Tues Dec 19: Today on Young and Restless, Kyle tells Jack that he tricked Tucker into exposing his plan, Tucker offers Phyllis a job, and Victoria and Cole help Claire settle into the psychiatric hospital.
Monday’s recap: Jordan stalked Nikki at the ranch and Cole and Victoria got confirmation that Claire is their daughter.

At the ranch, Nikki takes a swig from her flask.
She’s startled when she turns around and sees Jordan mocking her at the window.
She yells for Victor.
He runs in. “Baby?” he asks.
Nikki claims she was just startled by something at the window and asks for some water.
After he hands her some, he suggests they go on vacation.
She recalls they were supposed to go to Paris.
He’d love that and hugs her, saying he doesn’t want her to worry about a damn thing.
She says they can’t fly off while Victoria is dealing with everything and Jordan is on the loose.
Shaking, she glances at the window.
When she’s alone for a moment, Nikki hides her flask in her purse and takes a breath mint.
Victor returns with her coat and suggests they go out.
When she bats him away from her purse, he wonders if she’s hiding something.
She tells him it’s Christmas and not to snoop.
At the psychiatric hospital, Victoria and Cole tell Claire that learning she is their daughter is a shock to them.
She’s sure it must bring up some feelings for her too and assures her they always wanted her.
They’re sorry for doubting her when she told them at the lake house.
They thought they were going to die at the time.
Claire says they might have without ever knowing she’s really their daughter.
Victoria can see things from her perspective and how she was manipulated by her aunt.
Cole assures her that she was wanted and loved and his aunt did something horrible.
Victoria doesn’t know what the future looks like for the three of them.
It will take time to process it but they will be there for her.
They also need her help finding Jordan and learning what she has planned next.
Claire is clueless about what her aunt has planned.
She disappeared, tossing her aside like a piece of trash.
Her parents tell her she’s not garbage.
Claire is feeling pretty lousy after being used her whole life.
Jordan may have wanted revenge on the Newmans but she’s the only one whose ended up paying.
Looking into her room, she wonders if she’s insane.
Claire sits on her bed and her mom says they just want her to work through her feelings and get better.
She asks what they would have done if they’d found out she was alive as a baby.
Her mom says they would have done whatever it takes to bring her home.
They can’t go back but they can make things better.
Claire doesn’t know how to let it all go.
She’s not sure she can feel anything other than hate.
Cole doesn’t believe that.
Victoria says it won’t be easy but they need to help her heal.
Victoria leaves to handle some paperwork.
Claire remarks that her mom seems kind.
She doesn’t know how to read her dad though.
He’s not sure what’s on his mind now. It’s mostly guilt.
He grew up with a mentally ill mother.
She hid it most of the time but would occasionally be set off.
He never wanted his child to grow up dealing with that.
Someone can have a lot of problems and you can still love them.
All of this is because of his mother and he hates that Claire had to grow up feeling unwanted because nothing is further from the truth.
She can’t help wonder what their lives might have been.
Victoria returns and says that the hospital wants them to go so Claire can see the doctors.
Awkwardly, she asks her daughter for a hug.
Claire allows it and cries.

Disguised Jordan checks into the GCAC and takes off her big black hat.
She disguises herself as a nurse, gets a key card and puts on some glasses before she takes off.
Cole and Victoria have drinks at the GCAC.
She wonders why he has been so silent.
He talks about all that Jordan has done to their daughter.
They worry about all the pain she’s in.
Victoria thinks that Jordan is pure evil and needs to be held responsible.
She spots her parents arriving and is too exhausted to deal with this.
Victor and Nikki approach and they update each other.
Nikki invites them to dinner but they are still processing.
Jordan walks in and spots them all.
Once her parents walk off, Cole tells Victoria they sure love her.
He’s touched by how concerned they are.
He guesses that’s how a real family works.
Neither of them knows how to feel about all this.
She knows he has a life outside of Genoa City.
He says that this has thrown a wrench into all that.
He’s not going anywhere.
Disguised Jordan sneaks into Claire’s room in the psychiatric hospital.
At the Abbott estate, Diane doesn’t understand why Jack is hesitant to give Kyle his old position back.
They argue about Billy.
She says his brother has let him down again and Kyle is the only choice.
He’s not ready to just hand it to his son, who doesn’t seem ready for it.
She knows he was upset by their son’s arrogance and sense of entitlement but she thought he’d shown more maturity since then.
If he skips over him again, it may send a bad message.
Jack repeats that they have bigger concerns than Kyle’s feelings and they aren’t a good reason to give him a Co-CEO position.
He appreciates how she cares for their son but they are about to launch an offensive against Tucker.
She tells her husband that their son has important news for him.
He calls his son down and Diane leaves them to it. Jack asks his son how he feels about Billy’s resignation.
Kyle is more interested in how his dad feels and they talk about how disappointing it is.
Jack is a little upset about being left vulnerable.
His son explains that Tucker recruited him to help Audra take over Jabot.
Kyle explains that he was just pretending to be a spy.
His father wants to believe that but he has some doubts.
Kyle claims his plan worked and he now knows Tucker’s plan.
Jack has to sit down.
They argue about trust. Kyle just wanted to prove how devoted he is to the family….unlike Billy.
His father thinks this was all dangerous.
Kyle explains that Tucker wanted him to steal a new product and then frame him as the mole.
Jack sighs and rubs his head as his son swears he did all this to him.
Finally, Jack says he’s glad he did this.
He saved them all.
Kyle is convinced that he has McCall totally snowed.
Tucker underestimated what it means to be Jack Abbott’s son.
Kyle realized that family means everything to him.
Jack can’t believe that Tucker didn’t know what he was up against.
His son suggests they exploit this, give Tucker some product they shelved and then nail him for corporate theft after he breaks the bank trying to launch it.
Then they can launch the smear campaign and destroy him.
Jack explains that half an hour ago he wasn’t going to give Kyle the Co-CEO spot, but now he’s changing his mind.
However, they have to play it like he’s still out in the cold to keep the wool over Tucker’s eyes.
At the club, Phyllis sends Danny a text, offering to buy her a drink.
Tucker startles her by offering to buy her a drink.
She wants him to go away but he has a proposition for her.
Phyllis recalls that didn’t work out for her last time.
He needs someone for his IT department.
She has a job. He reminds her that it’s pretty low level for her.
She’s astounded he’s doing this. Why would he trust her?
He believes in hiring the best, even if he thinks they will stab him in the back.
“I wouldn’t work for you if you were the last guy on the planet,” she says.
He writes a figure on a napkin and confirms that’s one year’s salary. She asks what he’s up to.
McCall says he needs an internet security system because he’s getting a very sensitive product.
Phyllis won’t take the first offer.
He says she knows where he’ll be and walks out.
