In the Thursday, September 1, 2022, full episode recap of CBS’ Bold and the Beautiful, Liam and Brooke worry about Thomas, Hope pays Douglas and his father a visit, and Li and Finn discuss what they went through.
We also have Wednesday’s B&B recap where Ridge got in the middle of a paint fight as Hope admitted she was worried about Thomas’ intentions.
At Deacon’s, he warns “Stumbeldore” not to trip. As they make jokes about Sheila’s severed toe, they chat about the disturbing lengths she will go to.
She starts talking about Finn and how much she wants to see him getting strong and healthy. He warns her not to go looking for him. She reminds him she has a disguise.
He points out it only worked on him because he was drunk and it barely worked on Hope. His phone is low and he has to get to work.
She assures him she won’t do anything stupid to wind up back in prison. She’s confident her disguise is great and Hope is clueless.
Once again, Deacon urges her not to do anything stupid. He has no doubts about how much she loves her son and wants to see him again, but it’s stupid and too dangerous.
He leaves without his phone. She grabs it and calls after him but he’s gone. Sheila puts on her disguise.
Finn and his mother are having pasta at Il Giardino. She’s still horrified of how far Sheila was willing to go. She’s surprised he wanted to eat where he was shot. “They have the best ravioli,” he says.
Finn is just grateful to have a second chance at life and it’s all because of her. She knows that Sheila’s death must be complicated for him. She may have been a monster but was his birth mother.
Finn admits he wishes things were different and Sheila was different. He wanted to find some good in her but there wasn’t any.
“Thank god the nightmare is finally over,” Li says. She enjoys their get togethers but wishes they didn’t spend them discussing Sheila.
He tells her that Taylor has pushed him to try and find the silver lining. He saved Steffy’s life and now they are back together. What they’ve been through deepened their love.
He’s sure something similar happened to his mom as she fought to save his life. He can’t describe to Li how much he loves her. Now they are free and never have to worry about Sheila again.
After Li steps away, Deacon arrives. Finn leaps up, hugs him, and thanks him for helping to save his life. Deacon is sure he’s been busy coming back from the dead.
As Finn tells him about Sheila dying, Deacon spots disguised Sheila across the room, waving his phone at him. Finn looks over and his eyes narrow.
At Brooke’s, she loses it as Hope explains that Douglas is spending another night at Eric’s. Liam isn’t crazy about this either. Brooke is starting to worry Thomas will not be bringing Douglas home.
Hope explains she expressed her concerns to Thomas yesterday. Her mom is not convinced that the little boy should be alone with his father.
Hope adds that Thomas asked her to come over and see how happy Douglas is at Eric’s. “You can’t let that happen,” Brooke says.
Her daughter doesn’t want a custody battle. She just wants Douglas happy and healthy. She agrees with her mom that Thomas’ demands are more about him than his son. That’s why she will pay them a surprise visit.
When Hope leaves them alone, Liam admits to Brooke that he will never trust Thomas. His wife has an amazing ability to forgive and he doesn’t want Thomas taking advantage of that.
After all this time, Liam still hates the thought of Thomas and Hope alone together. Deep down, he worries he’s still obsessed with her. However, he supports her going to see what the deal is with her own eyes.

B&B opinion: Does Thomas deserve custody?
At Eric’s, Taylor marvels at all of Douglas’ paintings. He wonders where some of them disappeared to. Taylor promises to get him some more paints.
The kid thanks Eric for letting him stay. He’s having the best time with his dad. His great-grandfather promises to paint with him later.
When Douglas goes off to do homework, Eric remarks on how much he reminds him of Thomas when he was that age.
Thomas doesn’t want to be apart from his son for another day. He just wants to be the kind of father his son deserves. He was unfit to raise his son before, but he’s ready for that now.
Eric warns he could be in for a long custody battle. Thomas hopes it doesn’t come to that.
When Eric leaves them alone, Thomas thanks his mother for all her support. She hugs him and tells him he will provide loving support for his son.
Hope interrupts and Taylor exits. She wanted to take him up on his offer to see what it’s like there for Douglas. It means a lot to him that she’s trying.
After he tells her that they’ve been having a great time, Douglas runs in and hugs his mom, thanking her for letting him stay and telling her how much fun he has been having.
