In the Friday, April 15, 2022, full episode recap of CBS’ Bold and the Beautiful, news spreads that Steffy is awake, Bridget says her recovery is going well, and Sheila is moved by Taylor’s gesture.
We also have Thursday’s B&B recap where Ridge tried to get Steffy to remember what happened and Sheila tried to stop it..
In Steffy’s hospital room, she groans as her parents ask if she can remember who shot her. “Anything at all?” Ridge pushes. “Ruh…rah…odder…dodder,” Steffy mutters, her eyes fluttering. Sheila is on pins and needles.
Ridge keeps urging his daughter to talk. She gestures with her hand. Sheila suggests they leave her alone to recover but Thomas thinks she wants to tell them something. “Need water,” Steffy finally says.
After she sips some through a straw, she shakes her head to say she doesn’t remember anything. Sheila can hardly suppress her smile.
In the hall, Hope tells Zende, Liam, and Paris that they all have reason to hope now that Steffy is awake. Liam isn’t surprised and glad she’s been given another chance. Paris says Steffy is ferocious. She and Zende hug.
After Hope gets off the phone with Brooke, she says her mom is beyond thrilled by the news but is trying to stay respectful of Steffy’s family and keep her distance. Paris wonders what Steffy knows.
Zende calls the office to tell them the good word about Steffy. Thomas wanders by. He says his sister is out of it but she asked for water.
Zende asks how her parents are doing and Thomas says everyone can use more positive energy. Steffy may have won the battle, but there’s still a war. They can only hope there won’t be more surprises.
Thomas says his sister would want them all to keep their chins up. Zende adds everyone in the office was celebrating when they heard she was awake.

Back in Steffy’s room, Ridge and Taylor wonder if they should get their daughter some ice pops. She encourages her daughter to relax and stay calm. The doctor assures her she is getting excellent care.
Bridget enters with a nurse and checks on her. Steffy knows she was shot. Taylor wonders if she’s repressed the memory of the event itself. Bridget says she might never remember or it could come back all at once. Her brain is fatigued and they should give her some rest.
Sheila returns to looking anxious. Taylor wants whoever did this to be held accountable. But right now she’s just thrilled that her daughter is awake.
Bridget explains that Steffy is stable at the moment and improving. She’s responding so well to treatment. Taylor thinks Finn would be happy to know his wife was being cared for by such a great doctor.
Taylor and Ridge go into the hall hugging. Sheila reminds them that Steffy is still touch and go. Ridge tells Taylor he made a deal with the guy upstairs and she tells him they have been blessed.
In his bones, Ridge can feel everything is okay. She worries about how they will break the news about Finn. Remembering Sheila is there, he wishes her peace and calm dealing with her son’s death but it’s time for her to go.
Taylor says that she can stay. She’s the grandmother of Steffy’s child and belongs there. Sheila nearly cries. Turning to Taylor, he tells her that Sheila is not part of their family. She can mourn Finn on her own and Steffy wouldn’t want her there.
Taylor says Steffy would want her there if he knew what just happened. She explains that Sheila nearly killed herself but in the process, ended up saving her life after she fell off the roof.
“I wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for her,” she says. Ridge turns and look at Sheila and then back to Taylor. Sheila just stares at the window into Steffy’s room.
Liam and Hope pay Steffy a visit while she sleeps. They are sure she’ll be back to her old self in no time. Taking her hand, he assures her that the kids are okay and being looked after. He asks her to keep fighting the good fight.
After they leaves, Steffy opens her eyes.
