Thurs Dec 7, 2023: Today on General Hospital, Gregory and Alexis argue about Finn’s case, Lucy has cocktails with Scott, and Marshall is visited by Irene.
Wednesday’s GH recap: Trina comforted Spencer after Esme and Ace left, and Dante told Laura that Cyrus is a suspect in Austin’s murder.
Gregory, Alexis, and Violet are in the square looking for a tree.
Robert is with Diane. He assumes she didn’t invite him along for his tree selecting abilities.
As he starts asking where the mistletoe is, Alexis approaches.
She never knew that Diane had a tree.
Diane claims it’s the start of a new tradition.
Gregory and Violet approach and he’s not happy to see Diane.
Violet wonders why.
Robert and Diane make excuses and take off. Alexis sends Violet off to inspect a tree and then asks Gregory if that was necessary.
She tells him that Diane is not a vulture.
She’s just doing her job and she’ll probably win.
This appalls him. She loves his son but is looking at this from a legal perspective.
They argue about this and he thinks she’s talking like a legal eagle. She admits that she misses being an attorney.
She fills him in about helping his son prepare and admits she enjoyed cross-examining him.
He can understand how much she misses being a lawyer. Violet pops up after picking a tree.
She found one that was too pretty so suggests they find one that just needs a home.
Robert and Diane talk about Gregory sneering at her for representing the family suing Finn.
At home, Marshall shows Curtis an ornament that Irene made for their first Christmas together.
He recounts their first tree and how it only had this one ornament.
As he hangs it on the tree, he says Irene liked it just the way it was.
Curtis tells him about how his mom used to play music over the holidays.
That’s when his mom was always her happiest.
Portia arrives, impressed by the tree. It even smells like Christmas.
Marshall steps out for some fresh air.
When he sits outside, the ghost or Irene appears to him.
He’s been glad to hear that his leaving didn’t ruin her Christmases but he regrets missing them.
He beats himself up for walking away from them.
It was all a lie, a misdiagnosis. Breaking into tears, he tells her how sorry he is.
She tells him he’s been given a clean bill of health and reconnected with his son.
He shouldn’t waste time thinking of the past.
She tells him to let the regrets go. She was angry at first but moved on and enjoyed life.
Although she thought about him all the time, she didn’t waste her life thinking about what could have been.
That’s what she wants for him.
Irene reminds him that their son needs him. He should be thankful to be there now. She disappears.
Back inside, Curtis and Portia drink mulled wine. She tells him there is a chance he might walk again.
There was an experimental procedure she read about that let a man walk after only 11 days.
He’d be the perfect candidate. She submitted his name and they’re considering him for a trial.
The doctor says there are no guarantees but there is a chance. He thanks her.

Scott joins Lucy at Café Cherie for cocktails.
He complains that Liesl is still avoiding him.
They talk about relationships and how things never worked out with them as lovers.
Things get awkward and she brings up Serena.
She feels like she gave her part of her “spirit-heart.”
Scott says they made a great kid.
She gets a text from work and complains about Tracy being involved in Deception.
Baldwin is sorry about that.
Lucy tells him she’s not even taking salary right now so they don’t have to lay off staff.
They talk about the possibility of becoming grandparents.
Lucy is happy with the woman she is now and all her wisdom.
She tells him how much she used to like getting half naked in front of everyone at the Nurses’ Ball.
He wonders why she’s flying alone.
He thinks Martin should be paying attention to her at all times like he would.
Lucy reminds them they need to retain boundaries.
He asks if she still feels the fault. Coe claims it’s nostalgia.
She babbles her way into excusing herself.
Anna meets with Dante in the morgue.
He fills her in about the final arson report on her house.
There’s nothing in it that ties Charlotte to the fire. They found evidence that linked the arson to Jameson Forsythe.
She knows that he’s dead but what happened to the report he stole?
She’s sure that Forsythe was not acting alone.
The mortician pops up and tells them Forsythe’s body is gone.
The WSB took it as well as all the related reports and notes, including the arson report.
He mentions that Forsythe had a burn on his leg.
Dante flashes back to hearing about the autopsy and realizes that he’s changed the story.
The mortician vents about the WSB swarming in and then walks off.
Anna thinks someone at the WSB is going to a great deal of trouble to clear this up.
She thanks him and insists she’ll take it from here.
When she walks out, he looks at the key he kept that was found on the corpse.
Carly smiles when Mr. Brennan (Pikeman) shows up at Kelly’s.
He joins her and orders a BLT.
He tells her that he’s been getting used to the town.
Right now, his visit is open-ended.
When he explains that he’s a security consultant, she assumes he used to be a spy.
That makes him chuckle and he insists he wasn’t.
Robert and Diane arrive to order some hot chocolate from Carly.
Brennan watches them from a distance.
They leave for a walk in the park. When Carly turns, Brennan is gone.
He soon reappears and makes an excuse about running off and having to take a call outside and dashing back to his hotel to talk on his satellite phone overseas before offers her a bouquet as an apology.
After she reluctantly accepts, he asks her out to dinner.
She informs him she’s seeing someone.
She guesses he came for more than a BLR. He admits that wasn’t the reason at all, shooting her a smile as he exits.
