Tues Oct 27, Y&R day ahead recap: Mamie wants Nate back at the family company, Kyle notices how united Jack and Billy are, and Tucker asks Phyllis what she’s after.
Monday’s Y&R day ahead: Phyllis threatened to expose Tucker’s link to Mamie and Audra asked Kyle to join her alliance with Tucker to get Jabot.

Nate joins Mamie at the jazz lounge for a drink.
He says her return is a cause for celebration. She’s not sure everyone would agree.
Mamie asks him what’s really going on at Newman.
She heard there was a shake-up.
Why does he want to be part of the chaos?
He thought she would wait before trying to lure him back to Chancellor-Winters.
His cousins don’t want him there.
She says time and can work wonders.
Nate doesn’t want to be somewhere he isn’t valued and is under suspicion.
His aunt is determined to change his mind.
She urges him not to second guess what she can accomplish and she’s determined to bring the family back together.
He reminds her there’s a reason they aren’t close anymore and he takes responsibility for his role in that.
They rehash him joining Newman and getting close to Victoria.
He talks about their “synchronicity” and aligned priorities.
Nate is happy at Newman.
She says he’ll always be an outsider.
Even if he married Victoria he’ll never have true power.
He says she keeps talking like Jill isn’t involved at Chancellor-Winters.
That makes her laugh.
“Things change, honey,” she says.
He complains about how conservative Devon was and his aunt points out that Jill doesn’t do much at the company.
Mamie thinks they could be a “new power generation” if they got rid of Jill.
When she makes this happen, will he be in?
After getting her another drink, he asks if she’s planning a coup.
She’s sure Jill will lose interest but he’s sure she will fight to keep her place.
Maybe she just needs a new man?
She’s had her time in the sun and knows it.
Nate suspects she’s plotting.
She plays innocent and asks him to consider her offer to come back to the family company.
He repeats he’s happy. She doesn’t take that as a no.
Nate will think about it but doubts he will ever get close to his cousins again.
In Tucker’s suite, Phyllis asks him why he’s not getting snarky.
He pours a drink instead and says she’s entertaining.
She badgers him about his secret connection to Mamie and claims she’s the fly in his ointment.
McCall dismisses all of this but she’s sure Jill and Devon would be suspicious about this.
She asks if he’s planning to take over his son’s company.
He asks what she thinks she knows.
Phyllis has been digging into his online activities and knows he put money into Mamie’s company and she invested into Chancellor-Winters.
She’s sure he’s using Mamie to go after his son’s company.
Tucker is sarcastic and suggests she find a hobby.
She threatens to talk to Devon and he asks what she’s after.
Phyllis claims she just wants to be left alone.
Audra shows up. Tucker smiles. Phyllis and Audra start bickering.
The redhead calls her a predator and a user.
Audra comes in anyway and Phyllis accuses her of ruining her daughter’s marriage.
Audra puts the blame for that on Phyllis.
Declaring that it’s late, Tucker prompts Phyllis to go and assures her they have an understanding.
Once she’s gone, Audra asks him what the understanding is and isn’t thrilled he has a connection to a troublemaker like Phyllis who could be a threat to their plans.
Tucker asks if they are a team again. She confirms it.
Newman Media isn’t a solid bet anymore.
Reporting to Nikki is a drawback and she hired an infuriating assistant.
She’s clearly a climber.
McCall suggests she’s jealous.
Audra has no energy in a power struggle for Nikki’s favor.
He’s sure she would lose.
They chat about her coming back and she admits that she’s getting close to luring Kyle into betraying his family.
He says she’s good but shouldn’t get ahead of herself.
“That would be a big step for little Kyle,” he says.
She explains she offered a place by her at Jabot.
He thinks she may have overplayed her hand but she thinks Kyle is feeling slighted.
She’s sure Kyle is prime for a reset because he’s as ambitious as they are.

At the Abbott estate, Jack notes Kyle seems off.
Kyle downplays it.
Jack and Billy tell him about the bugged bonsai tree and their plans to use damaging information against Tucker.
They’ve tried using it to get him to back off but that failed so they plan to expose him.
Kyle points out that might just start a war.
They tell him what a threat Tucker is and how much he’s entertained by causing trouble.
Billy hates him more every day.
Jack is sure they can get through this if they stick together as a family.
Kyle points out they have Tucker to thank for pushing them past their differences.
Jack wants the whole family pulling together.
After Jack tells his brother they will act in the morning, Billy exits.
Jack asks his son if he has his support.
They start arguing about his return to Jabot.
Kyle is only interested in one position but his father points out that’s not going to happen right now.
Diane and Traci wander in and Kyle abruptly walks off.
The ladies note how “frosty” he was.
Jack explains his son is feeling slighted.
After Diane leaves, Traci asks her brother about all the tension.
He feels like his son is making bad decisions.
She suspects Kyle is just lashing out.
Jack wants what’s best for his son but can’t give him what he wants because it would mean pushing Billy out.
Traci is sure her nephew can understand that and suspects his son is more concerned about what he thinks of him.
As Kyle gets coffee at Crimson Lights, he flashes back to Audra trying to convince him to join her alliance with Tucker to run Jabot.
Diane follows him in, worried that he’s feeling confused and frustrated about his place at Jabot.
He’s sure his dad and Billy won’t let go of their connection.
She assures him his dad loves him.
Kyle gets it and understands why the siblings want to work together.
It would be selfish of him to take that away.
His mom thinks that’s generous and wonders what it means for his future.
He explains he got an offer but isn’t sure it’s a move he wants to make.
Diane would hate to see him choose that over his family.
But she won’t talk him out of it. He needs to take his own path, as long as it doesn’t lead back to Audra.
Losing it, he tells her to stay out of his private life and insists he can hang out with whoever he wants.
Audra let him process his stuff and didn’t tell him how to feel.
She’s smart and fun.
Diane thinks there’s more to her than that.
He thinks he could learn a thing or two from Audra and takes off.
Kyle returns to the Abbott estate. Standing in the foyer, he eavesdrops on Traci and Jack.
Jack thinks that he’s given his son more than he deserved.
He didn’t have to spend the necessary time climbing.
He’s been reflecting on his son and his sense of entitlement.
He keeps making bad decisions and his regrets are always half-hearted.
Traci asks what his son really deserves.
Jack thinks he needs to step from the ground up, even if he’s not happy about it.
“It’s time for a reset,” Jack says.
Kyle nods to himself and steps outside, texting Audra to say they need to talk.
At his suite, Audra shows Tucker the text and says she’s gotten through to Kyle.
He tells her to proceed with caution. She’s sure she’s in total control.
McCall suggests she’s going into this with a blindspot and suggests she may be falling for this guy.
The last thing he wants is for their plans to be derailed because of feelings.
She reminds him of Ashley but he insists she doesn’t figure into any of this.
Tucker goes downstairs and bumps into Mamie.
They smile at each other and he tells her to have a good night.
