Wednesday, July 26, Y&R day ahead recap: Lauren encourages Phyllis to listen to Heather, Kyle can’t make his parents’ civil ceremony, and Chelsea and Summer talk about their feelings.
Tuesday’s Y&R day ahead: Audra Urges Nate to Take the Next Step with Victoria, Victor Puts Nate on Notice and Sally Acknowledges Adam’s Loss

Kyle bumps into Summer in Chancellor Park. That’s awkward. They try being polite and talk about all the rocks Harrison has collected. Kyle says that their son is handling the break up. She’s sure it’s hard on him.
Audra interrupts and the women start bickering. Summer says Kyle is in a compromised state and will see it soon. He looks fine to Audra.
Summer accuses him of trying to escape by throwing himself into “whatever this is.” Kyle says this is none of her business.
Summer assumes the other woman is loving this but Audra claims she could not care less. “What are you doing? Don’t destroy your life because of what I did,” Summer tells him before walking off.
Audra says she gets it now. She tells him she went through something like this with Noah, likely the only time she’s been in love. That taught her how dangerous love can be.
Now she focuses only on being selfish because pain is distracted and makes you make mistakes. Kyle can see the logic but isn’t sure he’s ready to live that way.
“Maybe not yet,” she says.
Excited Chelsea joins Billy at Society and tells him about how she has been rocking the problem solving at work.
Thinking of his little pep talk and getting big things done has her more confident than ever.
He’s happy to hear that. She notices he’s distracted. He explains something risky has come up at Jabot. He has to convince Tucker and Ashley he’s on their side. Diane’s plan is for him to become a trojan horse to infiltrate their camp.
Billy is worried that his sister has not been thinking clearly and Tucker would go to any lengths to get what he wants. Going to any lengths to stop this is worth it.
Chelsea asks if he really wants to get in the middle of this. Tucker is a master of mind-games and she’d hate to see Billy stumble back into his old demons.
Summer arrives at Crimson Lights in a huff. Chance encounters her and she admits she just had a bad moment. He says that his son caught him in a bad mood. Putting his fingers on her face, he turns her frown upside down. That’s what his son did for him.
She laughs and they talk about how kids put things in perspective. He’s happy to change her mood whenever she needs it.
Summer appreciates his kindness. When Chelsea arrives, he takes off. They talk about how nice the cop is.
Sitting down, Chelsea prompts her to talk about her feelings. Summer knows she recommended she let go but she still loves Kyle and doesn’t know how to walk away. They were good until they weren’t.
He’s betrayed her with another woman but she can forgive him. How can he not love her back just as much?
Summer just wants to focus on work, not burden her with her problems. They chat about how well Chelsea is working in her new job and how Marchetti will see record growth.
Chelsea tells her that she’s a lot stronger than she gives herself credit for and she’s sure she’ll move on.
At the Abbott estate, Ashley tells Diane to choke on a muffin. Jenkins thinks she’s miffed because all her plans are failing and she’s not used to it. Ashley is confident she will win.
Diane announces that she and Jack are getting married this afternoon. The blonde assumes this quickie wedding is an attempt to sink her claws into her brother for good.
Jenkins says that this all about Jack proving his love for her. She adds that Billy isn’t on board. Ashley never thought he would be the voice of reason.
Calling Diane a “bitch,” she orders her to move on and storms out.

At the GCAC, Phyllis spits Jack making orders for a celebration. He corners her and demands some answers about hw she can show her face in public after the hell she unleashed on her own family.
She claims it was all Stark’s fault but he finds that hard to swallow. Given how much she hates Diane, she can’t have required much coercion.
Phyllis asks for forgiveness but Jack is having none of it. When she claims she will help fix their children’s marriage, he waves his hand saying she’s done enough and walks off.
Tucker comes out from a corner and taunts her about Carson. He doesn’t think she’s working hard enough to get Jack’s forgiveness. Playing with a fork, he wonders if he’s made a mistake making a bargain with her.
She assures him she will get Jack on board. He’s not impressed. These are a lot of empty promises.
She asks what happens if Diane doesn’t care if Jack forgives her. That makes him chuckle. He’ll have to think about it.
After he wanders off, Lauren arrives. Choking up, she admits she’s been afraid to see her because he’s missed her but rages against what she’s done.
Phyllis throws her arms around her, telling her how much she’s missed her and will spend the rets of her life making it up to her.
Lauren tells her she has to listen to Heather and follow whatever she advises.
They sit and talk about being stuck under Tucker’s thumb. Lauren is sure that Jack will come around but Phyllis thinks that she may have killed the soft spot he had for her.
The Fenmore is sure that winning Kyle and Jack back will work in her favor, whatever it means for Tucker. She urges her to focus on what she makes of her life.
Phyllis doesn’t trust McCall and needs some leverage. Her friend understands and tells her to keep Heather in the loop. She’s her best chance at freedom.
They wonder what Tucker’s weak spot could be. Phyllis is sure he’s after Jabot. She needs to “tap into OG Phyllis” one last time to deal with this.
When Jack gets home, Diane is drying her nails and tells him about her run-in with his sister. He doesn’t want his fake fight with Billy to taint their big day but she thinks they can’t wait.
They both want things to be wonderful and stress free going forward. Jack agrees they need to go to the limit to end the war. They snuggle.
Kyle arrives and is shocked when they inform him they are getting married this afternoon. His mom senses he seems “iffy” about this.
Their son has the sense that they are being rushed into this and wonders what it’s really about.
His father explains that he wants to prove to everyone how much he loves Diane. They ask him to celebrate their love.
Checking his phone, he explains that he has meeting all afternoon and evening. He thought they were getting married in September.
His mom asks him to rearrange for today. He can’t, but wishes them well and exits.
Diane worries that their son has been shutting down since his marriage fell apart. Jack agrees that shutting down your heart can push you into making bad decisions.
Tucker joins Ashley in the park. She tells him things have gotten a lot worse. “They tend to do that,” he says.
Billy pops up to announce that Diane and Jack are getting married today. Tucker claims he’s tearing up about it.
Billy says his brother is crossing the line and this rush to the altar has him questioning everything. He thinks Diane is the mastermind behind this and it has him worrying about Jabot.
Thrilled, Ashley hopes he can finally see their brother is an idiot. He thinks this quickie wedding is a big red flag.
Billy rushes over to the Abbott estate to warn his brother about his conversation with Ashley. Seconds later, she arrives with Tucker and Jack asks if they are coming to the civil ceremony.
That makes McCall chuckle. Ashley declares that Billy has finally come over to their side. Jack asks if this is true.
Billy urges his brother to put an end to this now if he really cares about the family.
Kyle joins Audra at Society and complains about all the family drama he’s dealing with. Taking his hands, she asks how she can help. He asks if they can cancel their afternoon meetings and do something alone.
They go to her suite. She takes off his shirt, blindfolds him with his tie, and then climbs on.
Chance finds Summer in the park and asks if she’s okay. She immediately tells him about how bad things are and how she wishes they could go back to the way they were. He says the way out is forward.
