General Hospital recap for Thursday, August 11, 2022. In today’s GH episode, Jordan stymies Portia’s plan, Spencer asks Sonny for another favor, and Martin asks Lucy to skip town.
We also have Wednesday’s GH recap where Cody claimed to be Dominique Stanton’s son and Drew offered to get rid of Victor for Valentin.
At the PCPD, Spencer says he can’t betray the person who helped him. Sonny warns the authorities will want to punish him. Is he going to sacrifice himself or someone else?
Spencer wants to take responsibility for what he did. He has a lot of amends to make. Sonny says that they are good.
Spencer is hoping he will do one more thing for him. If anyone can exonerate Trina, it is Esme. He hopes Sonny can find her and bring her back.
Sonny assures him he is doing all he can for Trina and encourages him to focus on himself and keep his head down.
In her office at General Hospital, Portia and Curtis prepare to wake Oz from his coma.
As they head for Oz’s room, they find Jordan at the door with Rory. She claims she knows why they are there and won’t allow it. Clearly, she doesn’t know.
Portia offers to get her own security for Oz. The cop realizes they want to get rid of his protection. The doctor makes excuses until Jordan leads her away to speak.
Jordan tells Portia and Curtis that Esme has vanished. Even if Oz wakes up, it could be hard to bring Esme in.
She encourages them to get out of the building and get some sunshine. Rory will make sure no one gets to Oz.
Back in her office, Portia and Curtis try to figure out how they can get around Rory. She tells him she needs to do this alone and she’s sure that Jordan suspects they are up to something.
Rory won’t stop her from entering the room because she’s a doctor. They only need a moment. He reminds her that this could kill Oz or destroy her career.
Meanwhile, Jordan tells Rory that she knows he has a relationship with Trina. She needs to know if that will be a problem.
Trina and Joss sit by the pool. She appreciates her attempts to distract her while she waits for the verdict but… they are both distracted as Dex steps out of the pool.
He walks over dripping and asks Joss if they can forget about yesterday. Trina jumps up to introduce herself.
After Dex wanders off, Trina asks about him and what happened yesterday. Joss changes the topic to Rory. Trina admits she had a good time with him.
Dex calls Sonny, who immediately arrives.
Sonny wanders over to Trina and assures her that there are people looking out for her. He asks to speak to Joss alone.
They head into a corner and he tells her not to concern herself with Dex’s “errand.” She knows that means jury tampering. He reminds her they both want to save Trina.
She may never forgive him for what he did to her mother, but she’s grateful for what he’s trying to do for her friend.
Dex interrupts to say Trina got a message the jury may be coming back.
Joss goes to her friend. Trina panics that she may be out of time.

Lucy sneaks up on Martin at Charlie’s. He’s eager to get out of there but she wants to eat. He suggests they fly out of the country. That makes her a little suspicious.
The lawyer explains he has to leave town and wants her to come. Sitting down, he admits Anna is coercing him. She urges him to just ignore her or rise from the wreckage of his life.
Martin doesn’t want anything to do with wreckage. She encourages him not to back down. When he mentions she wants dirt on Valentin, she offers to help him pack.
Taking his hand, she tells him anywhere with him would be divine but she has to stay behind for work.
Austin joins Maxie on the patio. She’s flustered by dealing with Spinelli and assures the doctor she is happy to be with him. They kiss.
They chat about Spinelli having it bad for Britt. Austin tells her about how much Georgie hates him. The other kids love him. She thinks they just need to spend time together.
He’s planning a trip to a family resort. She wonders if he’s ready for that. Austin would love a chance to see if he can fit into her family.
The doctor leaves to take a call. When he returns, he explains he has to go. His property manager in Pautauk has an emergency and he will have to be gone for a few days.
She asks if he is cancelling the weekend with her kids. He hopes he will be back in time for the weekend.
When she offers to go to Pautauk, he tells her not to waste her time.
She’d like to get to know Pautauk but he says it will have to wait until another time. Maxie wonders what this trip is really about.
Austin tells her that leaving is the last thing he wants to do.
Lucy shows up and Austin takes off. She tells her about her abrupt farewell with Martin.
Maxie wonders if she’s overreacting and recaps the conversation she just had. She wonders if Austin is having second thoughts about their relationship.
Martin visits Spencer at the PCPD. After a few jokes, Martin tells him that he will have ten days at Spring Ridge if he names his accomplices… or three months at Pentonville if he doesn’t.
The lawyer hopes he takes the deal. “We both know what Laura would want you to do,” he adds. Spencer says he will try his hardest to live up to her expectations.
Martin doesn’t think that taking the fall is redemption. He’s already figured out that Victor was working with him. What will it take to get him to flip on him?
Spencer refuses the deal. Martin tells him he’ll have to report to Pentonville in two weeks. His client signs the paperwork.
Back at General Hospital, Austin bursts in on Curtis and Portia to ask about the police in the hall. After they explain, he apologizes and walks off.
Portia says everyone’s eyes are on that room now. She gets a call from Diane, who informs her that the jury is close to a verdict. The doctor decides she has to wake Oz immediately.
As he walks down the hall, Austin calls Mason and tells him he’s on his way.
