In the Thursday, January 27, 2022, full episode recap of CBS’ Bold and the Beautiful, Sheila eavesdropped, trying to get an earful, and Brooke continued to ruminate. We also have Wednesday’s B&B recap where Katie quizzed Carter about what’s going on with him and Grace wondered why Paris refused to stay in a committed relationship with Zende, while Douglas spilled Brooke’s secret to everyone.
Liam gets Hope breakfast and a kiss since the kids are sleeping in. He knows yesterday was stressful, talking about her mother making out with Deacon.
Hope admits it’s a lot for her to wrap her brain around. She doesn’t want anything to jeopardize her mom’s relationship with Ridge. Liam wonders how she truly feels.
She’s taken it into herself as her own problem and wonders how she can help. Liam blames Deacon since he didn’t try to stop things. Hope points out that her mom is married and neither should have allowed it to happen.
She gets why Brooke doesn’t want him around anymore. Liam wonders if he wants to break up her marriage. Hope’s off to see her dad.
She admits maybe if she was younger and the circumstances were different, she would like it. She hasn’t let herself go there because she’s mostly concerned about her mom.
She’s glad for her husband’s support. They agree Deacon obviously has a thing for Brooke but Liam wonders if this is Deacon’s endgame. Maybe it’s why he’s been so eager to get close to her? Neither hope that’s the case.
Brooke paces her living room and ruminates on hanging out with and waking up with Deacon on New Year’s. Ridge arrives with coffee and she lets him know she’s reliving that night. “It still haunts me.”
Ridge reminds her this is only temporary. They hug. She’ll come out of this stronger than ever, he predicts. She’s been going to meetings and talking to her sponsor.
She also took full responsibility though once again, she can’t figure out why she did it. Ridge reminds her nothing that she did isn’t unforgivable. “You didn’t betray me or lie to me.” He wants her to try to move past it. This isn’t productive. He reminds her how hot she is.
She’s his loyal wife that he can’t keep his hands off of. He wants her to focus on that, on being a mother and a creator and tells her to move on. They kiss and embrace again.

At the bar at Il Giardino, Deacon flashes to professing his love for Brooke as he sets up the table with bread sticks. Sheila swans on in. “We’re closed. Bank holiday,” he says.
She congratulates him on keeping his job and claps her hands. He rolls his eyes. She tells him she’s trying to reach out but he changed his number. She thinks his disappearance has something to do with Brooke.
Sheila stares at champagne bottles and thinks of destroying Brooke’s life. She asks Deacon how his new year’s is coming along since it started out so promising. Deacon cleans the bar and ignores her.
He says he isn’t really spending a lot of time with them. He claims he’s slammed at work, and looks unhappy. He calls her nosy and she asks if someone woke up on the wrong side of the cot.
She invites him to stay with her at the hotel. She misses his chats. He sneers. “Oh, I bet.” She brings up him being head over heels with Brooke but Deacon refuses to discuss Brooke with her. She’s married, anyway. Sheila taunts him, knowing he has got it bad for Brooke.
Sheila won’t let it go and he tells her to stay out of it. When Hope turns up, he orders Sheila to go. She leaves, unseen. Hope says she’s missed her dad. He feels the same.
She came to tell him she knows what happened between him and her mom New Year’s Eve. Sheila listens from her table as they talk. Deacon clarifies she egged him on and they drank together.
She isn’t blaming him but finds it all confusing. She asks what triggered the drinking. He doesn’t know. She brings up the kissing and asks how that happened and what he was thinking. “We were drunk,” he says.
Sheila gets frustrated when people walk by her table and the chatter gets a little louder. Meanwhile, Hope says Brooke’s terrified that Ridge will find out. Hope doesn’t want him to exploit her or undermine their marriage.
