In the Friday, April 22, 2022, full episode recap of CBS’ Bold and the Beautiful, Brooke and Taylor continue to debate how to handle Steffy’s memory loss, Ridge wants Sheila to go away, and Steffy just wants to go home with her family.
We also have Thursday’s B&B recap where Liam played along with Steffy’s illusions while Brooke accuses Taylor of exploiting the situation.
At the hospital, Steffy tells Liam and Kelly how good it feels to be close to her family. She promises never to be away from them again. Liam rubs his beard. Hope watches from the window and sighs.
Bridget interrupts Hope to give her a hug and tell her how proud she is of her. The doctor joins the little family so she can examine Steffy. Liam carries Kelly out and Steffy repeats that she will be home soon so they can all be together again.
Alone with the patient, Bridget encourages her to rest. Steffy thinks she would heal faster at home with her husband and daughter. She keeps repeating this. Bridget tells her to take things one step at a time.
In the waiting room, Taylor can hardly believe that Brooke is accusing her of taking advantage of Steffy’s memory loss to drive a wedge between Hope and Liam. Taylor will not risk her daughter’s recovery and is appalled by this accusation.
Brooke is sorry for what she’s going through but doesn’t know how she can let her daughter live in a fantasy world. It’s wrong. The doctor explains Steffy needs a buffer. Brooke thinks that Taylor should take on that role herself instead of burdening Hope and Liam with it.
Hope arrives and tells them that Steffy is having family time with “her husband… my husband.” She fills them in on Kelly being there and worries about how this could be confusing her.
Liam joins them after leaving Kelly with Amelia. He admits his daughter may be a little confused. Brooke voices her issues with Liam pretending to be Steffy’s husband. So does he and he thanks Hope for her superhuman patience.
Brooke demands that someone tell Steffy the truth. This situation is taking too much of a toll on her daughter. Taylor points out that this has hardly been happening for more than an hour.
Taylor repeats that Steffy cannot process what happened. They get that. Hope worries this could go on for years. Something has to remind her that she was married to Finn. Taylor knows this is not sustainable, but she won’t let anyone do anything to cause her to have a setback.
Bridget joins them and Brooke asks if Steffy is too fragile to handle the truth. The doctor says it would be best if she remembered on her own. Liam asks his wife to hang in a little longer. “Yeah, sure,” says Hope.
Bridget suggests that Baker may be able to get through to Steffy.
