General Hospital recap for Thursday, August 1, 2022. In today’s GH episode, Carly talks to Bobbie about Drew, Anna and Valentin are honest with one another, and Liz opens up to Finn about her memory loss.
We also have Wednesday’s GH recap where Carly and Drew discussed where their relationship was headed, Anna probed Victor about Valentin and Nikola gave Liz an alibi.
Anna and Valentin are honest with one another. She knows about Charlotte is in danger and comforts Valentin who worries.
He doesn’t like even having this conversation with her. “I feel like I’m going insane,” he says, clutching at his head and sobbing. Anna says they’ll fix this.
She asks what Victor asked Valentin to do. He’s sorry. He can’t talk about it and says Victor won’t tell him why he’s doing this.
He doesn’t have to because he’s got Charlotte. Anna knows Jennifer was framed and offers to call WSB but Valentin refuses.
If Victor knows, he’ll take it out on Charlotte. He’s too far in and can’t let anything happen to her.
Anna vows that Victor will never know he confided in her. Once Charlotte’s safe, they can put an end to Victor. They embrace.
Drew visits Curtis at the Savoy. They’re preparing for Trina’s party. Curtis and Portia tell Drew they’re engaged.
He congratulates them and the men talk about their concern over Ava and Portia leaves. Curtis asks why Drew’s really there.
Drew admits he and Carly have been flirting and he asked if she’d consider seeing where it could go.
Carly told him she needed to sort her life first. Curtis thinks she’s being smart and he should get his house in order, too. Curtis talks about how hard he and Portia worked to get to where they are now.
When they were first together, it ended badly but now they’re in a better place, not trying to recreate the past.
Drew points out that the future he wants with Carly is nothing like their pasts. He knows that he has to respect that she doesn’t want to mess with their relationship.
At the hospital, the doctor fills the family in about Ava. He suspects she’ll regain consciousness soon.
Trina heads to the vending machine while Spence trails her and Victor comforts Nik. While Nik goes back into Ava’s room, Portia questions Victor.
Where was he and who was he with during the attack? Victor says he was with Liz.
Spence says that then there’s no reason for him not to reveal that his father slept with Esme.
He claims he was with Spencer but it’s been confirmed that Spence was alone. Someone saw the two together after the attack. Can anyone confirm his whereabouts? Victor brushes her off and says his family needs him.
She tells him she’ll follow up and goes.
She walks up to Ava’s room and watches Nik hover over Ava as she wakes up and whimpers, “No. Stop.”
She notices she’s in the hospital and Jordan tells her she was stabbed last night and is in the ICU.
She asks if Ava is up to answering questions. Nikolas tries to stop her but Ava wants to help. She only remembers the pain and that she tried to call out for help. She’s told that Joss and Dex saved her and Jordan asked why she was on the docks alone.
he flashes to fighting with Nik. He tries to stop Jordan’s questioning but the commissioner plods on. Ava says they were fighting about Spencer. Jordan turns on Nikolas and asks why he lied to her when she asked if they had conflict.
Nikolas lies that he thought she was talking about outside conflict. He claims he’s sorry they fought.
He says he was venting about the argument to Liz and shouldn’t have left Ava’s side. Ava thanks him.
“It’s the thought that counts,” she says. She’s tired so Jordan leaves. Ava asks if Nikolas did this to her.
He denies that he’d ever do this to her. She tells him she’s tired and to go. He takes off.
Later, Jordan tells Portia and Trina that Ava’s awake. Trina is happy and wants to go get clothing for her. Jordan hears Trina say that she’s been staying at Metro Court the last few days.
Elsewhere, Victor yells at Spence that nothing that happens in their family is relevant to the police. Spence gets it.
Victor says his father, no matter how painful is not relevant. Spence says it’s relevant to Trina.
It could be used to find Esme. Victor admires that he has good intentions for Trina but he tells him not to complicate things. “Don’t invite anymore trouble,” he says.
In the office, Liz tells Finn that Nikolas lied for her. She doesn’t know where she was during the attack. She cries that she doesn’t know what to do and needs help. Finn says they’ll figure it out together.
He asks what triggered this.
She was replaying their fight and had fragments of a memory of her being a teen and shouting at a woman to stay away from her father. She doesn’t recognize her.
That’s all she can recall until she came to.
It happened when she spoke to Scott about him and Terry talking behind his back and again when she was at work when he found her in the stairwell.
Every time he confronts her about what’s happening, it seems to trigger her.
She cries, “There’s something very wrong with me.” She needs to know what memory she’s blocking.
Portia arrives at GH and embraces Trina, who asks if they can cancel the party.
Portia refuses, knowing Ava would want her to focus on herself for once. Victor returns and talks with Spence about Jordan making insinuations.
He says if she keeps it up, she’ll learn the hard way that she can’t make accusations about Cassadines.

At home, Bobbie and Carly talk about Carly being unable to fly to a conference.
She wonders if it’s about Sonny but Carly tells her it’s about Jason. She thinks she has feelings for his brother. Bobbie says everyone knows.
This surprises Carly and she opens up about how they became friends and started to flirt.
Bobbie asks if Drew returns her feelings. Carly says yes. Things got hot until there was a fire that stopped things. She admits he stopped by earlier and discussed their relationship and that Carly felt she wasn’t prepared to start anything.
Bobbie thinks Drew’s capable of protecting himself. Bobbie reassures her that Jason wouldn’t mind. Drew might not mind her impulses.
Carly flashes to learning that Nina’s Willow’s mother and Bobbie questions what she’s thinking about.
Carly doesn’t want Drew to be a crutch to use to get over everything that has happened. Bobbie doesn’t see this as a rebound.
Carly does and she can’t afford to lose another friend. She gets a text that Ava’s okay and is glad.
Bobbie wants to talk about Drew again but Carly’s trying to be sensible.
“You are a creature of impulse and when you want something you go for it.” Carly’s been trying not to.
Bobbie thinks she can find happiness now that she’s out of the hotel business, which will include a man. Carly laughs and hugs her before she goes, and then considers the leadership conference.
