adam at the jazz lounge. He says they are waiting for his brother.
She hopes that this is the meeting of Genoa City’s new power trio. Nick joins them.
Adam has listened to their arguments and is willing to go along with their ideas. He’s chosen to join forces with them. Sharon thinks this is wonderful.
Nick asks his brother if he’s told his dad the news. Adam has been getting impatient texts from Victor.
Sharon is convinced that the merger is perfect. Nick says it’s synergy. She thinks it could be really special.
Adam admires his big brother walking away from Newman without any bitterness. They recall their histories working in media.
The men don’t even have anything sarcastic to say.
Adam says they need to lay out their plans to Victor at the outset before he starts changing terms.
Sharon, Nick and Adam arrive at the ranch.
Victor assumes they are accepting his terms. Sharon says there is no ceiling on what they can accomplish as a team.
Victor is happy to hear that and asks what Adam thinks.
He’s not happy that he isn’t being given the autonomy he was promised. He feels like he’s under the thumb of his sister and father.
Adam says that his team mates have convinced him they can be a success.
Victor hopes that their working together will help get rid of Adam’s chip on his shoulder. Now they all have a future to look forward to.
Adam has one requirement: He asks for six months of absolute free reign. Sharon and Nick back this up.
Victor offers to allow three months. Adam says that Newman Media will become redundant.
He wants it to be folded into what they build so they can have one big happy company.
Victor refuses this. There is already a leadership structure at Newman Media. Victoria is fond of her people and Audra is there.
Adam points out that if he wants to keep things in the family, getting rid of the redundancies between the companies will do it.
Victor values family above all else but sometimes values outside advice.
They debate Audra and Nate’s presence and how trustworthy they are. Adam says Aura is expendable.

Jack fumes about Ashley’s plans to undermine Jabot. “I have a plan,” Diane tells him.
“You have our blessing…as long as you stop looking for wedding venues and let Devon and me throw your wedding at the house,” Abby tells Tucker and Ashley.
