In this episode of CBS’ The Young and the Restless, it’s chaos when Nate makes his big reveal to his family, while Adam intercepts Sally and Nick’s date, and Tucker won’t let Ashley go.
In the previous episode, Elena decided to leave Genoa City, Nate and Victoria reassure one another about their scheme, and Allie snaps at Audra for her passive aggressiveness.

Nate tries to collect himself outside the Chancellor-Winters office.
He goes into the meeting and Lily asks what’s wrong. Nate needs to talk to Devon in private.
Nobody wants to leave so Nate says he’ll tell them all “the truth about me.”
He hasn’t been operating in good faith.
He reveals he’s meeting in secret with a CEO of another company.
He’s shared details including the timetable for the IPO announcement. Everything. “Are you serious?” Billy asks.
Lily asks why he’d do that and Devon asks if this is about him.
Audra asks who the CEO is. Nate ignores her and says he wanted to create an opportunity.
Devon realizes that the person offered Nate the CEO position if they bought them out.
Devon knows he would have sold his interest in the company.
Billy yells that he betrayed his mother, Jill. Nate’s quiet as they get in his face.
Devon still thinks it’s because of him but Nate won’t agree.
He says Devon can think what he wants. “I can’t change that.” Devon can’t believe they supported him while he lied to their face.
He thinks running into Audra was calculated.
Lily tells Audra nobody’s blaming her. She appreciates it. Billy’s sick to his stomach. “I don’t know who you are. Who are you?”
Devon knows this has to be why he and Elena are having issues and why she’s leaving him.
It’s probably because of what she said outside that made him confess.
Lily realizes Nate called it in their best interest to rush the IPO.
Devon asks if he wants to sell out to his father. Nate refuses to out the person but didn’t say it was Tucker.
Devon’s pissed and tells his cousin, “This goes without saying. You’re fired.”
He stomps out and Audra asks for details about what the other company knows.
Nate admits it’s enough for them to make a move.
They just need the date it’s happening. Lily asks Audra to hold off on filling the paperwork until they figure this out. Lily seems hurt and betrayed as she tells him they wanted to pursue so many of his ideas.
If he went through with this, someone else would have pushed them out.
What Katherine, Neil and Devon built would have been taken from them. “Why? Why?!”
She asks. Billy asks how he does this to his family. Nate won’t pretend he can explain his motives to him.
Lily barks, “Then explain it to me!” Nate admits after his injury, he didn’t take to being Chief of Surgery.
He was grateful for their opportunity and threw himself into the job. He felt pride.
He was disconcerted by being shut down by Devon.
Nate didn’t think he was a priority. Lily disagrees with his assessment.
Nate grabbed this opportunity to have his voice heard and respected. It’s the only way he had to prove himself.
Lily says it was a choice and not the only way. She says, “Get out.”
Audra asks if she should keep things in place if they decide to go with the IPO. Lily’s not sure.
Tucker greets Adam at Jabot. He heard about his helicopter entrance.
Adam says Jack’s not around. Tucker thinks it’s fine since he’s there to see Ashley. Adam snorts.
What will that accomplish? Tucker shrugs and thinks it’s good Adam got out from the old man’s thumb.
Adam calls him rich since it’s not like he shows up for Devon. “Did you even know he had a kid?”
Tucker says he did and wants to be a part of their lives.
Adam thinks it’s good, preferable to wasting time with Ashley.
Tucker still loves her. He knows there’s no barrier you wouldn’t try to overcome when you truly love someone.
Once he’s gone, Adam thinks about Sally and kissing her.
He thinks about the good times they shared, the sex and the flowers he bought her.

At home, Traci finds the tea from Japan that Ashley tossed.
Ashley gives it to her. She doesn’t want it. It’s from Tucker.
Traci asks her thoughts on the man after they talked. Is he a changed man?
Ash laughs and calls the man a narcissist. A chronic liar.
A master manipulator. He cheated on her twice, while he was supposed to be in love with her.
She knows it’s no coincidence that he showed up a few months after Diane.
Traci’s shocked that her sis thinks they’re connected.
Traci wants details but Ash has to get to work. Traci yelps, wanting more, but Ash says she has no proof…”Yet.” She goes.
At the park, Nick finds Sally and says he’s been thinking of her.
Has she considered things?
She’s been thinking about what this is between them, and where it’s going.
She asks him for a picnic and skinny dipping.
He repeats her. “Skinny dipping. You vicious, vicious woman!”
How’s he supposed to think of anything else today?
Sally makes it to work and tells Chloe that she and Nick had a talk about what they want with their “wonderful connection.”
She says they decide not to put a label on it and just enjoy it as it comes.
Chloe is diplomatic. She likes Nick.
She’s glad to see Sally happy after what happened.
Sally’s smile falters. Chloe is sorry for bringing Adam up. She’s trying to be diplomatic because she knows this is complicated.
Sally says she’s been open with Nick about her feelings about Adam and the break-up trauma. Nick’s giving her space to sort through her feelings for Adam. He’s not pressuring her.
Chloe thinks it’s got to be refreshing. Nick has compassion and ethics.
He doesn’t want to be someone’s rebound. Later, Chloe gives her a note from Nick inviting her to dinner. She grins wildly. “It’s signed by N.”
Nick arrives at the office once Sally’s gone. Chloe tells him he’s too late. Sally’s already on her way to their romantic invitation.
Nick’s confused. “My what?” Chloe says she read her the note to meet at the rooftop of the Grand Phoenix.
Nick’s baffled.
Ashley arrives at Jabot, startled to see Tucker ambush her.
She’s pissed and tells him to leave her alone.
He tries to talk but she cuts him off and leaves. He follows her as she takes a call.
She tells him she’s annoyed but indifferent toward him. He thinks it’s a facade to cover up the pain.
A love like theirs never dies.
Ashley says it’s easy to stop loving someone when they cheat and try to take over her father’s company.
She doesn’t want to rehash this but he knows that if he changed, she’d listen.
She doesn’t like that he landed his helicopter in her yard.
He agrees it was lame and is glad she wasn’t there to see it. He asks to take her to dinner to show he’s changed.
If she still doesn’t see it, he’ll back off.
Ash has no trust in him. She only sees him as her ex. She finally agrees to dinner at Society.
She’s tired of him stalking her. He scoffs but she tells him clearly that’s what he’s doing.
He’s glad for the shot.
Nate returns home to Elena already packed.
He tells her that he confessed everything to Devon, Lily, and Billy.
He didn’t reveal to them who he spoke with because he just wants this to end.
She asks how it went. He say it was rough and told her how Devon stormed out, Lily was hurt but he say the point is, he did it.
He did it for Elena.
Devon finds Tucker leaving his hotel suite and confronts his father.
He wants the truth.
Did he come here to try to take over his company?
At Society, Ashley drinks as she waits for a late Tucker.
On the rooftop, Sally finds a romantic setting for dinner. A card reads for her to pour the champagne.
She smiles as she does and then looks up, shocked to find Adam, not Nick there with her.
