Fri April 12, 2024: Haven cancels Deception’s segment, Gregory urges Alexis to take a chance, and Tracy explains how money can complicate a marriage to BLQ.
Thursday’s GH recap: Nina told Drew Carly was sleeping with John, Alexis’ case was re-opened, and Anna wanted Valentin’s help with Pikeman.
Gregory and Alexis are eating at teh metro Court,. She misses having him at The Invader.
He says that his best days aren’t ahead of him.
She hopes she can still call him with her problems every day.
He’s sorry to hear the paper is giving her heartburn.
Alexis tells him she can’t be his plus one for the wedding.
There’s a slight chance she might get her law license back.
She’ll be at the hearing. He thinks that’s momentous but she thinks it’s a longshot.
Alexis admits she really wants this.
As they eat, he talks about how everyone has been urging him to mindfulness, alternative treatment, and so on.
It’s reminded him that it means that
what counts is what you believe.
She believes in being a lawyer. He hopes he gets the chance to see her back in action.
Taking his hand, she tells him most of these appeals are denied.
He’ll have faith for both of them.
Alexis tells him that Molly worries that if her hopes are dashed, she could lapse and lose her sobriety.
She’s worried about the risk.
He tells her that it’s teh chances you didn’t take that you regret in the end.
The effort is its own reward. It’s life-affirming.
At the Quartermaine estate, BLQ tells Tracy about going to Florence for the honeymoon.
Chase sold his truck to pay for the trip.
Tracy thinks that’s sweet. BLQ is buying him an electric truck as a wedding gift.
Her grandma tells her not to.
That will just be taken as a sign of disrespect because she can clearly afford things Chase can’t.
BLQ insists they share everything. Tracy knows from experience that being wealthier than your husband can cause problems.
She assumes that he was taught to be the breadwinner.
Chase is very traditional.
That’s part of his charm.
BLQ finally realizes this.
Tracy points out she’d be devaluating his loving gesture.
She reminds her she has a thoughtful, generous husband.
BLQ is sad he has to give anything up for her.
She tells her grandmother what an amazing woman she is and then run through how terrible their family is at marriage.
Leaping up, BLQ wonders if she will fall into the same pattern and her marriage is doomed.
Tracy says that as long as she understands they have very different frames of reference about money, they will be okay.
She recalls how she finally ended up with her true prince.
Luke accepted her for her and she did the same for him.
Hugging her, she tells BLQ she will be lucky too.
Whatever happens, she will always be on her side.
In the Aurora office, smug Nina tells Drew, Michael, and Curtis that she caught Carly with Agent Cates wearing nothing but a towel.
Curtis says that doesn’t mean they were cheating. Drew announces that he and Carly have broken up.
Michael thinks this is none of Nina’s business but she keeps rubbing it in.
Curtis says it’s none of their business and Drew refuses to discuss it. Nina goads Drew about Carly getting over him so quickly.
Michael exits and Curtis tells Nina she was out of line. She admits it and leaves.
Curtis asks his friend what has been going on. Drew tells him how things have changed since Jason got back.
He ended things with Carly. “That sucks,” says Curtis.
His friend agrees but it was the right thing. He wants a solid relationship like Curtis has with Portia.
Curtis is surprised by how Nina came at him earlier.
Drew says they have made “accommodations” with each other.
Michael meets with his mom in the bar and tells her that Nina claims she was sleeping with Jagger.
After fuming about “that woman” running off to tattle, she makes it clear that she only slept in the agent’s room.
She fills him in about finding him. Michael wonders if she’s worried about Cates investigating Jason.
Carly doubts the agent will ever find anything. Sonny trying to keep Jason out of the business is only doing him a favor.
Diane meets Jason at his office and he asks if he has enough money to buy back Carly’s half of the Metro Court.
He says Nina can name her price. Diane won’t give her a blank check.
She thinks Carly will be a bigger problem because she has repeatedly refused to take anyone else up on their offers of help.
Jason says he will work on Carly.
Diane asks about the papers he was supposed to receive.
Carly arrives with them. Her paralegal left them at Bobbie’s.
Once the lawyer takes off, Jason guesses something happened with Carly.
She admits she did something he won’t like.
She fills him in on what happened with John.
He was beaten but not robbed so she assumes Sonny roughed him up.
She rehashes how much Sonny hates John for their history but Jason also thinks Sonny knows assaulting a federal agent is a crime.
Carly explains that Nina caught her with John, assumes they slept together, and it’s only a matter of time until she tells Sonny.

Nina gets to the Crimson office and goes through her messages with her assistant.
She’s annoyed to hear Olivia has been calling and says she’s not in if Drew calls.
Diane barges in and announces that Jason is willing to buy her half of the Metro Court at three percent over market value.
Nina assumes this is for Carly.
Diane taunts her about how busy she is and had no idea she was interested in all the mundane details of running a hotel.
They start negotiating.
Nina demands nine percent over market value and Diane agrees to take that to her client.
In the stables, Sasha brushes a horse until Cody asks how her job search is going.
She hasn’t had much luck with anything that interests her.
He says any company would be lucky to have her.
She doesn’t want to be hired for her looks.
The stableman points out she can’t just hang out there and needs to get a job at some point.
He’s sure Lucy and Maxie are kicking themselves for letting her walk away.
She thinks leaving might have been crazy.
Sasha doesn’t want to go back to doing something she dislikes.
He asks her to know when she figures out what she wants.
Later, she returns after a horse makes a mess of her and they giggle.
Haven (played by Morgan Fairchild) joins Maxie and Lucy at the Home & Heart studio.
She asks where Blaze is now that Sasha is out.
They announce that they have split the selling duties. Lucy is stepping in today.
Haven walks off to discuss this with her producer.
Lucy accuses Maxie of not having her back.
Maxie doesn’t agree with her decision to do this.
Lucy accuses her of wanting the spotlight herself.
Maxie doesn’t and blames her for them losing Sasha.
They bicker about how inspirational Sasha was. Lucy isn’t.
Coe suggests that her friendship with BLQ is messing with her mind.
Maxie suggests that Lucy’s love affair with herself is the real problem.
They talk about how much they love the company and Lucy admits that she’s still on edge about Tracy undermining them.
Maxie says that if they keep fighting, they will destroy Deception themselves.
Haven returns and says that the segment is canceled because Lucy is not a suitable replacement for Sasha.
When Haven refuses to go on air with an amateur, Lucy is appalled and starts bragging about the Nurses’ Ball.
This doesn’t impress Haven. Maxie tries pitching their segment again.
Haven relents and they shoot the segment.
Maxie watches from the sidelines as Lucy starts bragging about her life and all the things she does.
As she talks about being in protective custody last year, Maxie nearly faints.
