Wed Dec 6, 2023: Today on General Hospital, Trina, Curtis, and Marshall pick a tree, Jake and Liz discuss Charlotte, and Alexis and Martin test Finn.
Tuesday’s GH recap: Pikeman’s the new head of WSB, Cyrus flew off the handle at Laura, and Curtis investigated his shooting.
Curtis, Trina and Marshall arrive in the square. He’s excited to small the pine trees and tells Trina she can pick anyone she wants for their Christmas tree.
They start looking but Curtis is not impressed when she picks one immediately. Marshall says it’s too small.
She thinks small will be easier but Curtis thinks they should take advantage of their high ceilings.
Trina is surprised that Curtis is so opinionated about trees and Marshall regales them with stories about his tree history.
They keep looking. Curtis suggests one. Trina gets a text and runs.
Curtis is eager to hand ornaments and talks to his dad about how this was his mom’s favorite time of year.
It wasn’t until he was an adult that he realized his mom and aunt had to work hard to make the holiday happy. His mom would tell him the best presents were the smiles on his face.
Liz and Jake arrive to look over trees. He guesses something is wrong because she’s trying to hard to seem happy.
She’s impressed that he’s so perceptive and admits she’s worried about Finn. He’s being accused of malpractice.
She fills him in on the case and how much the doctor is beating himself up about it.
Liz assures him that Finn did nothing wrong. Jake is glad she’s told him.
She’s proud of how he’s picked up the slack since Cam left.
They sit and she asks what’s happening with Charlotte. He says they haven’t been testing much since she was shot.
Most girls he knows talk a lot, but it’s hard to know what Charlotte is thinking.
His mom tells him Charlotte is dealing with a lot of trauma. He hadn’t thought of that.
“I hate guns!” he blurts. He knows it was an accident and wants to get involved in gun control groups. She loves that.
Finn and Martin arrive at Alexis’ office. She’s going to act as opposing council for his prep. She warns that she won’t be playing nice.
They discuss how Diane will try to provoke him into making self-incriminating statements.
As they sit around a desk, the lawyer tell him never to volunteer anything on the stand. Keep all answers short.
He had no idea the law was so complicated. No one has ever accused him of being verbose.
Things start off rough and they go over his story. Finn gets frustrated and they keep pushing him.
At the penthouse, Esme gets ready to call a cab for Ace. Spencer asks why she doesn’t let him drive them.
She reminds him that she can’t rely on him anymore. She needs to get comfortable being alone. She’s doing this for Ace.
He can see that and is sorry. She lets him watch Ace while she finishes packing,
Taking a deep breath, Spencer sits down with his brother and tells him they won’t see each other as much.
He will miss him but still take him to see the ducks and have ice cream.
Esme watches as he chokes back tears talking to Ace. He tells him he will always be his big brother.
She returns and picks up her son. She asks Spencer to wish them luck and he shows them out.
After they leave, Trina shows up and hugs him.
They sit and he tells her this is hard but Esme is probably right in the long run. She’s proud of him for being so mature.
He’s sure Ace won’t remember, but he will. He’ll never forget the past few months of watching him grow and how happy they were.
She believes it will all be in Ace’s mind somewhere.

Dante arrives at the mayor’s office. Laura called him over to give her and Jordan an update on the Austin case.
The detective tells them that someone in Pautauk found Austin. He was shot before Thanksgiving.
Laura wonders why he’s not further along in this investigation. Dante reminds them he’s not in charge. The crime wasn’t in Port Charles.
There are no official suspects, but Cyrus is a person of interest.
That’s not a surprise to them. The cop explains that Austin and Mason were working for Cyrus.
He’s called Pentonville but they have no evidence that Austin ever visited Cyrus. He suspects someone at the prison wiped the record.
There is no evidence, but he suspects that Cyrus has motive enough for murder… but he does have an alibi.
He’s not convinced he still has the associates to hire to take care of it.
Laura wants to remain informed. If her brother is the still the killer he always was, he needs to pay.
At Deception, Maxie tells Sasha and Cody how great their chemistry is. They won over everyone at Wyndham’s.
They sit and she tells them that they are planning a shoot in Monument Valley in a few months. Cody is impressed.
Maxie declares they are selling more than beauty wands – they are selling romance. Everyone wants that and them against a sunset is the epitome of it.
Felicia walks in and declares James is okay. the school called to say his tummy hurt so she took him home to bed.
Liesl is with him and says he’ll be fine. The school called but didn’t get an answer from Maxie.
Cody is relieved all is well.
There’s an important conference call. Cody and Sasha offer to handle it. Maxie is reluctant but agrees to leave them to handle it.
Once Maxie and her mom exit, Sasha and Cody start the conference call.
Panicking Adam arrives at Joss’ dorm and tells her he’s too worried to check the test results. If he doesn’t get over 85%, he might as well jump off a bridge.
He asks her to look with him. She checks. He got 97.
Adam immediately calls his dad with the news. His dad wonders why he had to take a make-up text so Adam claims he had to take a friend to the ER.
When he gets off the phone, Joss asks why he lied. He explains his father wouldn’t accept him walking out.
She asks when he will start making decisions about his own life.
He’s sorry and owes her. She just wants him to be truthful. He takes off.
Joss studies and puts in her ear buds.
In his room, Adam drinks Cola Crisp and pops pills.
