In the Thursday, October 14, 2021, full episode recap of Bold and the Beautiful, Ridge can’t help but harass Quinn about her marriage, Katie pressures Eric to explain why he lets Quinn have sex with Carter, and Thomas and Paris celebrate. Ridge finds Quinn in the office working on pairing jewelry for Steffy on a sketch. He closes the door. They need to talk. She thought she said all that she had to say. Ridge doesn’t want to hear the sordid details of her marriage. He thinks Eric needs protection from her. Quinn reminds him that it was Eric’s idea. They didn’t even want to go along with it. Ridge points out that they could have said no. Quinn loves Eric and won’t deny she has feelings for Carter, too. “No shame?” Ridge asks. She asks if it’d make this any less offensive. He shakes his head and thinks she does whatever she wants while his dad sits at home. Quinn thinks her connection to Eric isn’t any different than his is to Brooke. “Be careful,” Ridge warns. Quinn tells him she’s not the one making Eric feel bad about himself. She excuses herself to go home to her husband.

At Eric’s manse, he and Katie drink iced tea and she tells him it means a lot to her that he can talk about his marital issues with Quinn. She cherishes that part of their friendship but admits she still has problems with Quinn and Carter. Eric knows that it’s hard for anyone outside the situation to understand. He knows it’s unusual. Katie reminds him Quinn is “sleeping with another man.” Eric retorts that she’s not cheating. He encouraged them to be together. Katie pressures him. “Why? Why Eric?” She asks if deep down, does he really love Quinn? Quinn turns up and scoffs at seeing Katie there. Eric defends Katie, who can come around whenever she wants. Katie admits she just cares about Eric’s happiness. She’s just wondering if Quinn can say the same thing. Quinn kicks her out and Eric reassures his wife that he’d never let anyone talk down about her. Quinn reveals that Ridge gave her an earful at the office. Quinn loves Eric and is so confused about what happened but she needs to know this hasn’t damaged their marriage. Her feelings for him is all that matters to her. She, like everyone else has issues understanding this. She tells him being his wife is the greatest gift.

At his apartment, Thomas tells Paris that he wanted this condo so bad. “It was mine,” he says, gesturing wildly. Paris remarks, “And now it’s not. I’ll just take my things and go.” She believes there’s a better place for him. She moves to call her friend to tell her she’s staying but Thomas says she already signed the sublet agreement. They go back and forth about whether she should move out. Thomas can stay with his dad or his sister. Paris will agree to stay if he stays there as well. It has two bedrooms and Douglas is already familiar with it. “I insist,” she tells him since he refuses to tear up the sublet agreement. Thomas relents. He’s a good chef and roommate. He admits it’ll be nice to have company if she stays.

Ridge goes to Carter’s. He’s surprised to see the Forrester. Ridge says, “Were you expecting your girlfriend? Oh sorry. Were you expecting my dad’s wife?” Ridge can barely talk to Carter and reminds the man they used to be best friends. Carter’s sorry he feels that way and can see his friend is shocked. Ridge says if Carter doesn’t think this is messed up, they’ve nothing else to talk about. “I’m not trying to berate you, Carter.” He asks how he could do this to his dad. Carter says they originally said no to Eric who wouldn’t let it go. “Her satisfaction is the only thing that mattered to him.” He asks what Quinn did to him. Carter tells Ridge that nobody is to blame. “You’re a grown man, you can make your own decisions,” Carter says that’s not fair. Ridge tells him he could have come to him to salvage their relationship. Ridge blames Carter for his relationship breakdown with Eric. “And now my dad’s barely talking to me.”
