Canadian Y&R day ahead recap from the Friday, April 23, 2021 episode, which airs in the USA Monday, April 26. On today’s episode, Nick has dinner with Victoria, who rants about their dad, Amanda and Devon share a pizza and go over her case, while Nick and Phyllis role-play.
In her suite at the club, Amanda looks at her dad’s photo and the text she received from her sister telling her that this won’t end well for her. Devon shows up with pizza and she smiles. “Perfect timing.” He tells her he wants to launch a jazz company called Winters Mood and the proceeds would fund substance abuse programs. She likes that idea and tells him about her dad while showing him a photo. He majored in economics before he worked for Newman. She’s feeling conflicted about dragging his name through the mud. Devon asks if she believes he was a blackmailer. She does, according to the information, she has read. And someone working at Newman could have been responsible for Richard’s death. Devon warns that Victor will fight her. Amanda declares that he’s not the only one. Her half-sister will fight her, too. She has work to do and Devon has to get back to Moses. Devon wants to find creative ways to see her. She likes that idea.
Billy gets dressed in the dark in his suite as Lily sleeps. He takes off and eavesdrops on Phyllis’s call to an insurance adjuster. She tells him she’s an expert in crisis management. She has adopted a smooth attitude and hears them out. Billy says that a free cocktail doesn’t hurt, either. She asks if he has a problem. Billy tells her Victor is his problem. He goes to get a drink and Phyllis tells the bartender and Billy that it’s on the house. He’s grateful. She can’t handle his issue with Victor. She’s made peace with having to steer clear of Victor. Billy doesn’t think it’s possible to do that sometimes. “You’re like a moth to a flame,” she says. She goes and Tara appears. He introduces himself. She remembers the name as a potential buyer for Cyaxares. She asks how Ashland is doing. Her husband made it through surgery, she tells him. Billy heard he was meeting with Victor Newman at the time and understands that Victor pressured Ashland into signing over Cyaxares while he was having a heart attack. Tara thinks he’s asking questions in order to write a story but he says this is off the record. He’s just concerned, he claims. Her sole focus is on her husband’s recovery. Lily walks up and watches the exchange, angrily. When Tara leaves, she confronts her beau. They head upstairs and she tells Billy he’s becoming obsessed. She finds it distasteful that he stopped a woman to discuss Victor and Cyaxares as the woman’s husband is fighting for his life. Lily can see that he still wants Cyaxares and she’s done. She’s going to her room. He tries to convince her to stay but she’s not interested. She goes and he leaves her a romantic message.
From her room, Tara asks Kyle to meet.

At Society, Victoria sits with Nicholas. She has no ulterior motive in asking him out. She just wants to know how her brother is. He says he’s fine as is Faith. He shares the news about the bully and how Moses Winters came to her rescue. Victoria didn’t know Moses was in town. Victoria tells him about the Cyaxares news. Nicholas finally realizes why his sister invited him. To rant about Dad. Victoria reluctantly admits she does want to talk to someone who knows what it’s like to deal with their father and his expectations. “Or not living up to them,” Nick says. Victoria admits she wanted to be as relentless as him and pushed the envelope too far. Nick knows she’s talking about Phyllis. Victoria hopes to put it in the past and fix what’s broken. Nick calls their relationship bent, not broke. He shows her a photo of Christian. She grins and shows him a photo of her kids with a puppy. Nick hopes that her feud with their dad doesn’t hurt the kids. She won’t. She is only interested in moving Newman into the future. She’s done with Dad. Nick knows it can’t be that easy. They dine and Nick admits he kicks himself for not going far enough with business. Victoria admits her dream of running the company was to impress Dad but she’s now proud of her accomplishments. He dryly tells her he loves it and makes a toast.

At home, Nikki tells Victor she saw Faith today. He’s glad to learn how well she’s doing. Nikki’s upset at how badly things are going for him and Victoria. Victor wants her to smooth things out but Nikki reminds him he asked her to stay out of it. He rants about Victor and Victoria marrying such a loser. Nikki shrugs. He’s the father of her children. Victor rants about how Ashland came to renegotiate the terms of his agreement. “You don’t do that with me!” Nikki says she wasn’t there for that but she saw that Ashland was having a heart attack and he was just standing there. They argue about Victoria and Adam and Nikki just wants the fighting to stop. She goes to bed and some dude appears and tells Victor he can’t find Adam anywhere. Vic orders him to contact his friends in Los Vegas and tell Michael Baldwin he wants to see him first thing in the morning.
Elena arrives at Crimson Lights. She sees Nate. He’s up late reading about some patient’s unusual symptoms. She calls his dedication to his patients unmatched. That’s how he feels about her. Elena tells him Mrs. Weatherly gets to go home tonight. Her son is coming from Chicago to get her. Nate’s happy to hear that. He goes and she texts Lola to see a movie. When she doesn’t hear back she takes off.
Back at Society, Nick and Victoria say hi to Nate on their way out. Nick thanks him for Moses being so kind to Faith. Later, Nate sees Lola. They talk about how much he dines there. He says if she put a TV in and played baseball games, he’d be in there non-stop. She banters with him about disliking his team. They talk about baseball and Elena and she promises not to intervene in his love life again. He doesn’t see that as being a problem since he has none. Lola says that won’t last. Guys like him are snapped up fast.

He tells her his name is Don. She asks if he’s there for the insurance convention. He’s immediately bored, so she says they can talk about other things. She tells him her name is Linda and she owns the hotel. “Now that’s impressive. Sexy, too.” Later, Nick admits he doesn’t find the name Linda sexy. And when roleplaying, you can’t go with your own name! Phyllis just likes being her. So does Nick. They talk about Faith’s problems then Adam being gone, and then Nick reverts to being Don. He says Don loves Linda and he’ll tell her that upstairs as many times as she wants. She goes with him to their room.
Lily received Billy’s message and arrives at his room in a dressing gown. She came for those three little words. “I was wrong,” he says. She finds that hot. He pushes her against the wall and they make out.
