Thursday, July 6, 2023, Y&R day ahead episode recap: Audra and Kyle hit the sheets again and discuss business while Sally tells Nick she needs a break, and
Wednesday’s Y&R day ahead recap: Sally thought Adam was manipulative, Adam thought Audra was underestimating him, and Summer questioned where Audra’s flowers and jewelry came from.

In her suite, Sally thanks Nick for bringing her hot sauce and tells her how uplifting her meeting with Chloe was.
They talked about ergonomics.
He tells her that his dad offered him a job working with Adam.
Pacing, she rants about how infuriating his father is, sucking him into Adam’s drama.
As she rails about how people are always trying to fix Adam but he can’t be fixed, he wonders where this is coming from.
He worries his brother will start spiraling again.
She doesn’t want to discuss him. She needs to rest.
Nick suggests shows they could watch but she’s on a hair-trigger and thinks he should go before she says something she shouldn’t. She needs some space.
She can tell he’s trying and she appreciates it.
Kissing her, he tells her to feel better and exits.
She sits in bed and thinks about the letter that Adam wrote her.
Adam wanders into Crimson Lights, spots Sharon and nods. He orders a triple shot of espresso and she asks him about his weekend plans.
They chat about things to do with the kids.
He says Connor is busy and he is throwing himself into things as well.
When he won’t explain, she looks concerned.
Nick arrives and orders some lemonade with raspberry syrup. He tells her that he upset Sally and fills her in about Victor suggesting he help Adam at McCall.
Victor is worried he’s about to start a war with the family to deal with his grief.
Nick agreed to think about it. He shouldn’t have told Sally because that set her off. She doesn’t think Adam deserves any help.
Sharon is sure Sally is trying to find some equilibrium after her trauma. They talk about what Adam wants and how he keeps rejecting Victor’s advice. Nick might be able to keep the peace or it could make things worse.
She guesses he wants to do it even though he knows there are lots of reasons it won’t work. They keep pondering this. She asks what he will do.
Adam works in a corner of the jazz and thinks about his last fight with Nick about how he always gets stuck making horrible decisions no one else wants to make. He thinks of the letter he wrote to Sally and how she stood him up.
In the club dining room, Kyle spots Audra and thinks of the note and earrings he sent her.
He meanders over and they smile at each other. He says the earrings look great on her. She thinks they are exquisite and ridiculously extravagant.
Audra adds she received them and the flower in front of his wife.
Kyle’s not concerned. She wonders if he was trying to make his wife jealous but he says she didn’t factor into this at all.
For some reason, she believes him. She appreciates pretty things and “sparkly” is her favorite color.
The flowers really brightened up her suite and he should come up to see them. He’d like that. She likes his indifference to people knowing his business. But she wants to keep things private. Promising not to act suspicious, he will follow her up shortly. She heads upstairs.
Kyle heads up to her suite where she greets him in a robe. He tells her business casual is taking in new meaning. She decides to show off her earrings better by dropping the robe.
After sex, he feels like he’s twenty and in New York again. She says he can be a bad boy anywhere. She admits it felt like she had to give up a lot of herself to be successful. Here they can be carefree.
Audra tells him how magical work is and how excited she is to go to the office in the morning. He recalls when he used to work there and tells her the Newmans aren’t to be trusted.
She reminds him that she runs Newman Media now and she needs a right-hand man. Is he interested?
He gets them water and she pitches the job, adding that Adam is now gunning for them and the company could actually be in peril. They need to swing first and she thinks he’d be the perfect person to help.
Kyle likes the idea of crushing Adam, but his family is making him hesitate.
He’s intrigued by the offer but it’s not made

Comings and goings: Vail Bloom returns
Ashley and Tucker toast to their new business and send out a press release. She’s gleeful about how this will make Jack’s head explode. He deserves the trauma.
Tucker knows she’s been in a righteous fury for months so it will take a while for Jack to catch up to the anger stage.
He can already hear it and starts doing a Jack impersonation, ranting about her and the “flim-flam man.”
She loves that and gets him to do it some more. He thinks it needs a little work.
They chat about Jack’s next stage. Maybe he’ll start bargaining and offering her things.
At the Abbott estate, Jack is furious when he gets a press release. He thinks this is outrageous.
Diane reads the press release about Ashley and Tucker’s new company and refuses to believe it’s real.
He calls a journalist friend and gets a confirmation of this. He can’t believe his sister and Tucker have been building a company.
Diane blames herself but he assures her she’s not to blame. His sister does things that mystify him. They worked hard to get back into a good place after their last falling out.
He blames Tucker for all of this.
They head to Society to corner the couple. Tucker greets them, raising his glass with a smile.
Jack storms over and starts bickering with his sister. He and Tucker step outside.
Tucker tells him that Jabot is just a company, something John understood. He suggests that he should wish his sister well.
Jack accuses him of trying to make his sister’s life as meaningless as his. He’s furious when McCall brings up what Dina did.
He doesn’t believe that Jack really thinks he’s behind all this. Ashley is too tough to be manipulated. The sooner he accepts what she’s really doing, the sooner he’ll be on his journey to acceptance.
Diane asks Ashley what it will take to end this. Ashley is surprised they are already in the bargaining stage.
She gloats that Diane will drive Jabot into the ground. Once she does that, Ashley and Tucker can step in and save it.
That will remind Jack what it means to have a family company. It will also make it clear that Diane is not an Abbott and never will be.
Diane walks out to Jack and he tells her she should never have to deal with his sister treating her like this.
Back Isidee, Tucker says Jack is headed for the depression stage. They toast.

At GCAC, Tucker puts a little blue box on the table with a bow for Ashley. He says it’s their secret weapon and that she can think of it as her wedding gift.
Daniel and Summer sit with Michael at GCAC.
They ask if he has word on their mother.
Michael says, “Brace yourselves, I think she’s ready for a comeback.”
