General Hospital recap for Monday, July 5, 2022. In today’s GH episode, Sonny asks Spinelli what kind of trouble he’s in, Carly bans Spence and Esme after a poolside incident, and Drew has a proposition for Nina.
We also have Friday’s GH recap where Brook Lynn turned to Sonny for help, Chase vented to his dad, and Olivia wanted to buy Carly’s half of Metro Court.
At the studio of Home and Heart, Lucy and Maxie are excited, calling the show the holy grail of cosmetics. “Will we see Erica Kane?” Meanwhile, Sasha glances at Felty, nervously. The host, Haven de Havilland (played by Morgan Fairchild) arrives on set.
Lucy gushes and curtsies. Maxie never misses her show. Haven’s a big fan of Deception and introduces herself to Sasha. Felty takes photos of the women and makes Sasha more nervous. Haven gives her a few tips on how to sell and have fun and they take their places.
When everyone else is busy, Sasha rushes to her purse and digs in and finds her drugs. She’s about to take them when behind her she hears Brando’s voice. He came to be with her on her special day.
She asks after Willow and learns that they must have had good news. Sasha smiles and remembers overhearing the nurse talking about Willow’s pregnancy. She goes to get her touch up and Brando wishes her luck. He goes and she downs a pill. The show begins. Haven starts the interview with Sasha, who looks around, uncomfortably. She admits she’s incredibly nervous. Haven gets it. She recalls a nervous first day as well. They get their first caller, who calls Sasha gorgeous. She’d pay anything to look like her and asks about their lip plumper. Sasha tells her how it works as Lucy smiles. Suddenly, Haven has a surprise guest, which worries Maxie, since it wasn’t in the script. Flora Gardens (played by Susan Batten) turns up and Sasha asks if she’d like a makeover. They make the woman over and then later try to sell a papoose, while Sasha looks like she’s seen a ghost.
Poolside, Brook Lynn tells Chase that today’s the day she changes his life. She has an idea for a career change. Meanwhile, Joss and Trina tell Cam that he looks grim. He doesn’t look “open and honest.” Cam remembers his plan with Spencer.
Nearby, Carly asks Olivia not to tell Sonny about her issues. Olivia agrees as Sonny approaches. He assumes she has bad news. She tells him Donna’s fine and brushes him off. He goes and she saddles up to the bar for wine.

Spencer finds Esme in the park and she wants to go away to celebrate. He just wants to enjoy the sun so they take off to the pool.
At Metro Court, Britt watches from across the room as Cody sticks a spoon to his nose and Dante and Rocco watch. Spin appears and wants romantic advice. Britt scoffs that he won’t get it from her.
He asks if she’s had success with the skydiver. She’s been busy washing her head. Spin hoped things turned around for her. He’s scheduled for date number three and shows a photo of Brandi. Britt’s impressed by the woman’s beauty.
Nina finds Drew in her office and offers help. She wonders how beneficial it would be. He asks to leave Carly and Sonny out if it. It’s just business. She heard his business wasn’t booming.
He admits Valentin did get ahead of him and Michael but the stock and Aurora will recover. Maybe faster, with a change at the top. He says if she buys Crimson, she takes control of the magazine. He hands over documents and tells her not to take too long deciding.
Cody happily greets Olivia, who remembers him from camp. When Cody sees Britt laughing with Spinelli, his smile falters. They discuss how he knows how to handle horses.
Olivia’s looking for someone to work at their family stables. Cody can’t take his eyes off of Britt and tells her he has something to do. He approaches Britt. He tries to charm her in his own way and she calls him, “accident prone, uncouth, and poor.”
He asks, “What’s not to love,” he and offers Spin riding lessons. Spin says Brandi suggested it. Cody tells Britt he’s sticking around. “Yippee Ki Yay.” Britt takes off and Spin tells Cody to go, snapping at him about using extortion on him.
Sonny arrives and asks Olivia about her business partner. She tells him to worry about himself and not about his ex-wife. Dante asks his dad to join them but he has a meeting.
He makes plans with Rocco for a rematch on a video game before he goes, and then stops by the bar to see Spinelli. He asks who Spin’s friend is. The men are introduced and Sonny invites him over to look through old family albums.
Cody hugs Spinelli goodbye and tells him, “Well played.” Cody goes and Sonny asks outright what kind of trouble Spinelli is in. Spinelli refuses to say. Britt returns and gets a call from Zelda and gives her one more chance, while Cody tries to pay for the bill at Dante’s table.
Dante refuses and Cody asks about the job his mother was talking about. “Does it come with room and board?”
Back at the pool, Spence and Esme appear. Spence shrugs to Cam on the sly and Cam and Joss kiss as Esme strolls up. She thinks it’s their last hurrah before the “trial of the century.”
Elsewhere, Brook Lynn and Chase talk about his assets. He refuses to do a Magic Milo act. She’s referring to his voice, not his body. He’s not into it. She offers to be his manager, citing they can use auto tune and he can lip sync in person.
He admits that if anyone could make him a star it’d be her. She talks up finding a manager like Linc.
Chase shakes his head. He can see she’s not trying to help him but to help herself out of her own mess. Pissed, he stalks off.
Meanwhile, Cam watches Carly and goes to her and tells her she has lipstick on her teeth. She rubs her lipstick off on a napkin. He glances at Spencer, who intentionally calls Joss the “porno queen.”
Joss shoves him into the pool and when Esme sides with Spence, calling her a “bitch,” Joss shoves her in after him. Trina yells that Esme’s the only “bitch,” and pushes her into the pool.
They start splashing each other as Trina grins. Carly spots them and heads over to give them hell while Cam spots the napkin. Carly kicks Esme and Spence out, telling them they’re banned. Carly tells the girls to go home and calm down.
Outside in the park, Cam hands over the napkin to Spence so they can fake proving that they know who Esme’s mother is. Esme appears. She needs a hot shower. They take off.
Olivia runs into Drew. She’s looking for Nina outside her office and asks Drew what she should do to help Carly. Drew has an idea but he refuses to share. She tells him Metro Court is like a second home to her.
She can’t imagine losing it. She’s sure Carly feels the same. Nina appears and tells Drew he forgot his briefcase. Olivia lets Nina know that her invoices will be coming from her office, not Carly’s. All payments should come to her.
“Anything for Carly,” Nina says. Olivia heads out and Drew takes his briefcase. Now she knows why Drew is selling Crimson. He wants to cover Carly’s bad bet on the merger.
Why didn’t he tell her? He thought she’d reject him.
Olivia returns to the restaurant and gives Cody the job. Britt notices and they banter.
Back poolside, Drew finds Carly and tells her he did something, “And you’re not going to like it.”
