Tuesday, April 27, 2020: On today’s full episode recap of Days of our Lives, in Days Friday recap – Philip took Gabi to bed. In today’s episode, Belle is out on bail, Hope is found, and Jan comes across Nicole.
At home, John and Marlena discuss Belle’s arrest. It’s in the news and John’s beside himself. Marlena reminds him that what he remembered doesn’t prove she did it. John begs to differ. “I saw Belle pull the trigger.”
In the square, Nicole’s reading about Belle’s arrest when Jan stops by her table. “Why aren’t you behind bars for kidnapping Belle?” Nicole asks. Jan tells Nic about her deal with Belle. They discuss Belle’s arrest and Nicole doesn’t think killing Charlie in cold blood seems like Belle. Jan flashes to killing Charlie and looks disturbed by the memory. Jan lets Nicole know she’s a new person. She claims to think Belle did it and approves of it since one less rapist in the world is a good thing. Nicole doesn’t approve of murder. Jan tells Nicole that she and Claire are friends, which surprises Nicole. Jan says she felt like she could have killed him herself after he terrorized her Claire. Cours she couldn’t have since she was still in a coma. Nicole encourages Jan to “slip back into that coma.” Jan reminds Nicole that she tried to kill Victor Kiriakis. She shouldn’t judge. Nic was a different person then. “So was I,” Jan says, remembering she helped Nicole. They talk about Rafe and Jan accuses Nicole of being in love with him. Nicole denies it and Jan toddles off. Nicole reads the news and sees that Rafe didn’t make a comment on Belle’s news. She stares at the photo.

Claire rushes into Belle’s arms at home, glad she made bail. Claire blames herself for all of this. She thinks Belle shot him to protect her. Belle says that’s not what happened. She never left that night, and she didn’t do it. She has no idea how a button from her coat wound up at the crime scene.

Shawn arrives at the hospital to see Ciara. She’s glad Belle’s on bail and to hear that he found Mom. Ciara’s thrilled. Hope is in Morocco. She was looking for Ciara. She got into a jam, which is why she couldn’t contact them sooner. She’s on the way to the airport and will be in Salem tomorrow. Ciara tells Shawn that she’s moving to South Africa today with Theo. Meanwhile, Ben arrives by the hub and asks Theo to find a way to make Ciara stay in Salem. Theo argues that this isn’t what Ciara wants. Theo relays concerns that if he does, Ben will keep harassing her. Ben is sorry for coming on too strong but she’s his wife. He vows to back off if Theo asks her to stay in Salem. If she leaves, Ben says he’ll feel like this is over. Theo reminds Ben this is Ciara’s choice, but he won’t talk her out of it. Ben asks for a few days, a little time. Theo knows this has been hell for him but he can’t deceive Ciara by trying to get her to stay. He thinks Ben’s clinging to something that doesn’t exist anymore. He suggests ben let her go and then he leaves. In Ciara’s room, Shawn tells his sister he doesn’t think she should leave. He’s spent time with Ben and he was dedicated and determined to find her. Ciara has heard it all before. She yells that he needs to stop trying to convince her that they belong together. She needs to be someplace where he can’t come after her whenever he wants. Ciara shares that Ben tried to inject him with Dr. Rolf’s memory serum. Shawn’s shocked and sorry. He’ll talk to him. Still, he asks her to stay a few more days to say goodbye. Ciara refuses. She called their grandparents to tell them goodbye already. Rafe’s the last one on her list. Shawn will miss her more than he can say. They embrace and Ciara says she feels the same. Shawn agrees to call Hope to meet in Johannesburg. Later, Ciara calls Rafe with her news. He’s stunned and they say their goodbyes and their I love yous.
At his house, Rafe’s thrilled to learn Hope’s on her way home tomorrow. Ava’s happy to hear this. She asks if there’s more to his happiness. He admits he and Hope were getting closer again but he had to go away and then Ciara went missing and Hope took off to find her. She wasn’t ready to be with him. Ava can understand that. They make dinner together as they talk and Ava asks about Belle’s case. Rafe says that Belle tells him that she wasn’t at the scene of the crime and he believes her. After Ciara calls, Rafe is obviously shaken up but Ava encourages him not to pretend he’s okay. He realizes something always comes between him and Hope. Ava listens and they get close and share a passionate kiss.
Belle tells John and Marlena that Shawn hired Justin as her lawyer. All they have is the button as evidence, so they feel good about the case being thrown out. John blurts out that he was at Charlie’s and saw her shoot him. Belle freaks out, shocked at what he’s accusing her of. Did he see her face? John didn’t. They ponder that. Belle believes she was set up. “I know who did it.”

Ben visits Claire to commiserate over Ciara leaving town. Claire’s really upset and Ben says he has a plan. “You’re gonna help me, Claire.” He wants to kidnap Ciara and take her to the cabin. Claire knows this will traumatize Ciara and yells that he can’t do this. Ben wants to get Ciara’s good memories back. He believes she knows how much they love each other. When Claire refuses, Ben says he’ll do it on his own. He storms off.
Jan stops by SPD to see Shawn. He’s not happy to see her.
Back at the hospital, Theo and Ciara are ready to leave Salem. He tells her there’s no rush. They can leave next week, but she’s ready now. Ben turns up…
