Fri May 3, 2024: Joss tells Trina she’s thinking of making a switch, Dante worries to Sam that he’s crossed a line, and Kristina vents to Alexis about TJ.
Thursday’s GH recap: Tracy put Sasha to the test, and Lucy asked Lois to become Deception’s spokesperson.
Joss and Trina stop by a park bench after a jog.
Joss suddenly tells her she’s not sure about her future anymore.
She’s thinking of switching her major and doubts she should commit to be a doctor if she’s not all-in.
All that stuff that happened with Adam made her question things and think of all the work.
Even thinking of it is exhausting.
Trina says her mom loves it and Joss admires the medical professional but isn’t sure this is her passion.
They talk about graduating on time and how they don’t want to do summer school.
Trina just wants to work and wonders how they ended up in the same boat.
The PCPD trainees jog by and Trina notices Joss and Dex staring at each other.
She and Joss talk about how stitching up Dex was what inspired her to go into medicine.
As she talks about how all the things Dex has done that matter, she says she wants to do something that matters too but doesn’t want to take a spot away from someone who could take her place in med school.
Trina offers to be there for her regardless and guesses she still loves Dex.
She urges her to admit it.
Dex changes into his uniform.
At Alexis’s, she shows Kristina and Sam her lucky outfits for her hearing.
The baby starts kicking Kristina.
She starts going on about food and how much the baby likes the spicy kind.
She admits she doesn’t talk about the pregnancy much with Molly.
Sam is sure that their sister will get more comfortable and Kristina goes on about how incredible it feels to have a life in her.
Sam has to go and get her son and admits that they’ve been having some friction since Jason came back. She takes off.
Kristina can understand why Sam is so protective of her son with Jason.
She tells her mom she’s really good with her pregnancy but she’s worried about TJ and Molly.
She vents about TJ and suggests he’s controlling and causing tension with Molly. She doesn’t want to be micro-managed.
It feels like this baby is just something else they are checking off on a list.
They are missing out on the process of falling in love with the baby like she is.
Her mom suggests that they are just awkwardly trying to get more involved.
She asks if she’s starting to think of this baby more as her own than her sister’s.
Drew and Nina pull over and she reminds him that meeting the congressman is because of her personal connections.
She wants him to follow her lead.
He teases her and agrees.
They go inside and the congressman’s assistant shows them to his office.
He’s happy to see Nina and she tells him how distinguished he looks.
Congressman McConkey (played by Sam McMurray) wonders who Drew is.
Drew introduces himself and the congressman explains he had an appointment to speak to Nina alone.
He suggests he make an appointment.
Drew tries pitching a project and asks him to share a moment of time for the people of Port Charles.
He tells him about a plan to refurbish part of the pier to attract tourism and generate money into the city.
A project of this scope needs federal funding. He’s intrigued by can’t help.
He explains that he has stage four lung cancer and will be stepping down.
Nina pays her condolences.
Drew suggests that ending his term on a positive project could be a legacy that will be remembered.
It could be his farewell diagnosis and given his condition, no one would oppose it.
Nina tries to boot Drew out.
The congressman is okay but he’s not swayed either.
Drew assures him this plan is not a real estate scheme and he can trust Jordan and her involvement.
The congressman asks Nina if he should trust this guy.
She says that he’s a decorated Navy SEAL, a committed philanthropist, tough and fair.
The congressman will have to see some specs first but shakes his hand on it, making him promise to give his wife a good photo op.

Sonny stops by the penthouse with a gift for Sonny. It’s some boxing gloves. He thanks his father.
Sonny says he’s the only person in the family he can trust.
His son tries to convince him that he can at least count on Diane. Sonny tells him Nina signed the divorce papers and is out.
He can’t trust anybody anymore. Carly hurts the most. She told him to get out of her life.
As he gets agitated, Dante tries to cool him down. Sonny says he will always have his back.
He admits that he’s concerned that Dex has joined the PCPD and warns him not to let Dex have his back.
Sonny gives him a pat and takes off. Dante looks concerned.
He has a beer and sits on the balcony until Sam arrives. She sees the gift his father left.
The cop admits that he may have crossed the line between work and being Sonny’s son.
He hasn’t asked him to interfere on an investigation but it’s getting close.
She tells him there is nothing wrong with setting boundaries. He used to set them himself and worries they are now being set for him.
They talk about how hostile things have been at the PCPD around Dex.
Dante admits that the first time he heard about him coming on board, the first thing he worried about was how it could hurt his father.
That’s not the right thought for a cop to have.
She assures him that he won’t allow one thought to affect his work. Life may be messy, but he has never compromised himself.
He wishes he could be as sure as she is.
They all know Sonny is a criminal and he hasn’t stopped him. Why?
She keeps telling him he’s a good cop and should give himself a break.
He thinks he needs to face the reality that he’s gone easy on his father.
That’s a conflict of interest and he has no business being a cop.
Carly stops by Sonny’s penthouse.
Ava is the only one there and Carly insists on staying to wait for her ex to return.
She tells Ava she doesn’t need any monitoring.
Ava reminds Carly she no longer has power there.
Carly says she will speak to her ex whenever she needs to and that will change.
Ava tells her she can leave a message and he’ll talk to her if he wants to.
She accuses Carly of realizing she’s screwed up with Sonny for good and he’s slipping out of her grasp.
The mobster walks in and asks his ex where Donna is.
Carly refuses to discuss their daughter in front of Ava.
Once the Jerome has walked off, Carly announces she will no longer be bringing Donna there.
It’s not good for her.
They start bickering and she says she doesn’t want her daughter poisoned by all the bitterness.
She doesn’t know what he’s capable of anymore.
He threatens to take her to court and accuses her of using their daughter.
He asks why she is turning everyone against him. Is it because of Jason?
She thinks he’s living in an alternative universe and runs into the bathroom to check his meds.
After grabbing them, she wants to call his pharmacist and demands to know when he took his pills last.
He insists that he’s fine.
Ava comes in as Carly asks Sonny for the truth.
He asks if she thinks so little of him that he would jeopardize everything by going off his medication.
Sonny shows her the door and tells Ava there is nothing wrong with him.
Ava tells him Carly is being unreasonable. Once he trudges off, she picks up his pills.
