Friday March 8, 2024: John and Anna guess where Jason would go, Michael guesses Dante was saved by someone he knows, and Alexis tells Diane she’s thinking of leaving The Invader.
Thursday’s GH recap: Ava and Sonny got closer as Dante made it through surgery, and Spinelli gave Jason up to the Feds before kissing Maxie.
At General Hospital, Sam gets a text from Olivia before Kristina and Alexis rush over to her.
She has good news about Dante.
She explains that Dante has made it through surgery. She’s giving him some time before she goes in to see him but is glad they are there.
Jagger arrives and asks Anna for an update on Dante.
Announcing there has been a development, he shocks her by showing her the image of Jason on the rooftop.
That’s who has been taking aim at Sonny.
Anna finds this hard to believe. John asks who Jason would go to if he is back.
In the chapel, Sonny and Ava nearly kiss but end up hugging instead.
She apologizes and he smiles.
Before they can kiss, Olivia bursts in to declare Dante has made it through surgery.
The hug. Ava is happy for them.
As they rush out, Nina pops up in the doorway, happy to hear Dante is okay. Sony pushes past her.
Nina asks Ava what happened tonight.
Ava explains what occurred at the raid and how concerned she was about Avery losing her father.
The cops showed up and that was that.
Her friend worries about what else could have gone wrong.
The Jerome is pretty nonchalant.
Hugging her, Nina says she doesn’t know what she do if she lost her.
Nina is worried about Sonny.
She still loves him and doesn’t want to have to worry about her too.
Ava assures her she’ll be laying off of danger from now on.
She suspects they are getting closer to the truth.
Sensing she knows something, Nina tells her she needs to know who is after her husband.
Ava says there are only theories.
Her friend reminds her of how important this is to her.
Ava tries to justify when Sonny has been confiding in her and why she can’t tell her anything.
Nina thinks her husband needs her whether he wants to admit it or not and urges her to stop playing Switzerland.
“Why won’t you help me with my husband?” she demands.
After admitting no friend has been as loyal to her, Ava urges her not to sign the divorce papers.
“I’m going to help you save your marriage,” Ava tells her.
Nina worries his feelings for her are fading and he may decide to move on with someone else.
Thinking of how he looks at her, Ava says they can’t let that happen.
Outside of Dante’s room, Kristina checks on Sonny and he worries she’s putting the baby under too much stress.
She thinks the baby needs to learn to handle it if it’s coming into their family.
She’s doing a lot of breathing.
A nurse comes out and announces that Dante is critical and they don’t know when he will wake up.
Sam urges the parents to go in first.
Olivia and Sonny stand by Dante’s bedside and tell him they are there.
She holds her son’s hand and Sonny strokes his head.
Sam and Kristina come in next and his sister talks to him about baseball.
Sam holds his hand.
Alexis bumps into Diane and they chat about the Sonny situation.
The lawyer tries to avoid her and Alexis asks why.
Diane thought she might have been annoyed with her after the Finn case.
Alexis understands she was just doing her job.
Normally, Diane would have just talked to her about it.
Alexis admits she was more upset about not having the change to represent Finn and mop the floor with her.
As they chat about her move into journalism, Alexis explains she may be leaving that behind too.
Diane is appalled but not surprised by Nina’s actions.
Alexis is miffed that she made a unilateral decision to hire a columnist but she’d rather concentrate on her family now.
Sonny joins Diane and she informs him that his men aren’t being held by the Feds.
She asks after Dante and assures him his son won’t give up.
Sonny just wants to find out who did this and take care of it.
He returns to his son’s room and chats with Sam.
She urges him to get some rest but he’s determined to stick around.
They hug and she returns to Dante as he looks in through the window.
