General Hospital recap for Thursday, December 8, 2022. In today’s GH episode, Ava taunts Ryan, Heather calls Ryan her lover, and Anna and Valentin go on the run after a commotion.
We also have Tuesday’s GH recap where Anna and Valentin had to go on the run, Robert suspected the diamonds contain a message, and Finn found Esme’s prenatal vitamins.
Valentin and Anna opened the door to Marty. He knew they’d lead him to Lucy’s killer. Marty knows Anna didn’t kill his Lucy and assumes they’re searching for her real killer.
Valentin asks how he found him. He’s been looking at his accounts and bought a trip to Ireland when he learned Valentin did. Valentin gets angry and Marty says he’ll help them with Lucy and the jailbreak.
Anna says they all need to leave.
When Martin refuses, she tells him that they’ve reason to believe Lucy’s alive.
They won’t say more. A car comes up the drive with no lights.
They worry. Martin’s car is down the road. A US Marshall bangs on the door. “Open up!”
Outside, Agent Whitten’s with a Marshall. He says they’ve no search warrant so they can’t barge in. Martin opens the door.
The man asks where Anna Devane is and why he’s in Ireland. Martin acts as though he’s there to grieve and make peace with his Lucy’s passing. Agent Whitten tells the Marshall to search upstairs.
Martin says no he won’t unless he has a search warrant. Does he own the joint? Martin says yes. He’s acting on behalf of Tiffany Hill.
They’ve no warrant so Martin tells them to get out. The agent threatens to shoot Martin in the knee to get information out of him.
Martin starts to freak out and Valentin appears, hands over his head. He says Martin followed him there.
He was looking for Anna. Anna goes up behind the agent and presses her gun to his neck.
He puts his hands up and Valentin grabs his gun. Anna hits him with the butt of her gun and he falls unconscious. She says they’ll call the Marshalls inside.
Martin yells, “Help!” Anna and Valentin leave while the men come inside and Martin pretends that Whitten fell.
The man comes to and demands they arrest Martin.
In Liz’s office, Finn hugs her. She sets the prenatal vitamins for Esme on her desk. They talk about her dad’s visit and how difficult it is. At least he’s going back to California.
Finn thinks at least she can process and drop the guilt. She died of Blackwoods. Liz scoffs.
She got it after she fell down the stairs. Liz caused it. She can’t talk about this with Finn. He knows but does that mean they can’t talk at all?
She doesn’t think they can get past this. He doesn’t want to deal with logic. He loves her. She loves him, too.
She looks at the prenatal vitamins and seems to feel guilty. Thanks to her, he knows Reiko cheated on him.
Nikolas calls and she says she’ll deal with him later.
Finn admits he was on Spoon Island to find Esme. Meanwhile, Nik leaves Liz a message about what’s going on.
At Wyndemere, Victor tells Nik it’s wonderful to have Spencer here for Christmas. They’ll have a big Christmas celebration. Spencer isn’t sure his dad wants him there.
Nik’s just surprised. Spencer thinks it’s a horrid idea. He thinks his dad convinced Ava to forgive him for sleeping with Esme. He doesn’t want him here to jeopardize his marriage.
Nikolas says this isn’t about Ava. Victor admits Nikolas and Ava are divorcing. Nikolas made a horrid mistake and despite everything, he’ll always love his son.
It’ll never change but he can’t stay here. Victor glares while Spencer breathes out a laugh. Victor’s confused. He needs to keep his nephew close.
It’s a condition of his release. Nikolas suggests he move out then. Spence says they’ll move to Metro Court. Victor groans.
He just left there. He says they’ll go to the Port Charles Grill. They’ll eat dinner.
Victor asks Nikolas to come but he refuses. “We’re not ready. We need time.”
If they can put their hostility aside, then he can move in. Spencer shakes his head. “Okay then.”
They go. After, Nikolas throws things around the room and damns Esme.

At the grill, Rory and Trina dine as she looks around. She hasn’t been in public much since the hook.
Rory promises she’s safe with him and finds her too beautiful to hide. She finds him handsome. It’s their three-month anniversary.
They discuss art exhibits and how it all works. She gets excited and loves the seminal piece “The Temple.”
He cracks a joke and it’s not clear if he even knows what she’s talking about.
She asks how he battles bad guys and appreciates fine art.
He had a good teacher. She asks if he can go with her to see some art and hopes he won’t get bored. If he does, he says he can look at his favorite piece of art. “You.”
He reveals he’s working on Christmas but on Christmas Eve, his family will get together.
He says he’ll play tag with the kids and invites her to come. With a little convincing, she agrees to it. He makes her feel special.
They eat dessert and he tells her he loves her. She gapes and the whole restaurant turns to look just as Spencer walks in with Victor.
Jordan visits Ryan in Spring Ridge. She asks if he’s seen Esme Prince. The nurse says, “No deal.” Ava turns up, sorry she’s late. “Get blinkin'”
She says. Ryan blinks that Ava’s beautiful. Ava only wants intel, not compliments. He claims Esme was worried about him when she visited.
They were close. When Jordan asks if she’s capable of murder, Ryan blinks yes.
They show him the letter from the Hook. Did Esme write it? He says yes and no. They used the wording ‘me and mine’ when Esme’s a loner.
He asks why Ava’s still wearing her wedding ring when it’s obvious that she and Nik are done. “Come back to me.”
Sonny goes to see Heather in her room at Spring Ridge. He scares her awake. She thinks he’s there to kill her.
He reminds her Port Charles is his town. She’d be wise to remember that. He’s not there to kill her.
He has questions. Namely wants to know who the guy was who drove the getaway van.
He sits close and says he’d appreciate if she told him first. If she gives the cops a clear description, the cops will find Anna before he can.
He asks her to give them a fake description. She describes the guy as very cute. She’d recognize him immediately.
Sonny says that’s a terrible shame. 
Prisons are violent, he tells her things to happen.
Heather admits she’s bad with faces and says that description was probably a nurse at GH. He sees Jordan on the way out and lies that he’s thinking of donating to the place.
Meanwhile, Ava tells Ryan she’s in love with Nikolas and will never love Ryan.
She tells him her marriage isn’t his business.
The nurse says he reads online gossip sites about her.
Sonny and Jordan asks if everything’s okay with Ava and Ryan. She says it’s fine. The nurse takes Ryan to his room. They tell Sonny why they’re there. They tell him everything and he asks if they don’t believe Esme’s the hook.
Once alone, Sonny tells Ava to cut loose with Nikolas. He’s bad news.
In his room, Ryan wonders what Esme got herself into. Heather appears. “Hello lover!”
