Wed Oct 11, Y&R day ahead recap: Nate reassures Victoria that he supports her, Nikki and Claire bond some more at the office, and Nick offers to give Sally room.
Tuesday’s Y&R day ahead: Thanks to a tip from Phyllis, Jack discovered the bugged bonsai and decided to use it against Tucker.

Nikki brings Claire to Victor’s office to introduce them.
He welcomes her to the company and jokes that his wife speaks highly of her and that’s rare.
Claire makes it clear how valuable this opportunity is and how much she wants to learn from the best.
Once they step out of there and head into the Newman Media office, Nikki congratulates her on making a good impression.
Claire hopes she came off well.
Audra barges in to talk about a deal. Nikki asks Claire for her thoughts.
Reluctantly, Claire gives her take on how to make the company they are dealing with feel like they’ve won.
Audra eyes up Claire and then thanks her for her insight before taking off.
Nikki admires Claire’s business acumen and tells her to call her “Nikki.” She says she’s tough but fair and sometimes has to move quickly, which may make it seem like she’s barking orders.
Claire has a thick skin and doesn’t take much personally. Nikki says she’s a bit of an old soul.
Claire explains that she grew up in a tough household and her great aunt was strict. She had no siblings.
Nikki senses she doesn’t want to talk about the past.
Audra returns and says that Claire’s tactical suggestion worked. Nikki is pleased and leaves to see finance.
Claire hopes she didn’t cross a line but Audra assures her it’s fine.
She asks how it’s going. This is Claire’s dream job and she hopes she can meet her boss’ expectations.
Audra says it will be an exciting time for all of them.
After Claire heads off to her desk, Audra looks her up online.
In Sally’s suite, she goes on about her plans for her company.
Nick isn’t paying much attention to her discussing before and after shots.
She suggests that he hire her to design his new company’s space.
When she suggests hot ink for the walls, he’s clearly not listening.
Sally guesses he’s thinking about her kiss with Adam.
He’s trying to forget it.
She assures him he has no reason to be paranoid.
He reminds her she admitted her feelings are all over the place and she leapt into telling him she loves him after claiming she wasn’t sure.
She claims she wouldn’t admit to feeling something if it wasn’t true.
The only thing that counts is that she’s honest.
He’s sure Adam was trying to get to her.
She doesn’t care about that and likes to think she’s in control, but Adam is relentless.
Nick doesn’t think his brother would think he could push her buttons if there was nothing there.
She insists her love for Adam is in the past and she just wants to concentrate on the future and their relationship.
Although she and Adam went through a horrible ordeal, she only has empathy with him.
Sharing that with him doesn’t discount her feelings for Nick.
She asks him to believe it when she says she’s falling for him.
He wonders if she just thinks she’s in love with him because it’s safe.
He doesn’t want to dismiss her feelings or make her feel trapped.
Nick hates how his brother has been manipulating them.
Sally thinks Adam if affecting him more than her.
“I can’t go through this again,” Nick announces.
He’s all in and she has to be too.
Sally claims she is but his instincts tell him otherwise. Adam is still the one she has a pull to.
What they had worked for a while but she lost her baby and he couldn’t be there for her while his brother was.
She insists she’s choosing him.
Nick thinks she’s delaying the inevitable.
He can’t be with her while she refuses to see the truth and walks out.
Sally sits and cries.

Adam stops by Society to tell Nate and Victoria that he’s run his errands.
Nate’s impressed but she isn’t.
They’re suspicious about why he’s working so hard.
Adam says if he works hard, they’ll think he’s plotting and if he doesn’t, they’ll think he’s an ingate.
It’s his dream that she will accept him at face value and accept this reformation is real.
Faith and trust would make this easier for him.
Nate says so far so good.
Adam heads back to work.
Victoria asks Nate if he’s falling for her brother’s con.
Nate makes it clear he doesn’t trust her brother but sees no point in antagonizing him.
They just have to let him get comfortable enough to slip up.
That won’t be easy for her. Besides, being nice to Adam doesn’t address the bigger issue: her father.
Nate thought she’d let that go.
It’s hard for her to wait this out. She’s not patient.
Hearing her father being so paternalistic to her has annoyed her. She’s feeling insulted.
He’s not sure she should take this out on her father.
She accuses him of thinking all she does is wrong.
Nate doesn’t want to fight.
Victoria can’t sit by and do nothing.
She’s feeling isolated like no one is on her side.
Nate insists he supports her completely.
Keeping the peace with her father is the best thing to do at the moment.
He repeats that he will be whatever she needs him to be.
He leaves for a conference call and she says she’ll see him later.
She sits and thinks about complaining to her mom about Victor’s strange business moves lately.
He’s not acting like himself.
Before she can leave, Nick walks in.
She asks if he’s spent any time with their father and notices that he’s off his game.
Nick thinks she’s imagining things and is just bitter.
His sister complains she’s feeling isolated, even from Nate.
And she’s missing her mom.
When she repeats her concerns, he asks what he can do.
She asks him to come back to Newman and accuses him of just trying to prove a point.
She doesn’t trust Adam and is scared for their father.
Will he come back?
He won’t come back but he will spend some time with their father.
After she leaves, he gets a beer.
Sally calls but he won’t answer.
Adam stops by his father’s office at Newman.
He admits he doesn’t like his new job but he asked for it.
Victor is surprised he’s sticking to it. They joke about dry cleaning.
His father hopes he doesn’t indulge in his slash and burn habits again.
He’s hate to have wasted his time.
Nate shows up.
Victor tells them to do a good job and accidentally calls Adam “Nick.”
Adam wonders if that’s a joke.
Victor dismisses them.
In the hall, Adam and Nate wonder what that name confusion was about.
Nikki joins them and they fill her in.
She immediately goes to her husband’s office and asks him about the name mix-up.
Victor says it was intentional.
She wonders why.
