General Hospital recap for Wednesday, December 7, 2022. In today’s GH episode, Anna and Valentin have to go on the run, Robert suspects the diamonds contain a message, and Finn finds Esme’s prenatal vitamins.
We also have Tuesday’s GH recap where Jeff warned Heather away from his family, Esme manipulated Nikolas with a special request, and Cyrus had a gift for Spencer to give to Trina.
Felicia and Laura join Robert in his office. Felicia explains she told Valentin that Lucy is alive and he’s searching for her.
Sitting down, they wonder why Victor is after the diamonds this time.
Felicia thinks they can narrow it down by looking at the diamonds. After examining them, she finds a number written on them. They check and it’s not a serial number.
It must be a code or something more dangerous. After a file is delivered, Felicia takes off.
On her way out, a cop tells Felicia that there is a lead on Anna’s whereabouts.
Meanwhile, Robert tells Anna that Victor may be looking for a message hidden in the diamonds.
Valentin arrives in County Kerry, Ireland and Anna is waiting for him. They make out.
She notices that he has something on his mind. He thinks his coming there might be too risky.
Anna asks what’s going on in Port Charles. They cuddle up and he explains everything that happened with Holly.
He admits he has no idea what his father’s end game is. After he finds Lucy, he will clear her name and bring her home safe.
Kissing him, she says he’s not going to do that. She’s no damsel in distress.
He knows that but she’s too much of a target. She suggests they work as a team.
He gets a call from Felicia tipping him off that Interpol knows where she is.
“We have to go now,” he says.
As soon as they pack up, they are stopped at the door.
“You!” Valentin blurts out.
Victor arrives at Pentonville, interrupting Spencer’s conversation with Cyrus. He explains that he called in some favors and he’s getting out to today.
Spencer is thrilled, Cyrus not so much.
Victor adds there are some restrictions, but he hopes this proves he has his best interests at heart.
Cyrus tells his nephew he will watch out for him and asks him to write.
Spencer thanks them both and leaves to get processed.
Victor repeats his warning to Cyrus to stay away from his nephew. He won’t allow his lies to corrupt Spencer and advises him to keep his mouth shut.
Renault tells him he’s not a liar and quotes some scripture. Victor hopes his nephew never lays eyes on him again.
“If he does, even your god won’t be able to save you,” Victor warns.

Dante and Sam arrive at The Grill and find Cody getting drunk at the bar. He announces he’s leaving town now that nothing is keeping him there.
They sit down and Dante assumes his friend messed things up with Britt.
Cody says she was being ridiculous. Something heavy is going on with her.
As Dante gets him coffee, Cody tells Sam to say what’s on her mind.
She’s happy that he’s leaving town and says she knows he’s done shady things his whole life.
Dante returns and she leaves to take a call. His friend tells him his whole life went to hell overnight because of karma.
The cop asks him what he did. Cody complains about having nothing.
Dante tells him that he and Leo won’t let him leave. Cody reminds him that there will be a world of hurt coming for them if anyone finds out what they did as kids in summer 1996.
Dante knows Sam found the record, but it is sealed. Cody thinks it will cause trouble if Sam unseals it.
When she returns, Cody exits. Dante asks Sam not to make things worse for his friend like dredging up his juvenile arrest record. He asks her to let it go.
Finn shows up at Wyndemere to ask Nikolas about Esme. The doctor suspects she is still in town and flying under the radar.
“What if Esme is on Spoon Island?” he asks. The prince acts confused and says security would have noticed.
The doctor thinks they need to look and Nikolas points out even the cops haven’t been there to look. He pokes him about his tension with Liz.
Finn decides this visit was a mistake. When he threatens to call the cops, Nikolas offers to talk to the staff.
After he wanders off, Finn notices there is a bottle of prenatal vitamins on the table.
When the prince returns, he explains he’s having the island searched and assures him he has Liz’s best interests at heart.
Finn would like to believe that but doesn’t. After he exits, Nikolas spots the vitamins and panics.
He recalls Esme telling him that she thinks Liz is too much of a nurse to let her die.
Spencer and Victor show up, to Nikolas’ surprise. Victor explains it is a conditional release and one false move could send him back to Pentonville.
At General Hospital, Britt calls the Haunted Star. She wants to rent it for New Year’s and party like there’s no tomorrow.
Jeff tracks down Liz to tell her he’s leaving in the morning and wanted to tell her something.
Terry interrupts and Jeff asks for a few minutes alone with his daughter.
After they go into an office, Jeff tells Liz that he saw himself for the first time today and didn’t like what he saw. He visited Heather and talking to her made him face some things he’s not proud of.
He tends to run away and deny any wrong doing. “I was wrong,” he says, apologizing.
She’s been waiting most of her life to hear that.
He admits he was trying to have things both ways and missed years of her life because of it. He’s failed as a father and wishes he could take it back.
Liz says nothing he can say or do will ever take away the damage he did. He forced her to start life without him and there’s nothing he can do.
She has to live with her burdens, and he has to live with his too.
Jeff knows there’s nothing left to say but repeats he’s sorry. He and Carolyn still love her, and the children and he hopes she can find it in her heart to forgive him a little.
If she ever wants to reach out, he will be there. He hopes it won’t be 25 years until he sees her again.
Britt corners Terry at the nurses’ station and announces she is having a big party for her birthday this year. She can’t imagine celebrating without her.
She knows they didn’t get along at first, but Monica was right and they make a great team.
Terry spots Finn and rushes over to him to ask about Liz.
They watch Jeff leave and Finn rushes off to see Liz.
When he finds her, she tells him she’s not okay. She hugs him, prenatal vitamins in her hand.
Meanwhile, Britt tells Terry she would have made a great chief if she’d been allowed to fly solo. Terry jokingly asks if she’s quitting.
“Nothing lasts forever,” Britt says.
