In this episode of CBS’ The Young and the Restless, Chance tells Adam that Abby cheated on him, Billy insists on spending time with Chelsea, and Diane tells Jack what Jeremy wants. In the previous episode, Sally and Adam have sex before she says it’s over, Abby yelled at Devon for letting Tucker hold Dom, and Jeremy intimidated Diane.

At the Abbott estate, Jack hugs Diane and tells her all will be alright. She gets a text from Jeremy and gasps.
She starts to freak out that Stark will after her.
Jack offers to hire any security he has to. She doesn’t think Jeremy will be deterred.
He repeats that he is there to help her.
Diane is sure that Stark wants payback because she kept some of the money he prepared for transport. She never told the Feds about it.
She didn’t want to bring any more scrutiny on herself. Jack gets it and suggests she hand Stark his money.
Diane can’t do that. It’s gone. She spent it.
She insists Jeremy owed her the money and she used it to rebuild her life.
It was such a relief to be out from under his thumb and the money helped her put herself back together.
Sobbing, she says she felt free until Tucker came poking around. She’s been trying to escape her mistakes all over again.
Jack offers to help her repay the money, but she refuses.
The Abbott is confused so she explains that she’s finally independent and plans to stay that way.
Besides, if Jeremy believes she ratted him out, he will want to punish her.
She’s still glad she didn’t go into witness protection because it would have made reuniting with Kyle impossible.
Jack knows she wants to be independent, but she needs to know that he and Kyle will protect her.
“You are safe here now,” he says.
Diane can’t tell him how grateful she is for his support and looks into his eyes.
They nearly kiss. She throws her arms around him and thanks him for everything.
When she suggests it’s time to go, he urges her to stay in one of the guest rooms.
“This is my home and I want you here,” he says.
Adam stalks into the Glam Club thinking about how Sally told him they loved each other with all they had but it was time for them to move on and let each other go so they can be happy.
Chance interrupts and orders him a drink. They sit down.
Adam is glad they are on speaking terms and apologizes for being rough with him during the Locke investigation.
Chance asks what his deal is. The Newman just had to face the fact he lost Sally for good.
Adam is startled when Chance informs him that he’s divorcing Abby. Everything went wrong.
Adam is sure it must have been more than work-life balance stuff.
Chance admits something bad happened and it’s driving him crazy. She slept with someone else.
Adam suggests they could work things out, but Chance says the sex was just a wake-up call and there’s no point in dragging it out any longer.
Adam knows exactly what he means. He doesn’t see any hope in things working out for him if they couldn’t work for Chance.
Back over at Sally’s suite, Nick looks at the messy bed and guesses what happened between her and Adam. They are both sorry he’s seeing this.
He assumes he knows how she answered his brother’s proposal.
Before he can go, she tells him he deserves to know what happened before he decides to walk away.
She admits she had a lot of mixed feelings about Adam after his big emotional outburst and proposal. She assures Nick none of her feelings for him are a lie.
The truth is, she’s been in love with Adam the whole time.
As inappropriate as Adam’s proposal was, it got to her. He’s still certain they should be together and she wondered if he was right but was scared to admit it.
She had to know for sure if there was anything left between them if their spark was still there.
Sally is now certain that there is nothing left. He walked in on the aftermath of that realization. Adam realized the truth too.
She won’t apologize for what happened because she feels like a huge weight has been lifted and they can move on.
Nick twitches and admits it wasn’t easy seeing Adam leave but he’s not going to act territorial.
She’s sorry he had to find out this way. He hopes she got some closure.
Nick suggests that talking about moving on is premature. She’s sure her lingering feelings will fade away sooner rather than later.
Sally is confident she’s made the right decision, but he doubts it will be so easy for his brother.
She prompts Nick to say his piece.
He doesn’t know what to say. Beneath his calm exterior, there is raging jealousy and he doesn’t know what this means to them.
Sally says she wants them to date and she is ready to get to know him more fully.
She suggests he think about things.
Nick agrees. There is a lot to process.
He exits.

At home Chelsea, calls her son to check on how his sleepover is going.
Billy shows up and asks if she’s ready for movie night. He brought snacks and a comedy.
Her mouth hangs over as he gives her different choices. He wonders if he should have called first.
She claims she’s happy he’s there, but he doesn’t buy it. Chelsea explains that Connor fought with some kid who called her crazy.
Billy wonders how he can help and she explains that she’s already had to calm Adam down about this. She hates her son is being bullied because of her.
He reminds her she’s not responsible for anything.
Billy feels like she’s been avoiding him and reminds her that her therapist urged her to be honest.
She claims she hasn’t been avoiding him; she’s just been leaning on him too much.
When she mentions Lily reminded her that he can’t be there for her, he nods.
He tells her there is nowhere else he’d rather be.
They watch a movie for a while but she turns it off because he keeps heckling the screen.
Stuffing her face with popcorn, she thanks him for showing up. He needed this too.
Daniel bumps into Lily at Society.
She’s just getting take-out. So is he.
He tells her that people are more productive when they take short breaks and suggests dinner.
Once they sit down, they chat about his dad. He thinks Danny has more energy than he does.
They talk about Lucy and how brilliant he thinks she is.
He asks after the twins and she tells him they are doing well at college.
When the topic of Heather comes up, he takes a big bite and chews. He’d rather not talk about her.
Daniel goes on about gaming design and how great the platform could be.
She loves how enthusiastic he is about this. He wants to make sure it’s just right.
He’s grown into being a perfectionist and Lucy deserves this to be perfect.
This is about bettering himself and that means everything. He changes the topic to her.
She tells him about how much her confidence has been boosted at work and how the merger was her idea. Lily feels stronger than ever.
Daniel asks how she’s doing personally.
Sipping wine, she says Billy keeps things “interesting.”
He admits it’s hard for him to imagine her as a couple with Billy. Seeing them together makes no sense to him.
She claims they make a lot of sense.
He reminds her lots of people had doubts about them when they were dating.
They laugh as they remember those days and toast to being stronger.
